This has probably occurred to you already, but sending uranium ammo to the space platforms is a waste of time. Yellow ammo (which you can easily produce on the space platform itself) is more than enough to deal with the small asteroids - and slowing your platform down will make the asteroids less threatening as they will approach you slower, so you can trade speed for reliability. And I'd recommend going for some quality asteroid grabbers ASAP since you're already using quality modules. They're incredibly good.
I did consider it, but since it was my first time going to another planet i used uranium ammo to be safe. Now that i know what to expect, my next platform design will probably use locally sourced ammo. I'll also make sure to check out the quality grabbers when I make the new platform design 👍
Feel like this could have be simplified by just adding a centralized sorting depot. Have it count full stacks at the pickup, then once the pickup is full, pull it to a centralized sorting area to handle actual distribution of products. Its a much more straight forward solution I feel.
If I understand correctly, you are talking about sorting the items into their own chests on the first island and counting each item separately. Then when an item type reaches sufficient quantity send it to a train station for transport?
29:50 man i laughed so hard. Extremelly underrated channel, hope you blow up soon!
