    It’s so SAD that we don’t appreciate our culture at all. I love and embarrassed my culture daily. All my friends Indian children love and practice their culture and pass it down to their children. One of the reasons why I stopped English speaking in my home! We may be in 🇬🇧 but we are Africans. I thank Olodumare for Ifa, blessed to be a Nigerian and a Yoruba woman indeed.

    If you are not appreciated at home, you'll be appreciated outside. I noticed that Igbos and Hausas appreciates theirs and teaches their children everything even if they've never being home unlike a lot of yorubas who are too ashamed of theirs.

    Lovely,wherever we are ,we are not suppose to forget our culture and traditional because no matter how we copy another culture we can never get it perfect like them,my people let's wake-up ,let's appreciate ourselves,our culture,let's stop being someone else(teni n teni,tekisa n taatan)other wise oyinbo will be selling our culture for us very soon (eni to tara ile e lopo, ko le rira to ba dowon)

      He has been educated for a long time (since he was 4, gaining wisdom, knowledge. skills, i.e. Ifa) what you mean is you didn't realise he also received western form of education, i.e. speaking, reading or writing in English

      Speaking, reading and writing English translates to nothing. What you can create to benefit mankind is more important. BTW, in so doing you become successful.

    I later realized that am deceiving myself for been a Christian .long time ago i had have the feelings that christanity is going to fuck up..too many fake teaching ,miracles and rituals among Pastors and Prophets ..only our traditional religion are exceptional because there is always a pay back for a Babalawo with wrong teachings and fake healing. Oloriburuku ni awon Daddy GOs all over Nigeria and Africa .

    Hmmm..I wonder why programmes like Ifa Olokun Asoro Dayo seem to have disappeared from screens in the south-west (do correct me if I'm wrong). Could it possibly be because christian evangelism (not the old school Anglican, Cathlolic etc) has gripped so called "educated/modern/westernised" Yorubas in a bizzare, cult-like stupor..

      @shesanmichaeliwaloye5249 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      TK Ooo you are right, it's due to Christianity in yoruba Land, because IFA is been critizise and preach against as a demonic Religion, which is Absolutely false.. they all misinterprate the IFA or yoruba Tradition, but nowadays, we have a Lot of Fake Pastors and religion in yoruba Land, mostly in Nigeria in General.
