Omg this is a true gem of a cover., I'm obsessed! Can't believe this hasn't gone viral yet!? Her voice is both angelic and soulful. It's as if Dolly Parton had a baby with the Norwegian artists Susanne Sundfør and Emilie Nicolas (both very much worth checking out 😉)
I thought the same thing also, from the very first time I heard her. She definitely has a Dolly Parton vibe. What I also hear is the amazing and incredibly beautiful artistry and vocalizations of Indian, Asian and Arabic singers that is usually lost on Westeners simply because we’re not part of that culture. So to me, she’s a little bit of East meets West and it’s all very new, modern and, relevant. I’m playing this song on repeat. Wasn’t into it at first but by the time she hit the last note, I had to listen to it again. It touches me to the core and leaves me feeling happy and refreshed. Thank you Debbii!!

Stunning! One of my all time favorite songs. I’ve heard dozens of covers of this song and, in my opinion, none could ever even come close to being as enjoyable as the original. This is the closest I’ve heard to matching that chills-inducing feel the first time I saw Chris Martin perform this on stage. Such a young artist already in the same league as Coldplay. I’m sold 👏🏼
