I always enjoy your videos. thankful for all your hard work making them! you helped me change how I think of beeing a "homemaker" before I was kind of embarrassed about the fact that I "just" was a stay at home mum. Thank you so much for your lovely, positive, peaceful home making video. I work full time and was always “too busy” to spend time, energy and mind space on home keeping. I now watch your videos over and over again as I serenely putter around my own home, making it clean, loved and cared for.
Homemaking is a job, and like any job it becomes repetitive. Remember the 1984 Dunkin Donuts commercial “Time to make the donuts”? Some days it’s a “woohoo” day, other days it’s a huge sigh day and other days it’s a very tired type of day, but the job has to get done. One’s attitude about the job makes a big difference in both mood and tasks completed. I have been both a SAHM and a outside the home career mom- I will say that the SAHM job was “easier” because I could get everything done before dinner including running kids around, the outside the home career homemaker was different and I feel more tiring, but again, attitude and ROUTINE made both jobs go a bit faster. I love not just being a homemaker (gonna be a full time one next year when I retire at 62 from my hospital job of 27 years) but creating our house to be OUR HOME including changing things in the house or the seasonal baking and cooking whose smells just say welcome home when you come inside. My grandchildren look forward to my retirement because I can attend more school functions and help them refine their cooking and baking skills and I do look forward to that. I take great joy in the mundane tasks of dusting, mopping and laundry because it’s our home, we have a roof over our heads and food in the cupboards and so much love for each other and our family because it is what we created together, even when there were very rough times financially where my husband and I lost weight because the kids had full tummies, we were happy, maybe stressed a lot but still happy and joyful. Ladies (some guys here) learn to take joy in your home and homemaking right where you are at and be content and have gratitude for where you are and what you have in the here and now, because life changes occur and sometime in a snap of the finger. Choose joy and love!
We have Coyotes here in Texas, too. I can really appreciate all of the work you do to keep your house immaculate. You take such good care of your family and home ❤
Ideas that I received from Noemi. Ironing board for folding clothes, no plastic in the shower curtain, zwilling bags to store food, her recipes for home cleaning and I don’t go out to eat anymore. Scandish home, Naomi, I order Elderberry tea that makes a gallon. I steep the bag then I have little round silicone ice tray. I add honey to the tea then pour into the molds freeze them and everyone grabs one in the morning before they leave the house. I have been doing this for 3 years and no one gets sick. You show so many helpful ways of different storage ideas, I'm hoping to adapt a few myself. You are an amazing cook, you might not think so, but you are. You create your family some wonderful meals, and I like how you keep it healthy, well 90% of the time 😊. I have a question, I hope you will answer, when you fetch in all the branches and twigs etc. from the garden, what do you do about the critters on these item???
