Layzie is the true leader of Bone Thugs and always will be. He's the reason that group stuck together for so long because he always knew when to drop his ego down for his group. He's loyal to a fault.
Nah I give that to krazyie bone but I feel you 💯
@@spanclane4509 Krayzie is the musical leader or center of the group.
@@lioicxc6827 I second that. Layzie is definitely the glue.
Bone is literally Layzie’s baby. He made the group n is the spokesperson. They all said it in interviews. But everybody has a role. Lay super humble tho
@@spanclane4509 Same here!
No group has ever done the things they’ve done. Longevity. Hit after hit. Solo albums. Losing members. Getting those members back. The legacy of BTNH is once in a lifetime. Always love and have had love. ❤
Layzie is the backbone of Bone Thugs
Hands down!
ACCURATE
Id say it depends on how you look at it…I wont disagree Layzie has beem the glue thats kept everybody together, but I feel Krayzie is the one that kept the brand alive and made sure that Bone (as a group) always got some shine. Back in 06-07 Krayzie went on a good solo run making songs like Untouchables (on a Pac album), Spit yo Game (on a Biggie record) which was a hit, then I Dont Give A F*** with Lil Jon which was a pretty big hit and then he won a grammy for Ridin Dirty! All throughout this if you notice the songs Untouchable and Spit Yo Game are listed as featuring Bone Thugs (not just Krayzie…pretty sure that was intentional. Also Layzie and Wish (who was pretty much the rest of the group at the time) was in the videos for Spit Yo Game and Ridin Dirty. All of the hype led to them getting a record deal on Interscope to put out Strength and Loyalty. I think Krayzie could’ve done a solo with them but chose to bring his boys…that was huge for Bone in a time where they werent doing to well
@@andy1181-l3m But if you've ever been to a Bone Thugs n Harmony concert Lazy is always the one engaging with the audience. Staying to shake hands. And really always immersing himself in the brand. Krazy honestly is always of on solo business ventures.
Always have been
This is the best Layzie interview I’ve ever seen
I gree.
Facts!
Factz
Very introspective
Court know what he doing!!!
Krayzie had the dopest verses.
Layzie had the hardest verses.
Wish had the catchy verses.
Bizzy had the craziest verses.
Always thought Flesh was mix of Krayzie & Layzie sonically & style wise.
Facts
very well said....
Spot on
That's Ill!
Layzie looks good for his age. Bone Thugs deserve more credit for what they brought to the music game.
They all do
This interview in it’s entirety is one of the deepest interviews I’ve ever seen with Lay. Kudos to you guys on going beyond surface stuff that fans been knowing for 30 years
Man I need more of these. Im a huge Bone fan and no one has thought to ask questions like this with them yet. These are the answers we've been looking for.
Itd be great to get the perspective of other members but Kray and Wish are more reserved. Bizzy and Flesh may speak on it though.
Bizzy and Flesh have been on the show tap in with their episodes. 💯
I bought both those Albums, Layzie and Bizzy at midnight when they dropped! That was an era, me and boy smoking blunts banging those until like 3am. They both super classics.
These are the best bone thugs interviews I've ever heard. The interviewer is a fan, knows his shit and asks the real questions. Not the same basic shit you hear in so many other of their interviews. Great stuff
Court know what he doing!
Like asking how it was working with biggie, and pac. Most asked question 🤦♂️
@@ZaiLeNZeRfr fr 😂
@@ZaiLeNZeRlol shiiit how could you not ask that question though? Even if it’s redundant.
As a big Bone Thugs fan I remember Thug By Nature and The Gift dropping on the same day and I loved it! I get where Layzie’s coming from but if you were a real Bone fan you were coping both albums and were happy to have 2 releases to bump!! Not only that but Krayzie Bone’s second album dropped a few months later…what a great year for Bone fans!!
Remember that as well, I bought both
Yea I remember going to the record store in the rain to get both of them, which I still have today.
I remember that year 2001
Layzie Bone dropped "Thug by Nature"
Bizzy Bone dropped " The Gift"
Krayzie Bone dropped" Thug on the Line"
💯but for me Krays albums were always the best. Thug Mentality is a Banger. Every song on that 2 disc. 🔥
As a true Bone fan, I copped Bizzy's "The Gift" & Layzie's "Thug By Nature" at the same time. Enjoyed both.
The Gift was a beast! Much respect to Lay never knew how he truly felt about his album falling back due to Bizzy Bones dropping the same day.
If I’m not mistaken Krayzie also dropped a album that day or very close to it
@@uravgsnkrsguyYep I remembered that shit. Kray dropped Thug On The Line the same exact day. Hell I bought all 3 albums.
@@LeathafaceTV I thought I was right because yea I remember buying all 3 and I remember it was talked about in magazine how 3 members of bone is dropping on the same day
@@LeathafaceTV Incorrect. The Gift and Thug By Nature dropped March 20. Thug On Da Line didn't drop till August 28. All three great projects.
@@thedreadedverse ^^^ THIS is correct
Man i respect anybody who invites bone thugs on a platform where they can share there stories, people have no idea that these are LIVING legends. Respect for having them on,even if it's one member
I really enjoy your interviews with Bone! U never ask the typical usual questions that we all know the answers too lmfao! Appreciate you!
Facts!
I appreciate that thanks for the positive feedback. 💯🙏🏾
I agree. Well done Court Dog, you're getting facts outta the fellas that us Bone fans never heard before.
Krayzie the goat. Most talented
Thug Mentality Album was fire
You making him say things that he REALLY haven't REALLY said. ( that I know off )
😮 Salute!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
You can feel the difference between a regular mainstream host and a host who is an artist like the guest is.
Layzie Bone my favorite one , because he always seemed like the leader and more vocal one. He remind me of us a laid back southern dudes
He got family in Dallas Texas,he spent a lotta time out here as a youngsta.
FYI finally great Bone/members interview !
Good work bro 💪🏼
Tap in with Flesh-N-Bone and Bizzy Bones interview as well. Thanks for tapping in. 💯🙏🏾
@@HoldinCourtPodcast when those coming ?
@@DaChicagoWay773They already up on his channel.
Bone was the best rap group in the 90’s. Hands down
Ever
Probably
Court is great interviewer the vibe is always there with the right questions and timin, this man deserves all the success!
49 years old and didn’t age a bit is motivation. This is a perfect example of health is wealth and stress less 💪🏾💪🏾
If its Bone im going to always check it out 🔥🔥
You gotta get Krayzie on Big Court💯
Schedules have been conflicting but we are working on it. 💯
That would be amazing I look forward to that interview 🫡
Yeah asking him if the rest of the chasing the devil albums are ever coming out😂🤦♂️
I remember that in 01...I thought it was just fans getting 2 bone thugs solos
Me too
Really tho ...I thought it was just BONE THUGS doing numbers.....wavy 〰️ frfr
That would of been good idea to drop all solos same day
Dude!! When Layzie said, "Man I'm tired of fighting I'm 49 I'll be 49 I'm good." I feel #TheLivingLegend on that!! 💯🤙
Now this is an interview, let's get in the thick of the groups differences, no more bus tickets to LA,Easy E stories, walk to Tone Loc house,we Hurd all that, this is it right here
The fact that Wish Bone went with Krayzie to Thug Line tells you everything. Wish is Layzie's cousin.
Interesting perspective. 🤔🤔
That tells me he's his own man he doesn't go along just because he was his family
I think Krayzie feels he ows Wish for shooting him... Layzie couldn't carry Wish the way Krayzie could... I think Wish knew that too.
Shit what did Wish ever come out with??
Yep.
Really good interview. I like how he was very respectful and professional with the questions.
The Thug By Nature album is still 🔥😎
Everything Green⛽️🔥💨💯
Dawg these gotta be the best bone interviews ever no bs. .
Dropping “Thug By Nature” under L-Burna instead of Layzie Bone hurt sales also. I know me and my people were confused af when it came out.
Contractual Obligations are TRIPPY
Keep these interviews coming bro💯👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Bizzy didn't hinder his sales as much as releasing a album under the "L-Burna" name and the label it was under.
Yeah that's just dumb marketing 101
Right, the name change was confusing.
💯💯💯
Facts. That was a bad move branding and marketing wise
I agree the name change was dumb, but it was released under Ruthless/Mo Thug/Relativity Records just like Heavenz Movie and Thug Mentality
Amazing interview!!! One of the best. It's not the same old topic everybody wants to get into.
Best interviews I've seen bone do are on this podcast. It's credit too court dogg
Appreciate the support and positive feedback! 💪🏾🙏🏾💯
That’s crazy because as a fan you never ever noticed any friction between Krayzie and Layzie, but you could definitely see it and feel it between Krayzie/Wish vs Bizzy.
Lol of course 🤭
Layzie was always pushing for group unity even when other members were pushing to do different things , even though I owned all the solo projects , they always created the best songs when they came together as a group ! It was like their differences went out the window and their creativity came together into the best of their music . I’ve listened to countless interviews from all the members and what I’m hearing in this one is def some stuff layzie never got off his chest ! So much respect for putting family and loyalty above the money . That’s what I always felt was the most important thing going forward ! Layzie bone and bone thug 4 ever ! 💯
Agreed! As I mentioned in a comment above, communication is key, even if you do step off to do a solo gig, and that's what Lay wanted all along, everyone on the same page with open communication.
This explains why flesh went off on krayzie bone when they had beef back in the day. Layzie probably told flesh how he felt what krayzie was doing and as big bro, flesh took it upon himself to call krayzie out.
This interview was the most anticipated
Let's be real when Bone was on you anticipated Layzie's verse
I thought it was just me
Love his voice and energy
I'll never forget when he walked past me in Motor City Sound Board, Lay is the main one I want to actually meet even though Krayzie is my all time favorite
He was my fav til Bizzy dropped that first solo album and then it started to shift
So krazy is not yall favorite Bone member???
Lay should have never put Bizzy before his long time best friend Krayzie, then that ish would have never happened like that ( you can not cross a loyal air sign) Kray probably had enough and SNAPPED (Gemini)but im glad lay admitted he was getting drunk n wildin out, Kray took control and started TL...it was already written everybody was going to do their Solo ish... Im glad they finally communicated and worked that ish out... Family 1st✊️
"L-Burna"!! Bone Thugs In Harmonnnnnyyy!! OMG I'm loving these clips!!!
That's Kool that you reply to our messages! Keep it up Sir 💪👍
@mr.stephens2932 Thanks for tappin in! 💯
Downloading tubi because of this interview! Thanks Eternal
Court I like how you just let ppl talk
Good job on the interview
_Layzie Bone, often perceived as the de facto leader of the group, played a crucial role in the cohesion and brotherhood of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. His rap style is straightforward yet impactful, characterized by a clear and rhythmic delivery that often carries the group’s thematic messages of struggle, survival, and brotherhood. Layzie’s ability to unify the group and lead the collaborations is evident in tracks like “Thuggish Ruggish Bone” and “Foe tha Love of $,” where he sets the tone and pace, reinforcing the group’s collective ethos._
_Despite individual successes, the collective impact of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony on hip-hop is profound. Their innovation in rap flow and harmony, coupled with the individual talents of each member, has left an indelible mark on the genre. While the group’s dynamic changes when members pursue solo projects, it is their united efforts that have defined their legacy. Krayzie Bone’s musical production, Layzie Bone’s leadership, Bizzy Bone’s angelic harmonies, Wish Bone’s consistent delivery, and Flesh-N-Bone’s intense narratives have collectively crafted a pioneering sound that continues to influence artists and resonate with fans around the world._
My 2favorite ones from this group🥰 Layzie and Krayzie
🔥🔥🔥🔥
LAYZIE is probly the humblest guy in the world! He doesn't let his ego get on the way of his relationship with each member of bone. This deep
Naw, bullshit, he's the one that gets in his feelings the most.
@@gersongarcia5503Yeah, if you follow BTNH, you'd know that Layzie is a live wire at times - even making Bizzy seem calm. Wish is probably the most humble in the group tbh. Lazie is quick to fight, curse, and challenge other members - stating that he created BTNH, named some of the members, etc. But that's how it can be in the mid-west.
Will there be a full episide release?
Graveyard Shift Would've Saved Mo Thugs🎙Much Luv 2 101™️Souljah Boy's Album Should've Been Released💯HelluvaInterview®️

This interview was great! Salute
Thank u dear for doing the BTS for this episode! Great job. 💯🙏🏾💪🏾
BIZZ & KRAY are my favorites out of the group. But LAY is most definitely the one I RESPECT the most out of all of them.
This is a dope ass interview
Always wanted to know about Lburna album. Never really heard lay talk about it.
Let's go!
Mama Bone had to get on they ass 😂😂
Love this. Lay is the coolest dude ever and the heart of Bone. True legend and his stories and interviews are always the best! Where does the full version of this drop?
Krayzie Is The TRUTH.... Mo Thugs Was Done After Mo Thugs 2... & That 💩 Should've Been Buried... But Mo Thugs 3 Was Ok... It Had A Few Jams... Did He Really Wanna Went Hard... Lay Solo Song Was Good... Flesh Solo Song Was Good... Everything Else To My Recollection Was 🗑 🚮... Mo Thugs 4 Ummm All I Can Type Is 🤦... ThugLine Records Was Trash Too Even The Life Is 🗑... I Just Dont Know How Kray Is That TALENTED But Can't Pick Talented Artist To Match... Kray Like The Jordan Of Music... Str8 GARBAGE At Finding Talent... Bone Wasted Their Talent Like I Wasted Mine... But Bone Actually Made It Unlike Me... PS If Lay Wanted "It Must Be" To Be Pushed Over "It's All Good" Kray Was 100% Right... U Had To Be Drunk Or Hatin To Not See Its All Good Was The Choice 🤦
Big Court doing his thing
I bought both. I was consuming everything they were putting out. It was like Christmas to me, having two brand new bone albums in one day.
Good job fam.. dope interview
Great interview
I feel like Kray has tunnel vision when it comes to music. You can tell that he takes it very seriously, so it’s understandable that he wanted to eliminate any distractions. I’m just glad that things are amicable between them.
4:55 Hes 100% right 😆 🤣 😂 😹 Bizzy dropped "The Gift" the SAME day as "Thug by Nature" on March 20, 2001.... crazy
This one of the best podcasts.... interviewer a great.
Thank u I appreciate the positive feedback. 🙏🏾💯
That's probably why they started recording Resurrection without Krayzie. Lay n B were pissed off at him.
Krayzie was also on the TM album tour at the time, but yeah it all makes sense. Remember Bizzy Bone on Mind on our money goes who’s the one on solo shit? & who want me the hell out 😂
I have a feeling the tension is more than just drinking. I think it was over women..Felicia especially.
If Layzie writes a book, I’m definitely reading it
i am to layzie to read it
Man I saw layzie when my dad took me to Cleveland to live back in 96 he was on a low rider bike with gold spokes.
Layzie aka L-Burner is the heart and soul! He was the lead off man like Ricky Henderson he set the table on every track and album for BONE respect love and appreciate this man
Aka #1 assassin
I would have absolutely LOVED a Mighty MO Thug video
Sure but All Good was clearly the better choice as a single. But i like Mighty Mo Thug and would’ve been cool with a video too
I’m sooo excited for that final double disc Bone album I hope they do it right and really put some time into it and get DJ UNEEK back plus the Bone Movie should be Insane!!!
Ima always be a bone and 3-6 mafia fan.. KRAYZIE BONE IS THE MAN!!
Quick fix 3 is dope AF!!
Layzie. L burna , Steve howse much love homie I been a major fan since I was 13 now 38. And much respect. Now turn on everything green by layzie and vibe that shiiii
Been a Bone Thugs fan since elementary/middle school since Faces of Death. These niggas damn near raised me in my formative years. I was able to meet Kray snd Wish after a small concert in VA in 2013/14 and I cant lie, a nigga was fanned out😂😂
Lay one of the coolest people met him after concert he was beat boxing and I freestyle for him he was feeling it that was dope for me as a bone fan much love layzie you the goat 🐐
Uni5: A worlds enemy is beautiful project I’m glad layzie keeping it real to keep bone together
BEST album EVER dropped!!!

Soulja Boy aka King Jamma back doing his thing
Soulja Boy was dope! 🔥💯
Layzie emerged the leader and we saw it manifest of versuz live on the stage for anybody that didnt know
This Explains Mo Thugs 3.. the compilation without Krayzie, prime example that Big Court knows music💪🏾 perfect questions & answers
I remember when bizzy and lazies album dropped and i went to the record store in the mall and bought both it was a win win 2 albums to listen to
Bro these are fantastic questions with wonderful responses. I have so many questions that involve around Mo Thugs the artists and Mo Thugs the record label. Gosh damn we almost had a Souljah Boy music video back then, that brother is an absolute talent of an artist. I know you already had Bizzy Bone on but it’s said that he was also part owner of Mo Thugs Records even though he made it clear he didn’t have any involvement with it. He did have the Mo Thugs records label stamped all over his Heavenz movie album which I’ve always been curious about. I mean did that make him a Mo Thugs artist.
Also I’ve been so confused about Big Caz claiming to own Mo Thugs records now. That he bought it for a million dollars. I haven’t been able to find Layzie Bone speaking on that but also he has no obligation to have to as well.
Homeboy has not aged one damn year. And I was fucking with their music since '94 when I was 13.
I can't believe that Bone Thugs-N-Harmony been out for 30 years that's still unbelievable to me and I've been listening to Bone since they first came out and I'm still listening to them 30 years later that's amazing that they still out doing anything by they self and as a group the best rap group ever came out of Cleveland
I love these dudes man. Krayzie had no say in the it's all good video. He didn't do nothing wrong with that. Krayzie has been active the hole time with the 🖊 albums mixtapes he just goes and goes got chasing the devil 2 coming out ghetto cowboy album coming out
And more it's a Krayzie work ethic.
Mad respect to him.
Layzie bone l-burner was 🔥 🔥
Nothing but bangers all the different moods. Bone are such an underrated group it's sickening just thinking about it, so I won't 😂
Nothing but love bone thugs
When n where do we get the full interview bro ?!!
Next week soulja! 💯
God bless 30 years of bone thugs. Just let that sit in for a moment
Any body that knows about bone knows Layzie is always the one that shows up every song every album 💯
awww F*** NO! they were supposed to do Mighty Mo Thug video??? man, y'all F****ED THAT UP!! that MF would've put MO THUG ON ANOTHER LEVEL!
Madd respect to this man. I guess it’s easy for some people to be leaders and have a big ego but he stayed humble. Thats how you lead. With humility. Pride always comes before the fall. There’s a lot of people out there who let shit go to their head and end up sabotaging they click but the real ones keep they feet planted. Friendship and brotherhood is more important than being “the man”.
wow 49 layzie looks like he never ages
This what we been waiting to know
When are you going to do an interview with bizzy
Much love Layzie I'll never forget the concert in Sydney best time of my life literally a dream come true!
Layzie has that leader mentality BTNH are living legends
Btnh for life. Always a bone fan.
Sometimes things in life I learned this the hard way sometimes things in life going to test your friendship and if they are true friend they always going to be with you and around you no matter what and that for you no matter what cuz true friendship is something money can never buy
