Such a weird title but haven't watch it, i heard it does very good at asian box office and reception is impressive, but im not sure if it will win since there will be always something from Cannes or Venice to go for the prize

@@emiliobello2538 When i said my choices didn't mean i would take out some actual winners, i live parasite and yes close deserve more than just a nom( Sorry AQITWF but i like at least 5 more films that you)
What a great list of films here. I don't agree with every winner but that doesn't mean the movies still aren't great. Anyone who is a true cinephile should write these titles down and find them and watch them.
I hope one day this category gives a nomination to Thailand, Laos, Singapore, Senegal, Mali, Chad, Lesotho, Luxembourg, Portugal, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Lithuania, or even New Zealand
Question is When is this Category gonna be giving to the Directors & Producers like Best Animated Feature & Best Documentary Feature in this Category instead of given it to the Country?
For me worst international winner is " In a better world" Nothing in the film is bad but when you have three other films from three acclaim directors that end up getting acclaim over the years. I wouldn't called best choice, also that Thailand film should also been nominated
Susanne Bier is an acclaimed director long before Yorgos, in that year Yorgos was not so well known internationally, in addition Susanne was nominated 4 years before winning in the same category directing the great actor Mads Mikkelsen
Actually, it has to do more with the qualification period a film needs to be released within to qualify. Godzilla: Minus One just happened to be released after this year's period, thus it could not be entered then. Thus you have Japan entering a different film to serve as their entry from last year.

When a media institution, a state, a ministry of culture, or even associations submit a film to compete for an Oscar, the film project must also be recognized, as it in fact justifies the project of someone who considered himself a god in the pre-Islamic era, who was a rival to the Prophet Abraham, peace be upon him. And without including events as if they were incidental, describing only suffering and events, it would have been more appropriate to abandon the ethics of awareness. This is what is really happening in Algeria, and it is a leader in international terrorism.
And lastly you put The Zone Of Interest Even though the movie was mediocre. That speech was beautiful. He humanized all Holocaust Victims and Gaza Victims and October 7 victims. Said they were all suffering and only depicted IDF as bad, not Israelis as a whole I think either Shayda or Housekeeping For Beginners or The Taste Of Things or Goodbye Julia or Music Is My Life or The Wandering Earth 2 should have been nominated instead. And that The Teachers Lounge or Perfect Days should have won Society is rigged by accusing Jonathan Glazer of being antisemitic No to antisemitism 🟦 No to Islamophobia No to war No to genocide Also glad that Cillian Murphy won for Oppenheimer and dedicated it to peacemakers everywhere And the speech of 20 Days in Mauripol winning. And an honor that Bobi Wine The People’s President was also nominated
