  • Hi Friends, in this video I tell you guys a little bit about my living situation here in Stockholm. This is an up-close look at my 35 sq meter studio apt that I pay around $1500 USD/ 13500SEK a month for. By NYC standards my studio is pretty big and a good deal. What do u think?

Living in the city or newly constructed buildings are for sure way more expensive, more than double the prize than renting in the suburbs. I live in a 45 sq meter apartment along the green subway line, 15 minutes from Stockholm city and i pay around 450 USD a month. Everything i need is near where i live, i rarely go into the Stockholm city.

I’m looking to move to Sweden from Louisiana with my girlfriend, for a better quality of life as a lesbian woman. Especially after the over turn of roe vs wade. I’m scared and so I’m doing intensive research and I keep coming back to Sweden. Thank you SO much for your videos.

Love your place. How did you manage to get it ? Did you use an agency to help you find the place ?

I should not say too much but for that cost you should be able to get a bigger apartment. ✨🎶 Söder? That smile and God is a black woman. ✨. Nice place

Which area in Stockholm are you living in? I’m moving to Stockholm from Korea this month and looking at apartments in different areas. Your video really helps!

Hi Victoria! Just wondering if the apartment unit is already furnished when you moved in or did you have to buy each of the household item. Also, I remember reading somewhere that TVs in Sweden have high taxes? Lol correct me if I'm wrong. 😅

Hi, yes it was furnished when I moved in but it honestly depends on the apartment. Sometimes when people rent their own apartments because they are traveling or moving cities they will leave the furniture. But sometimes they wont. Also, yes taxes are very high here. Hope that helps! :)

I see. I guess I'm adding "furnished" to my checklist when looking for an apartment. Hopefully I can make the big move soon. Thanks for the info! ❤️

Useful video. But why do you keep saying "SEK" instead of Crowns or Kronor?

Do you have a parking space that goes with the apartment?

I'm almost sure it doesn't. If you live near the city centre (or even a bit outside) of Stockholm, you don't need a car. Not even Swedes go by car in the city centre as the city is extremely biking and walking friendly AND the public transport works great. :)

Which town? And did you have to be on a waiting list or is your contract second-hand?
