I'm really glad the gap since NSAD wasn't because you were done making music. 2 listens so far, and I'm loving the feel good sound of this one and it was definitely worth the wait, one of your best albums! I like the visualizer and album art too
I had high expectations for this due to the backstory surrounding it as well as due to Noontide Side Attic Drifter being the massive step up in production quality that it was, but this is even better than I thought it would be. You were right about it being a return to the Inside The Mainframe sound, and as someone who thinks Inside The Mainframe would be your best album if it weren't for the production quality, it's no surprise that this is probably my favorite album of yours so far. At first I was a little disappointed when I saw that Primavera was the only track from Parallelogram Season that made it onto the album since that was my least favorite from the session (with the other three being among my favorites in your discography) but I was pleasantly surprised by how it was utilized here. Definitely works a lot better as the big centerpiece of the album and it gave me a newfound appreciation for the track. Plus I get to have the mix which features the other three, all of which are amazing. Also WOW, I'm just gonna say it, Anything Not Saved Will Be Lost is the best track you've ever made. Easily the most emotionally resonant thing I've heard from you as well as the most professional-sounding. I could've been fooled into thinking it was by a much more established artist. I had the biggest grin on my face when I heard the guitar come in at the end. You've come a long way since One Tint. I'm sad I couldn't make it to the preview but I'm glad I could get my hands on a CD copy. This is your best work and I'm excited to see where you go next!
In my opinion, this is by far one of the best albums you’ve ever put out since 044444. Insantly loved what I was hearing when I joined the premiere of this album, bobbed my head and danced to pretty much all of the tracks, and even started getting quite emotional during the last part of the final track! All in all, I thought this whole album was a beautiful experience! Amazing work once again, Tommy!
Sorry I'm a bit late, but I just finished to the whole album. It was pretty great 👍 👍 I enjoyed almost every track. My favorites were Anything not saved will be lost, Hydraulic outlook, Primavera, The natural path, and Foliage adieu. They were really fantastic and some parts of them went hard 😁 I think the only two tracks that I didn't love were Earthlight and Unhealthy for sensitive groups (but they both were still decent). This is definitely your best album so far, and I'm excited for your future releases
this is the first album of yours i've listened to in full and now i regret not checking out the rest of your discography sooner. looking forward to seeing another commentary on this one if you're planning to do it
I really enjoyed Foliage adieu and The natural path, this is a great release - I suggest you experiment with one of a handful of AI Video gen tools to help you create visualizers - the possibilities are endless.
I know you from your review show. For some reason, I expected your music to be austere and maybe melancholic. I was not expecting all the colorful jazz chords and funky parts. Very nice.
Im up to hydrologic outlook and so far have loved everything ive heard. I would love to zoom with you to discuss the creative process behind this album. HMU if you’re interested/willing to chat with a fan! Again, amazing job! 👍
I do plan to eventually post a commentary video to the 256PiMusic channel going through my inspirations and the creative process and the like (as I have with my other old albums)
