I have been stopped by the police 4 times, complied with their orders - two small tickets and 2 warnings. A few minutes of my life and no drama. All white officers.

I just recently got pulled over for driving in the median, here in south jersey, it’s 4 points. I told the officer, I’m running late for work, I’m still on probation, and I have to get to work and it was just a lot of traffic. I’m so sorry. He smiled, took my info, and gave me a lesser ticket that only cost me, $65. We shook hands and he was like if they ask why ur late now u have a real reason, good luck.
I’ve been stop over 20x on foot ,4 in my car and 2 warrants put on me for looking like someone else.6 months in prison and 4 years of probation for a crime I didn’t commit and I’m a FBA from Baltimore City born in raised in America 🇺🇸.

I'm a big black dude with tats and I drive around with a loaded concealed weapon 95% of the time, been pulled over numerous times (mostly white cops) but only have 1 ticket on my record, to me it is very hard to get into a conflict with a police officer, most of them don't even want to do the paperwork, drop the ego and be respectful its really that simple

Speeding down the street 230 am was pulled over by the police. Being respectful told him just returned from nyc, 10 hour drive, Im taking this guy home and literally my home is right there across the street and Im exhausted. He let me go with a warning. We have to stop this mess of having no accountability and victim blaming....

I was doing 110 in 55 at 5am. When i pulled over in darker area. I rolled down all 4 windows. He thanked me for making him feel a lil safer. Still got ticket. But i didn't go to jail. And ticket was for 10 over.

Just my opinion but I felt the players egos played a big part in this situation by refusing to just follow the directives.

Coming from my experience being pulled over for speeding, most cops would either give me a warning or write me a ticket and say I was going a speed lower than what I was actually going so it's not as severe. When a cop pulls me over and I know I'm wrong, I'm not about to sit there and argue with them. I already have my documents in my hand before they even approach the vehicle becasue I just accept accountability.

26 year retired law enforcement professional here. Most of my career was as an internal affairs detective. In this case Tyreek definitely escalated this unnecessarily. The officer was polite initially. Yeah dude you did too much, that's what you get, stop playing with the cops😂

Mr. Daniels, I also felt and could not understand why everyone was on the Tyreek Hill bandwagon and I spoke to a friend, and he said, it is the police's job to be a professional peace officer. He also brought up the fact that Mr. Hill's right to freedom of speech. Mr. Hill does not have to roll or keep his window down once he handed him his license. The officer may not like how Mr. Hill spoke to him, but freedom of speech protects him and to take him down or force him out of his car for a speeding ticket is not necessary. We as citizens must know our rights as well when dealing with the police. Of course I was raised to be respectful of the police because I'm from the deep south/old country. He did comply, almost immediately by giving up his license. Answering a officer about what you didn't have on your seatbelt is not being non compliant. It's a general tactic police use to try to build a defense against you.... so you don't have to comply to police to tell on yourself. When you don't play their game, then they get hurt with obey me. But the stop should have been over once he produced his license. What there’s no law saying that you have to sit on the ground you’ll find out he has broken civil rights
1. Hill was speeding.
2. Window was down when the police officer told him to pull over.
3. Hill rolled his window up as the officer approached.
4. When pulled over, you are supposed to turn ignition off, roll windows down, and have license/registration/proof of insurance ready to present.
5. Hill repeatedly had an attitude with the officer that initiated the traffic stop and rolled the window up in mid conversation, while only presenting his license.
6. When told to get out, Hill changed his attitude to "hold up, hold up, hold up" and did not open the door immediately.
7. Once the door was open, the second officer was overly aggressive to pull Hill from the car BUT you can see Hill be dead weight and not get out under his own power.
8. While Hill was on the ground, he was "resisting" by trying to continue to use his phone to talk to someone.
9. Once Hill was detained, he played victim and refused to sit down so the second "overly aggressive" officer forcibly made him sit down. While he complained about his knee?
10. During a traffic stop it is illegal to interfere with police involvement. You CAN NOT walk up onto a traffic stop while leaving your vehicle unattended blocking traffic.
Debrief: Hill was 100% in the wrong and showed entitled/abrasive/defiant behavior to the officer, which led to the officer's showing no mercy. Now the "second aggressive officer" didn't violate Hill's civil rights, but he was overly aggressive considering Hill was being defiant yet half-assed compliant. Police are human also, if you are an asshole to officers, they can be one right back.

Part of the job of a cop is to desculte a situation if the person you are involved with is being rude. Not make things worst by handcuff people and tow cars. I think the cop or cops that had their feelings hurt and ego's damaged. Need re-training.
Tyrek needs to be more respectful and learn to keep his window down or down enough for the cop to see inside your car in the future. There is no law that states you have to keep your window down. But is a good idea if you have tint.

At that point the officer can you whatever strategy he needs to secure his safety. Can he still try verbally, of course. Plenty of videos out there showing when that doesn't work and an officer gets shot, or gets away and hurts innocent people in the process, or a combination of both. Could this strategy the officer just did have backfield, of course. I would have done the exact same thing. His attitude projects he doesn't have any concern for my safety, so who knows where that will lead. You want to act like a thug, then you're going to get treated like one. I'm going to get you in cuffs and then we will sort out what is going on.

I've been pulled over more times than i can count over my 50 years. I've never had any issue whatsoever with cops. I've got away with warnings multiple times because of my demeanor.
One particular time, i was speeding down a residential street when a cop pulled me over. When he asked, "Do you know why i pulled you over?" i straight up told him yes, it's a sunny day, i opened up my sunroof, and i have a heavy foot.
I gave him info, along with my conceal carry license, and told him i have my firearm in my center console! (back when you had to inform them i live in TX). He ran my info, came back, and said, "Becuase you were honest with me, im going to give you a warning. Most people lie and act like they dont know why i pulled them over! As a matter of fact, your the nicest most polite person ive ever stopped!"
The officer lawfully commanded him to exit the vehicle SEVEN TIMES before taking action.
Can you imagine how easily he could’ve been humble

After a person hands a cop their license, they can roll their window up. All the cop had to do was write the ticket.
