  • We are documenting our adventure on the Mist Trail in Yosemite. What an epic year to experience all Yosemite has to offer.
    Our hike to this trail round trip was around 5 miles and took us around 6 hrs. We spent 1-2 hours at least on top of the falls having lunch and drying out a little.
    We loved the challenge and the whole water logged experience.
    Sorry for the technical issues of water in the mic. 🥴
    Thanks for watching!

    The Mist Trail up to Vernal Falls is one of our favorite hikes in Yosemite. It's impressive how much water it carries this time of year. Thanks for sharing. 👍🙂

    So good.
    I've hiked along this trail to top of Half Dome twice.
    Always in August. So there was never much water

    Wringing out the socks. Wow.

    This is the most unclose and personal video I have seen and I am so thankful you recorded this. I don't know that I'll be able to do this particular trail given all the steps and the esp steep area up to the apron. Yikes!! How long was that stretch?

    We were there in May of 2021, most rivers were barely flowing, Mirror lake was almost dried up…it’s still an amazing place to visit. Great video, thanks for sharing and safe travels!

    We like following your adventures and were wondering how long did the Vernal falls hike take and was the elevation a problem, thanks.

    • @TurnerMaxAdventures
      @TurnerMaxAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      The elevation wasn't an issue. The hike took longer than we thought. The John Muir trail going back down (the dry way down) was 2.5 miles and the hike up was 1.5. We also spent a little over an hour on top having lunch and just enjoying the view and experience. Overall, it took about 6 hours.

    You should have shown the warning signs above Vernal Falls about staying away the edge. Haha. It looks safe in places upstream however the rocks are extremely slippery. It takes just a split second to fall in, next thing you are going over the falls. Kids get too close, slip fall in, their friends try to help, they fall in. Are the statistics once a year at least two people die slipping and going over the falls? Then it’s the gruesome job for park rangers recovering the bodies.

    does Yosemite NP have an RV park or did u find another RV park to camp? If so, where did u camp ?

    • @TurnerMaxAdventures
      @TurnerMaxAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, they have an Upper and Lower small camper section. We stayed in the park at Upper Pines Campground. No hookups.

      We have seen bears in yellowstone, last fall in west Virginia, but most by far when we visited Glacier NP in 2018
