when greta was talking about the relationship of women and money and art I immediately thought of a room of one's own, and then she referenced it and now I feel like an intelectual
I really loved the whole cast, especially Timothee Chalamet as Laurie. It was the first time with any Laurie that I really heard him beg Jo to love him, and I fully felt his heart break. Yet I fully understood why Jo couldn't even entertain the idea of romance with him, because of the way Greta built the relationship of these two characters. it was so clear Jo saw him as a brother and playmate.
I know, I’ll admit I felt a lot of the previous adaptions of the proposal felt almost comical, I never felt too bad for Laurie because I was like aww he’ll be fine!!! He’s young he’ll find someone!!!. But Timothees was the first version where I was like ... “.......will he be ok tho? Jo how could you?” 😂😂
I really love how Meryl Streep defends Aunt March, even if she doesn't agree with a lot of what the character is about. She understands her, and is able to put herself in that place. I feel like that's really important when portraying someone, real or not, you have to like them and you have to defend them, cause If you don't, the audience won't either. Sorry for my English
You should watch her other movie Fighting with my Family! Not only a lot of comedy but also drama and Florence does some cool wrestling stunts in the movie!
@@melissatranfield4054 Emma is so famous that she probably has clauses and contracts regarding her involvement in press tours - in short she can basically choose what she wants to do/ or she's got scheduling conflicts, but that seems unlikely as she's been at multiple premieres of the film
Excellent! I have never deliberately watched the Kardashians, but I visiting at a hospital where a Kardashian marathon was playing. My mouth was hanging open in shock, after one episode,. With no remote to save me, I spent the afternoon making comments such as "Keeping up with the Kardashians--why would anyone want to?" Fans have told me that the Kardashians are like junk food you know is a waste of calories, but you still eat it.
Kathleen O'Neill pretty much hahhaa I was watching one day and my mum was like god who could stand to watch them... 2 weeks later and she was asleep on the couch and guess what show was in the middle of a marathon on tv...
Amazingly GREAT questions. Usually they are the same old questions that the actors are tired of answering and when they do, the answers seem mundane. But somehow these questions managed to be specific enough that they are answerable but yet the questions were open enough so that whatever the actors responded to them, it seemed interesting.
Kudos to Ms. Gerwig! I believe she has truly emerged as a vital, exciting female director on the scene. Someone who is blisteringly intelligent and essential.
At 7:50 Saoirse Ronan is talking about how acting under Greta's guidance is so nice and I have heard in other Greta Gerwig interviews how she values the freedom that structure gives. This time I thought of a great yet simple analogy; it's like a coloring book vs. a paint by number. In the coloring book the lines are their and sharp and the artist (or actor) can do anything they want as long as it fits between the lines where in a paint by l number creates a good sometimes beautiful product it's the same every time. That just gave this part of the interview so much more value to me
Before watching this interview, I was feeling a little bummed that after Lady Bird, Greta Gerwig had chosen to direct yet another adaptation of Little Women, a book I had enjoyed as a kid, but had no desire to revisit. After watching this discussion, I can’t wait to see this new version.
i forgot meryl streep was in little women. if that doesn't speak highly of the movie as a whole that meryl streep isn't the best thing about it, then idk what does
Pause the frame at 33:16 and look at Meryl. That is the greatest mic drop moment for Greta. Amazing. She literally is the reincarnation of Louisa May Alcott.
“The story is about the women and the men are creeping in…” *in a panel of women, Timoteé’s microphone is literally on the fucking floor hahahaha We’re literally magnifying the voice of the women here, I love it
‘i dont know if i answered your question, but i said some stuff’ i cant tell you how perfectly this encapsulates my daily interactions
“Sometimes the future reaches down and pulls you forward.”
Greta is a poet in her daily life, I don't know if I've ever revered someone so much.
Great quote
Someone get Florence Pugh to do an audiobook please!
Yes, please!! I want that! I could listen to her voice every fucking day!
32:59 watch Timothee after the "future pulls you forward" remark
he loves Greta lol
"Hey Wayne Gretzky" lol
when greta was talking about the relationship of women and money and art I immediately thought of a room of one's own, and then she referenced it and now I feel like an intelectual
What about a moment when Meryl Streep went on and contunied the line you were thinking about? I would die of arrogance right there😁

florence pugh is hilarious omg i love her
14:15 “so you could leave, but you left with nothing.” Well said.
when greta said "sometimes the future reaches down and pulls you forward" i really felt that
14:42
Florence : I won!
Saoirse : In a way, I mean who wrote the book though, like?
LOL Saoirse always has the best comeback!!!
She got the house and Timmy. Thats a WIN!
Florence should have said: Well, the last time you write a book, you destroyed two perfectly good lives.
and Meryl's response "no no no, you lost babe, because she got the house!"

I watched Florence in Midsommar and she's an amazing actress, but I had no idea she's so much fun! Honestly, I'm excited to see more of her future!
You should watch her other movie Fighting with my Family! Not only a lot of comedy but also drama and Florence does some cool wrestling stunts in the movie!
Same!!
Same! I never thought this girl was that funny! What an actress!
She’s gonna be in Black Widow
"Sometimes the future reaches down and pulls you forward" Greta wins my heart every time
Came for Meryl and Timothee, stayed for Flo, and got smitten by Greta. That last line.
John Jasper Cortes saoirse?
I wish Emma was there, I miss her on interviews!
DROOG it's nice that you what you are saying but your Picture says you have other reason
Where is Emma?

I came here from a video about the kardashians. Now I have intellectual whiplash.
bahahahahaha. good one.

19:18 Idk if Saoirse and Timothée are looking at each other or admiring Florence😂
The second option for me. 😂
he is in love with saoirse it's obvious and she likes it)
I don't think so, guys. They're only good friends.
they are looking florence
They're just good friends, so the second option

I love how Meryl is thrown when the host returns to her before asking a question to Florence or Tiomthée. She shows no ego here.
That last line though Greta!
"Sometimes the future reaches down and pulls you forward." Wow!
Omg! I love Florence! So glad she is in a Marvel movie!
Meryl: No, you lost babe because she got the house
Me: Well she got Laurie!
This interview is so elite smart questions, smart answers, from a big group of smart people phew
33:05 the way meryl reacts to greta's last words. 😊
the way timothee looks at laura AW THEYRE LIKE SON AND MOTHER
18:36 i guess Timmy always put good attention to the speaker :)

"And sometimes future reaches down and pulls you forward" !
i love florences laugh omg
the future reaches down and pulls you forward. greta is a talent
When will Emma join the promotional tour....?
Timothee speaks in riddles
was wondering why the music was so menacing then i realised i vertigo was playing on another tab hahah
I could listen to them talk about food all day!
Florence reminds of the "Winter's Bone time" Jennifer Lawrence.... Hope she makes the same interesting choices in the future like J-Law did....
I think she just did i mean she also in black widow now you know
@@kekasihbening6114 Yes!! I always think that haha! I really hope she becomes more famous like Jennifer Lawrence! They both are hilarious actresses!

Amy also a winner, she married the man (laurie) she loves and that man also is rich..
All I see is Mary Louise and Renata
So excited to watch this movie.
its so fun to listen to flo
We do need a sequel! 💗
Crazy good interview. Thank you Stacey.

I love them all so much!
Is Emma having a no - interviews period?
Yeah I wonder 🤔.
i was waiting to hear what meryl had to say
Great interview!!!!
I love this interview and the contents are great, but as a sound person I have two words: microphone feedback.
love u meryl
Greta is an absolute genius!
I wish Emma was there.........................Where is Emma?????????????????
I know.
love the cast in this movie but why was the interviewer giving them english open response questions lmaooooo
This is completely random but I love Greta's earring HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
does anyone know when the thing on timothee's wrist disappears in the movie that he was talking about at 20:38 ??
yep. the flashback to the beach. it's a bandana.
“One of them is about a group of strippers who drug their male clients” and the other one is hustlers. I thought this could have been a good joke.
Why is Emma Watson barely in any interviews relating to Little Women?
That's what I wanted to know.
She’s a director now. So could it have been she stopped acting
I wish Emma Watson was there 😭
14:35 lmao
I still can't believe jo and laurie don't end up together they need to be together
greta is a genius
gretaaaaaaa.....
26:34
28:36
With the amount of struggling Greta does to get words out of her mouth it's amazing she managed to sell her vision of the story
Maybe she's nervous or excited? Maybe she's not that savvy with interviews yet? It's a learned skill to be able to speak in public like that.
Maymuna Kabir you don’t need to be articulate when your husband is a famous director
"Having the bravery to tell it again"??? This movie gets remade every few decades
if they didn't make it, someone else certainly would have
There is a bravery in telling it in this way though, especially when so many people must have questioned the wisdom of adapting it again!
