    Another great Mountain Ram video showcasing Nepal's raw beauty. It's great to see the evolution of your video editing skills with each new video. My favorite part of the video is at minute 4:36! ;)
    What appeals to me about this trek is the remoteness of it. I would love to have enough time to trek both Mardi Himal and the Annapurna Circuit back to back. What a beautiful country!

      Dear Jenn, Thank you so much for liking and commenting on the video. Once again, thank you so much for the selfie stick. It was much easier taking video with it. You can do Annapurna Circuit Trek combined with Mardi Himal Base camp but you should come for longer holiday because it will be very long trek. See you soon :)

    Dear Ram it was so joyful to meet you today in person! In Kathmandu, in Thamel, having a coffee! Life is fantastic! Am so happy Nepal is open and we are allowed to hike again on these magnificent mountains, where we can experience the divine; by watching nature and by feeling one with the mountains. I also tremendously enjoyed your story of ascending mount Everest, especially the balcony episode. Just looking at your expression and your eyes,.. were enough to get a glimpse of the wonder you experienced, being on the highest mountain. So inspiring Ram, your attitude, your humbleness, your kindness.. thank you again for meeting me today. Tomorrow I am off to Mardi Himal and looking at your video this will be an amazing trekking. Cheers Ram, many thanks! Namaste, Talitha

    I don't think there are words in dictionary to describe the beauty of Himalayas. Your videos are the closet thing I could experience mother nature's masterpiece for now. So true, as you say, "the perspective of life changes drastically when you're up here in the mountains". I can't agree with you more -- Nature is my god, too! (But I'm surprised to hear you say that -- given that you're from such a religious culture!)
    Thanks!

    • @RamSharanUpreti1981
      @RamSharanUpreti1981  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mike, glad that you agree with my words. By the way, Nepal is a spiritual country so do't be surprised.

    • @miketimo99
      @miketimo99 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, agreed, Nepal is a very spiritual country -- but usually the people are also very religious, and don't view nature as their "god" (I suppose that some of the buddists may feel this way to some degree, but as you know the bulk of the population are hindus)
      Nothing wrong either way -- I was just surprised to hear you talk about nature. It was refreshing -- I feel exactly the same way!
      I'll also comment on the fact that you're one of the few trekking company leaders that I've seen that actually gets out and treks -- and loves it! A good friend of mine has a trekking company in Nepal, too -- but has never gone trekking!!

    • @RamSharanUpreti1981
      @RamSharanUpreti1981  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mike, i am glad that you know Nepal quite well. I am very happy that you feel the same way as i do. I feel sorry for your friend who has trekking company in Nepal and has never gone trekking :( I also have a trekking company called Mountain Ram Adventures but i have been almost every trekking route, sometimes as a porter, sometimes as a guide and recently i have started to explore alone too. To be a good trekking organizer, they need to know trekking areas well. Oh yeah, hope to meet you when you come to Nepal. Cheers :) . By the way, if you have 5 minutes, please watch this video about me th-cam.com/video/QMa0WcU1KXE/w-d-xo.html

    • @miketimo99
      @miketimo99 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yea, as others have said -- you've led an interesting life, and made quite a good life for yourself! It's really nice when you see someone pursuing their passions, I imagine that you were (or are) a great guide.
      I'll look you up next time I'm in nepal, maybe we can have a chia or a tongba together! I have lots of experience with Nepal, and consider it my real "home" -- many trekking trips, served there with Peace Corps (2000-02), and lived there for a while as a well. Plan to be back next spring (and again in the fall after that). As with you, the mountains are my passion (I live at 8600 feet elevation in the mountains of Colorado in the USA). And the reason I'm up so early in the morning now (it's 4:00am) is that I'm leaving on a hiking trip to the higher mountains!!!
      Great job on your videos -- I've watched many of them. First learned of you from Into_Thin_Air (Basa Pete).
      Namaste!
      Prakash (my Nepali name)

      Yeah, Basa Pete and i have trekked so many times so many places. We trekked to Everest Base Camp in 2006 and other places like Annapurna Circuit, Langtang, Manaslu and again Everest Base Camp. He is again willing to do Everest Base Camp next year Spring. Ok Prakash, lets meet up when you are back to your home (Nepal). Namaste, Ram

    Hello, we were looking for a trek around 5-6 days and this looks perfect. Your video was the most enjoyable of all we watched on trekking in Nepal. I have a few questions. First, weather in the end of February, temperatures at 3700 day and night(around)? Second, can we do this easily without a guide, and if not how much would a guide cost? Third, is there wifi or cell reception along the way( my wife is working on her masters remotely and needs to hand in assignments)? Thanks so much for the information.

    • @RamSharanUpreti1981
      @RamSharanUpreti1981  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Glen, Thanks for liking my video. Great to hear that you are willing to trek in Nepal in the end of February and yes, it is great time of the year to trek in Nepal even its bit cold. It will be (approximately) - 5 degree centigrade at night and +10 degree centigrade at day when sun is shining at 3700 meters. But weather will be great with clear sky :) Trekking in Nepal is not easy whatever trek you choose and its not safe to go without guide. Many times people get lost on the mountain when they trek without guide so i don't recommend you to go without guide. For the cost of the guide, please email me nischhal11@gmail.com or my company (Mountain Ram Adventures - info@mountainramadventures.com). NO, there is no wifi or cell phone reception on this trek but if you choose to go to Ghorepani Poonhill trek, you will get reception and wifi both in most of the places. Cheers, Ram

      @surojshrestha8255 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, there are wifi services above in the hotels. We did it just about 4 weeks ago. And there are markings of blue and white in the stones, trees and sign boards along the trail but It would be better if you take a guide as it has got some reports of missing trekkers to its name. And If fortunate, you can charge your devices too at high camp but you may have to pay for it as they get it only through solar panels and only in bright sunny day.

    Mardi is a great hike, but now has tea shops and hotels along the route, making it a lot less of a 'pristine' wilderness experience. That said, the Rhododendron forests and views of Annapurna are definitely worth it. I recommend trekking up from Syauli Bazar. Be sure to stop and say hi in Syauli Bazar (Shout out to Dilip and Bikas!).

    Hi Ram,
    I am from Dubai and last year I summited Mt.Elbrus in Europe..
    So I would like do a trek in Himalayas as well.
    What I want to know is when is the best month to trek while finding snow in the trail ,clear sky and also which trek gives the big mountain feel but also easy.

    • @RamSharanUpreti1981
      @RamSharanUpreti1981  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Bonny, I am really glad to hear that you have done some trekking and climbing things in Europe. But please remember, trekking and climbing in the himalayas is different to any other mountains in the world. Here, you have to do it all on high altitude and it makes a big different. Do you mean to see snow or walk on snow ? You can do any treks you like and see the snow but walking on the snow must be the climbing thing or you can go trekking in January or February so you get snowing on the mountain. But best months to trek in the himalayas are September, October, November, December, February, March, April and May (June and july and half August is raining season, and January is the coldest month) If you wish, i can organise your trek from my company Mountain Ram Adventures :)

      Ram Sharan Upreti can I get your email though.. I meant walking on snow...and by the way.. Mt. Elbrus happens to be the highest in Europe and we summited it.. like proper mountaineering.. so we are looking forward some of those adventures

    Hello Ram bro this is Resham, i truly love your videos. very good quality and so surreal however, most of them lack a bit of interactions with the locals. i'd suggest be more interactive with locals as well as the tourists. it will rather reflect, the real Nepal which incorporates the people as well as breathtaking views and i believe it will add more material to your story.
    Best of luck bro, would love to go on trekking one day with you.

      @RamSharanUpreti1981  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rejwan, I am glad to hear that you are arriving in Nepal on 29th March. Let me know how many days trek you are thinking of. If you don't have many days, go to Langtang trek which is only 7 days Kathmandu to Kathmandu, you will have chance to go to Glacier at Kyanjin Gompa. But there is no guarantee of snow fall though. Anyway, lets meet in Kathmandu, i will give you more info. You can either visit my office Mountain Ram Adventures at Z-Street, Thamel or call me on my mobile number.

      Thank you so much. Such a helpful person you are. But unfortunately we have only 4 days to visit Nepal. We are coming back to Bangladesh in 3.04.2018. Ram, is there any short trek that I can cover in this short period ? Or way to get Glacier ? What about Mardi Himal ? Tia.

    • @RamSharanUpreti1981
      @RamSharanUpreti1981  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh you don't have enough time for any treks like that then. Going to Glacier takes minimum of 5 days of hike. But you can do some short treks like going to Chisapani Nagarkot trek 3 or Chisapani, Nagarkot, Dhulikhel 4 days trek. You can choose these treks. Anyway, let me know if you need more information. Hi Bijay, Yes, its good that you are planning a trek to Mardi Himal. You can drive till kande and start the trek to Australian camp, forest camp, high camp and base camp then same route back then take your bike back. Or go to Siddhing to start on bike and finish there.

    Namaste Ram, is it better to start the trek from Dhampus or Kande? For a bunch of beginner trekkers?

    • @RamSharanUpreti1981
      @RamSharanUpreti1981  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Namaste Aashika, You can start trek from either place but i prefer starting from Kande so you can stay at a beautiful Australian camp or go further. Thanks for the comment.

    • @asiangeeksgaming6274

      Yeah start from kande
      Dhampus has a steeper climb compared to kande..
      And kande has a good market where you can buy your trekking essentials and have breakfast/lunch.
