I know it sucks the way you got soft locked but even in it’s a glitch or it’s bugged that’s the way It’s MEANT TO BE PLAYED in the current state of the game and how the game is coded right now. I hate to say it but you should’ve man up and take the L.
To anyone saying i should've used the D100 to possibly TP out, why should i have to reroll a bangin' run all because the game soft-locked? I'd use the Debug Console 10,000 more times before letting the game force me to reroll because of it soft-locking. I'm not going to give the game the satisfaction.
The reverse Emperor card sends you to a boss fight from the boss pool available two floors ahead of your current floor, only leaving one exit door back to your current floor once the boss is dead. Since the Mom fight doesn't have a normal exit door I guess that means the card is bugged only when you use it two floors before the Mom fight.
Sinvicta , if you read this , the bug was around for a while , it also only happens in caves II , flooded caves II and Catacombs II , it always goes to mom fight where it soft locks you , the reverse emperor card works in other floors
Someone else might have already said this, but proptosis was actually buffed so it deals 3x damage instead of the previous 2x, however the tears stay airborne for a fixed amount of time before disappering completely, this does mean however that the effective range can be increased with shot speed.
The inverted Emperor is a mess. Any special floor breaks it. On a normal floor it (usually) works as intended or at least that what I’ve seen in videos. Mom floor and Mother floor soft lock. Something weird happens with hush floor I think.

Fun fact I learned about laundry: the act of seperating colours is a tradition that has been passed down since the time of the original chemical based cleaners. Because the chemicals in the soap were so much stronger, and less "safe", it would cause colours to bleed, or run together. Howeved, since a considerable amount of time has passed, companies refined the recipe for the laundry soap, to make it less "harmful" to clothes. Unless youre using a really strong cleaner, and have incredibly contrasting coloues (like red and white) together, theres very little chance for your clothing colours to run together. Youre more likely to change the colour of your clothes in the washer because you left something in your pocket.

For me, it's almost a bit intimidating because there's so many different fabrics and types of clothing, all with their own little rules and DOs and DON'Ts, and some washing machines can have a lot of different settings on them and it's like "What does this do? Is this right? What's the 'default' setting?" I never learned how to do laundry as a kid - my mom had a bunch of clothes that were all made of different fabrics, and my dad had a bunch of shirts that couldnt go in the dryer, etc. I was scared of possibly destroying my parents' clothes or something. At least I eventually wrapped my head around the how to use the dryer, but the washing machine is still something of a mystery to me.

Proptosis had its damage drop off changed. It's actually higher damage at point blank range then it used to be but its lower at almost all other distances. The damage drop off also ignores range upgrades now. So it will almost always feel like less damage than it used to.
Reverse emperor doesntt always soft lock you, it summons a boss 2 floors down so if u do it on caves 2 it will make u go to the mom fight which doesnt spawn a door.
Proptosis direct damage multiplier was nerfed to only 1.5 as opposed to 2.0, however there is now a separate damage multiplication factor applied to range rather than an inverse one applied over the mega tears, meaning that at farther ranges your doing less than normal tears, at mid range you deal a little less than old proptosis and a close range you actually do a whopping 3.8X YOUR DAMAGE. So it was more of a reword than a nerf and now it is much more befitting of it's description and CQC playstyle. Hope that's helpful! Next time you go proptosis be sure to hug your enemies even closer than usual! PS. This also means that it goes better with extra dmg multipliers now, since it'll multiply the multiplied number on top of the additive ones, meaning it's a gargantuan amount of damage over the course of a run.
"Internal clock" might be the term you're looking for. I always think of the episode of Seinfeld when Kramer gets a hot tub in his apartment. He's supposed to call and wake up someone to catch a plane but falls asleep in the hot tub and the power goes out and his internal clock gets messed up.

Common myth @Sinvicta, the new age soap for clothes doesn't actually cause color to saturate to other clothing nearly as much as it used to. So there's no reason to separate clothes based on color anymore really. Not that the soap stops color saturation in general, but it isn't as prevalent as it was before.

You could've escaped the softlock by D7ing out of the Mom's boss room with the DInfinity D7 is such an underrated item, it's one of the only ways you can escape the The Emperor? softlock at the cost of doing another room a second time
Proptosis got a rework, now it does .1 damage at max range, but more damage up close. It's more like a shotgun effect rather than an overall bud like it was before
Proptosis does way more damage now given that you are shooting your enemies point-blank, however, shooting your enemies at max distance the damage drops to a third of your base damage. It is a rework that makes you play closer to your enemy.
proptosis has been changed so that in the farther ranges your damage starts drecreasing more, in afterbirth+ the lowest damage achieved was 65% opposed to the new 3% in rebirth. Also the new proptosis gives his damage now passively instead as a damage multiplier.

Honestly the only way he could’ve gotten out of that soft lock is using the temperance card, bomb it, hope for 2 hearts or 1 and use d1, then hope for dark bum to give a teleportation card like the hermit or the fool
I know it's a bit late but usually anything from the bed is to be sun dried, for it to not lose it's shape but no harm in one or two uses of a dryer PS. Also it's usually recommended to hand wash (I don't do it so I'm not telling you to do it, but do sun dry your bed stuff)

D7 would have done the tp out without the reroll or anything. Other would have been risking to reroll the temperance card and get a fool card
