- ImageSorter is an image browsing application, which allows an automatic sorting by color, date taken, name, or size.
The idea of ImageSorter is to find images of which you remember how they look but you forgot in which folder they were. If one or several folders are selected, all images from these folders will be visually arranged such that similar images are close to each other. In this sorted display it will be much easier to find a particular image. Selected images can be copied, moved or deleted (right mouse click).

Visual image search and sorting
This software was a bit glitchy for my experience - says it's loading the folder but never finishes loading, even though it's a little folder with only a few small .png icons - it would freeze while loading. Had to minimize the software and bring it back to the foreground, then it magically unfroze itself. Even then, the sorting result was not ideal in my case, tried sorting it based on color but I was not impressed with the ordering. However, since it's a freeware, it's better than nothing! Thanks for providing us with this tool, regardless :)
On our website we mentioned that this is an old software that we do not support anymore. If you are a Mac user try PicArrange.

Left mouse button drag holding CRTL to select similar images is not working on V4.3. Is there any way to do it, or sort the images in a list instead of a table? The sphere display is also not available.
Hey, I´d like to do a webgallery where I can filter/sort the images by different tags but also like in your application by color. I am no coder, so I don´t really no where to look. Could you help me out or point me in the right direction? Thanks, E

If you are a Mac user you can use PicArrange to export the sorted arrangements.
how can i save the filtered images save into a seperate folder?
select the images (shift + drag a selection rect), then right click on the selection
Is there a way to get rid of the gaps that show up when you filter by colour?
If the number of images can be expressed as a rectangle with N x M images, there will be no gaps if the aspect ratio of the display area fits this ratio. For example, if you have 120 images, 12 x 10 images will work if the aspect ratio of the display area is also 12 x 10 or 10 x 12 (or 5 x 24 ... :). After resizing ImageSorter you can perform a resort by right clicking in the display area.

Great tool ! as a designer i love this ! i got the 4.2 beta but can't search images on google, in fact i just can't search images on the net. do you how can i fix this problem ?
