I think we all know why the war is taking longer and Netanyahu is certainly not the reason. What is coming in the way of seedy conclusion of the conflict is the US and UN policies which are weak and wavering in this matter. Netanyahu has shown great leadership not only in the war but in accepting mistakes as well as having a listening ear to humanitarian concerns and collaboration with international partners including US. This war is a particularly difficult one as much of it is in dismantling understood infrastructure of terrorism. Hamas has shown absolutely no humanitarian concern.

Palestinians are and have long been some of the most educated, skilled, and progressive people in the Arab world. Gaza is filled with a disproportionate number of PhD students, civil engineers, poets and doctors (or was, at least, until Israel started killing them all). Your healthcare facilities and pharmacies in Israel depend on high-skilled Palestinian professionals. It’s your country that has special forces commandos come into primary school classrooms to get the kids hyped up about joining Sayaret Matkal. It’s your country that indoctrinates settler children with romantic ethnic-nationalism in radical Yeshivas, trains them to use guns form a young age, and lets them run wild in the West Bank vandalising Palestinian property, spitting at people, ripping off women’s hijabs and graffitiing “death to Arabs” or even “gas the Arabs” all over the place. Starting with the unconfirmed number of casualties and the non-differentiation between terrorists and civilians. This is gross and shouldn’t be accepted, that’s how false narratives grow and motivate more terror.
The Hamas-reported casualties are likely a vast undercount. Every Palestinian death is confirmed by name and ID number in consultation with a mortuary or hospital. The only way you can get to Israel’s absurd claim of 9, 12, or 13 thousand terrorists killed is if you are a bloodthirsty racist who defines every fighting-age Gazan male as an enemy combatant

Palestinians are and have long been some of the most educated, skilled, and progressive people in the Arab world. Gaza is filled with a disproportionate number of PhD students, civil engineers, poets and doctors (or was, at least, until Israel started killing them all). Your healthcare facilities and pharmacies in Israel depend on high-skilled Palestinian professionals. It’s your country that has special forces commandos come into primary school classrooms to get the kids hyped up about joining Sayaret Matkal. It’s your country that indoctrinates settler children with romantic ethnic-nationalism in radical Yeshivas, trains them to use guns form a young age, and lets them run wild in the West Bank vandalising Palestinian property, spitting at people, ripping off women’s hijabs and graffitiing “death to Arabs” or even “gas the Arabs” all over the place. If your country doesn’t develop some self-awareness and make some changes really soon, people are going to stop sending bombs and cheques, and you’ll be getting sanctions and travel bans instead.
