I like you guys putting your opinions out there. It shows courage and strong character to face public opinion.
John Lennox, a mathematian, without listing all his qualifications, puts into perspective that if God created us with no free will, we would all be robots. A robot will obey every order, but it is not free.
Also that “love” needs to be free in order to be true love.
Hence, if good created us with the freedom to choose, he would arguable not force us to follow him or in other words be be a robot.

Thanks man! Yeah there’s also the part about pre-destination which is also in the Bible meaning that Yahweh knows what we’re going to do before we’re even born. I’ve always struggled to see that and free will coexisting.

3:50 the analogy is comparing a tangible action VS an imposed belief based on zero evidence or merit. This is evidence that IF God existed, he is cruel and you MUST accept your fate he wrote for you as a sign of faith. OR... he doesn't exist.. God is a construct our meat brains created to explain away things we don't understand, or as a way to calm ourselves in times of uncertainty. "Let me save you from the things I'm going to do to you when you accept me as your savior." It's madness, and sadly an evolutionary and social hindrance to our species evolution.

Perhaps the perplexing profundity of LIFE, LIVING, GOD & the NATURE of EXISTENCE can be encapsulated as one ruminates on this classic 60s Jazz/Vocalese song by its creators, the late, great, LAMBERT, HENDRICKS, and ROSS with "WHAT AM I HERE FOR?"....the the final line in the song: ..." I might as well enjoy myself, 'cause that's what I'm here for".
Give it a listen and reflect on its lyrics, delivered in a JAZZY manner, however as profound answers to the Questions you bring up in this episode.
LINK to "WHAT AM I HERE FOR?", by Lambert, Hendricks, and Ross. (NOTE: I DID experience the joy of seeing & hearing the great Singer, Lyricist, Jon Hendricks sing two songs at a Hollywood Bowl Jazz line-up shortly before he left us all at the ripe age of 96. R.I.P. Sir Jon.)

this video is pointless... you are questioning that which you don't understand
