5:25 I would strongly disagree with that. If anything, one of the main reasons so many people don’t like Mavuika is because of the design elements in her kit revolving around nightsoul. They limit her team options as an on-field dps, while arle is mostly self-sufficient.
It’s 80% of full burst at 100 stacks, that’s still a 100k dps team which is among the top teams. Her premium team is 120+k which is by far the best damage team.
The one thing we didn’t want from her is to be another on field pyro dps that power creeps the previous on field pyro dps and that’s exactly what she is….
I mean, typically archons embody the design of their element... anemo with cc/grouping, geo with shields, electro with energy recharge, dendro with em and reactions, and hydro with off field dmg and (sorta) healing/ hp related mechanics. Pyro has ALWAYS been known as basically nothing but the dps element. What did you expect?
A lot of people wanted Mavuika to be a 5* Bennett or a broken Pyro sub DPS but what we got is an on-field DPS that has the best numbers to date. Pretty happy with how Hoyo made her honestly

the best hutao i've seen was faster than the best arle i've seen in this abyss. hutao is still crazy, people go overboard with dropping characters for new ones. power creep in this game is insignificant. even diluc holds his own against mavuika if you build a team for him and play him well.
I went from Hu Tao to Arlecchino to Mavuika. Each release (imo) made the previous one obsolete. At least the Pyro Archon Xiangling hasn't been replaced yet lmao
The problem wa never her performarnce but her kit and design. She was supposed to be the archon of war from Natlan, teased for years as the nation of war, dragons inspired by atztec maya and the like. Mavuika has none of that, she doesn't look, fight or feel like a warrior gameplaywise and she should be the archetype of that, her design isn't even based on Natlan's theme, she's just a biker, and while we can debate on weather or not you think that fits genshin or not, it definetely wasn't supposed to be what the archon of War was all about.
Thank you. Also this. Expectations of natlan itself were not met. Music not met, story not really met, and even with all the other arguments about power level, restrictions, sub dps role, the reality is, she was just poorly designed. It killed it for me. As basic as the pyro traveller is, I have been having fun with him and he doesn't even HAVE a bike. Dragons, aztec culture....yeah Mavuika is, as you said, none of that.
For my expectation on Mauvika kit, she definitely did not live up to my expectations. Her being so reliant on Natlan character for peak damage kills it for me. Her role in the story was enjoyable, but nothing spectacular. I’m also a Lyney main (bias here) and he does amazing front loaded damage, but I agree he didn’t bring anything new for the table. But you do know Mauvika and Alrecchino are just as married to Bennett as Lyney is right?? Hu Tao is like the only exception compared to every other pyro dps. Having both Arlecchino and Lyney, Mauvika doesn’t look appealing to pull when I feel like I’m forced to get a 5 star Natlan support character just to have competitive damage with Alrecchino or Lyney. Mauvika is the strongest pyro dps, but the Natlan restrictions SUCK and Xilonen and Citlali were so recent that there’s very little time to save.
Thats exactly why they're rerunning Arlecchino in the 2nd half. I think it's irrational for people to complain about her being restrictive when they have great alternatives coming up who fill the exact same role. The genshin community puts Archons on a pedestal as some 'always meta' units, but that makes no sense to me.
@@Schmitt-Probably becuase Nahida and Furina were so meta defining. I started around 3.2 (so my experience had been archons to be these meta characters) but venti was meta defining before they intentionally made enemies they were not able to suck. There’s also people who only wanted only Mauvika but then needed to pull a 5 star Natlan character for her to function well (or C1). I’m sure the complaints will be a lot quieter once Xilonen and Citlali get reruns. But most people wanted Mauvika good out of the box at C0 without needing Natlan supports.
Without natlan characters she is pretty = to neuv and arle. How that makes her reliant is ???? or did some cc tell you that and you ran with it? With Natlan characters shes the first SSS Tier in the game.
@@shadowteon8308 Even Furina almost requires a group healer instead of a single target healer at c0 though. Don't forget Zhongli is about to be power crept by a c2 4*.... And Mav is just as good as arle out of the box without natlan characters. Natlan nightsoul batteries make her the archon.
@@logikx1325 Except, she isn't as versatile as them and that's a big deal. If you want Mavuika to hit as hard as you want, you *have* to run her with other Nightsoul units. (Specifically Xilonen and Citlali atp.) Without at least one of them, her damage takes a huge hit. There's also just no decent F2P option for her that even comes close to those two because the two Natlan 4-Stars haven't been crazy. (Kachina is there and not the best at frankly anything and Ouroron is built with Taser in mind.) It makes her pricey to build. Compare that to Neuvi or Arle who you can run with a bunch of 4-Stars while still maintaining a lot of your own damage and it's kinda hard to compare them. Mavuika might hit like a truck but she requires way more to do it.
We just got Furina and xilonen. With the fact that we have kazuha, xingqiu, Bennett, sucrose etc. supports aswell, getting another one is just going to break the game. Besides she is a good support sub dps aswell..

Ohh i just got to that part of the video. Yea, a better example could've been used, but I'm guessing it could also point to enemies like wenut in the spiral abyss? those types of enemies that burrow underground or fly high are always really annoying.

She puts pyro in a bit of a predicament. Do they never again release a top-tier pyro DPS to allow the pyro archon to maintain her crown? Or do they let her become the first archon to be truly power crept? Yeah, you could argue Venti was power crept by the likes of Kazuha and Wanderer, but that's only from a certain point of view--neither of them can match his crowd control, for example. By making Mavuika a DPS, they've potentially condemned her to be the first one to eventually be categorically, undeniably power crept. And you can't argue that they'd never do that, because they literally JUST did it, and to a fan favorite character no less. Mavuika herself pushed Arlecchino off the top of the totem pole just months after she released. She couldn't even make it to her first rerun before the power creep happened. It'll be interesting to see what they make of this dilemma they've created. I'll be quietly amused if Skirk dethrones Mavuika for top DPS before we even leave Natlan. She's probably not pyro, but still, I'll laugh and shake my head if it ends up happening. (That's just speculation on my part; they've hinted that Skirk is crazy powerful, so DPS makes sense for her.) Oh, and for the record, Mavuika is an easy pass for me. She doesn't fill any role that I don't already have covered three times over, the bike feels weird control-wise to me and looks kinda goofy in combat, and her power creep over Arlecchino isn't enough to generate any interest from a damage perspective. In fact, I prefer Arly's play style--no need to worry about fighting spirit, and she isn't shackled to any specific character's like Mavuika is. Venti is the only other archon I've skipped, and I don't plan to get either of them on any future reruns. I don't question why people find her appealing. But for me, she's just incredibly boring for an archon.
People always talk about Venti having the best crowd control but I can't imagine a scenario where Venti's amount of crowd control is sufficient and Sucrose's or Kazuha's isn't
arlechinno isnt actually pushed off of the totem poll, her dps is still similar to mavuikas and in the future she could even possibly out dps mavuika due to her having less restrictions

The main point of us expecting Mavuika would power creep Bennett and Xiangling is cause how sick people are from seeing 3 things, 1 Bennett in most of the strong teams, 2 Xiangling being in most teams, and 3 the most important NOT ANOTHER Pyro DPS its not what people want from a element that has too many already
She was almost the ideal pyro unit for me, but Hoyo made way too many questionable decisions that now I dislike her: A Xiangling replacement, finally! ...that mandates a Natlan unit instead of Bennett and mainly carries off raw damage rather than pyro app. A dual main & sub dps! ...that insanely powercreeps older dps rather than be a jack of all trades and has very underwhelming gameplay (CA donut spam). A pyro unit that offers buffs! ...that last basically 0 time at all. Looks amazing! ...until she pulls out her motorcycle.
This, I was ready to pull her as my only pyro dps but the biker thing was just not it. Specially after the cutscene where she fights Capitano I expected her combat to be something like cooler Dehya, not hitting people with a bike. After this I gave up with pyro, I'm just taking Xiangling to fight Celestia 💀
You did NOT mention she needs Citlali and Xilonen to fuel her nightsoul burst (other natlan characters don't really work with her well). She is not flexible (at C0) if she's tied to 2 other LIMITED five stars characters. You have like 1 slot spare if you want her to do DMG and it's probbably going to be taken by Bennett anyway because he's the best support for ATK scalers...
The challenge of making a pyro archon was is that pyro doesn’t have a unique niche the archon can become the pinnacle of. It’s just the DPS element. So they chose instead to focus less of her being the best pyro character and more her role as the leader of Natlan. Every other Natlan character so far has been designed specifically to interact with pyro, and put a new spin on its various reactions. While it is annoying that Mauvuika requires another Natlan character to make her kit work, it makes sense because all of them are made to enable her. She become the strongest pyro DPS not on her own like Arlechino or Hu Tou, but by being the champion of her people. Sure it’s not a typical archon design, but I do think more thought was put into Mauvuika than people are willing to give credit for.
That's a neat theme and all, but it leads to gameplay issues such as: Hogging already in-demand units, filling a niche that is already overfilled, requiring you to get recent units to make her function, aging poorly, getting powercrept herself (as dps do), and limiting team options. After Natlan ends, we're going to be getting very few Nightsoul units, and dps numbers are going to keep getting higher and higher. So the Archon that requires being paired with Nightsoul units and having high numbers... isn't going to be special. Imagine being a new player in 7.x and getting Mauvika in the yearly Archon run. How long will you have to wait to get Xilonen or Citlali before she's useable? It's like people pulling Xiao and not having Faruzan. That's just not healthy for the game.
@@elv6240 At C4, people assume everyone has high cons on certain 4 stars. I've been playing for 2 years and still only have C1 Xiangling who's a horrible character with really bad uptime. The only teams that Mavuika is worse than Xiangling in are teams that are irrelevant in the current meta which are Raiden and Childe national teams.
@@elv6240 most teams doesn't need xiangling's pyro application, and in general Mavuika is more consistent with only 2s CD and uses her elemental skill (no ER requirement) which also means you can focus on offensive stats on Mavuika instead of building ER. All Nathan characters prefer Mavuika As pyro applicator and a lot of characters also prefer Mavuika's buffing and higher DPS output more AS they don't need that much pyro application (Ganyu, Wriothesley, Burgeon teams, etc.) Although Xiangling is still the best teammate for Bennett, Raiden National and Childe International, or Neuvilette Vapes because they either require higher pyro application or just have more Synergy with Xiangling. Im honestly happy we got a Substitute for Xiangling. Sure its more optimal to play her AS a main DPS, but As a Sub DPS Mavuika actually works REALLY nicely
Honestly, I genuinely don't even mind that she's a Pyro DPS. My main issue is that she's very expensive to build a team around. Both Xilonen and Citlali are her best teammates since she needs Natlan characters for fighting spirit (at C0) and she doesn't work well with characters like XQ or Yelan due to most of her damage coming from her donuts. (Edit: You actually can use XQ/Yelan. You just have to weave in a Normal attack between the donuts and use dash cancels to not lose the Hydro app, my bad.) Basically, if you were saving for her and had to skip someone like Xilonen or Ororon, then you're either gonna have to pull for Citlali as well or Mavuika's cons.
She does work well with xq or yelan just not as well as furina/citlali/chevororon teams tho. I'd suggest checking out zajef's video recently where he covers how u can actually use yelan if you just CA into Dash and keep doing that
she can work with xingqiu and yelan as well but u have to do some charged attack cancels to get their procs in between. it's generally pretty good tho and worth it if it's the only thing you got

Either way though, it still kinda means that you need to have Xilonen/Citlali or her C1 to get enough Fighting spirit to burst at max damage which is kinda rough if you're a low spender.
you don't need both citlali and xilonen, just one of them. i use mine with kazuha instead of xilonen, works just as well. and my xilonen is c2r2 while my kazuha is just c0r1. pretty much same damage still. and to me, this is her highlight. she doesn't use the same supports as everyone else (the core furina, xilonen and yelan is highly sought after in my account), and performs about as well without them. that is by all measures what i wanted from her, and she delivered (well only when i got c2 citlali, before i was kinda disappointed)
@@StargazerKite the difference between 100 fs and 200 fs burst is ~26%. And between 150 and 200 is ~10%. You know, that's like saying "Arlecchino is so limiting because she can't get her 200% BoL constantly for max DMG". In other words: don't look at her maximum damage as base damage and how hard is it to achieve, look at what she already does. That's a huge mistake people make with Mavuika - assume she doesn't deal damage without 200 FS and Melt.
Guys trust me, Mavuika is a great support for Mualani by dealing massive amounts of damage on Mualani's behalf. So if you want to vertically invest your Mualani's team, all you gotta do is pull for Citlali and bench your Mualani 😂
The issue with her is that she’s too good of a dps to be used for supportive role. Using her in a chasca team felt like a dps loss swapping into chasca. I think they should’ve made her more focused on duel dps. Scale back her initial burst hit and motorcycle damage but have her give a big teamwide atk buff after casting her burst. That way she can still be used as a dps, sure, but her main role is to buff the team (which also rlly fits natlan’s idea of fighting together not alone).
She does buff when she bursts? Huh? I don't think I'm understanding or you haven't read her ascension passives. The main point I wanted to make though is that not everyone cares about the meta that much. I still main HuTao despite having arle c2r1 and mav c2r1. I'd use her as a support for Mualani before I'd main her as a dps regardless of how strong she is.
Making her the next Pyro DPS in the list of Pyro DPS’s will make it interesting in the future. Every future one will be compared to her for all eternity 😂 Time will tell if she’s either le strong, or le powercrept Is Pyro doomed? 😭
Pyro is just a bad element, 80% of the element is main DPS, they canibalize each other way too much and the element itself is too unilateral, it's just ATK and damage, just vape and now melt, no pyro unit aside chevrouse use overload, no one uses sprout and the only ones who want to use burning are actually dendro DPS, pyro is too unilateral, Hoyo saw their favorite element getting no attention and made every single new character depend on a pyro reaction just to hype people for the archon
The gap between the release of yoimiya (2.0😢) and Lyney (4.0) is 2 over 2 years Genshin can just.....not put out pyro dps's for 2 years..its just not that complicated....just how Xiao and wanderer or Wrio and Ayaka had a near 2 year gap .
Well they might release a new electro,dendro and cryo dps or sub dps. They can just make Mavuika the final pyro dps just like they did with Hutao almost 4 years without pyro main dps.

I definitely think C2 might have affected your opinion, as without c1 she's pretty depressing to use without other natlan units. at the very least, what people want out of archons is a kit that's ALWAYS helpful for a newer player to pick up, and mavuika day 1 of release is already terrible for new players! without xilo/citlali her performance drops off insanely. Similarly, her pyro app off field just isn't quite enough to properly function as an all arounder pyro subdps, and in kinich or mualani teams where pyro app is less important you just lose damage while you're using them instead of her. Even if she's technically functioning as the subdps there, it just doesn't feel good that youre having to CHOOSE to lose damage for your team if you want to actually play your maindps properly with mavuika. As someone who was massively excited for Mavuika thinking she'd really make nightsoul a cool mechanic, or maybe she'd be a great pyro applicator, or maybe she'd even enable other pyro characters, having her be yet another main dps that is just stronger than the other pyro main dpses in their best teams, but WAY less flexible as well, just feels like a pretty disappointing kit when compared to the other archons (even raiden). What's also important to people for archons is feeling like they provide something new, which Mavuika just doesn't really do whatsoever. On the other hand though, at least Citlali was a pleasant surprise in basically every respect, if only she shredded cryo resistance too!!

How would benny suck if he were another element? Most people don't c6 him so they don't get the Infusion and his buff is not element specific. You do one skill atrack to rnergy recharge but that tiny bit pyro damage doesn't matter

Yes if you paired him with Jean te wouldn't be needing Citlali right now for a couple of Pyro carries but you would eventually run into energy issues on a lot of Pyro carries or not being able to perform Pyro swirls or double swirls mechanics. If he was Hydro: He would just be terrible, what Hydro unit could possibly benefit from his buffs and Energy generation? Exactly, none. His Jean teams would be significantly weaker because that amount of Hydro application was already available throughout Xingqiu. If you had Hydro aura on you you would be tazed, frozen and supercondicted. Not something you would want on your best universal support. If he was Electro: Yes he would be able to battery Beidou but compared to Xiangling Beidou is a joke. It doesn't make a difference for Chevreuse teams except that he's now on a worse element. His Jean teams would be extremely weak because he would only be able to use transformative reactions and no multiplicative ones. Why it matters that her's Pyro: Jean swirls can melt, vape or overload enemies which is the best thing you could achieve out of any elemental combo. You would be able to get overloaded but who cares, that is only a pro for Bennett because he enables self Electro applying Electro characters to trigger overload in themselves to harm the enemies. Because he's Pyro he's literally the best unit for setting up Pyro swirls in VV vape teams because Kazuha and Jean can use him for self infusion. He fits on teams like Chasca teams almost perfectly because of his element, if he was any other element those teams would be inconsistent. Pyro allows you to use Cryo's most offensive reaction, being melt, which can get ruined by the presense of Electro and Hydro. But unlike Cryo, Pyro also has an insane synergy with those two elements. Lastly, his skill applies two elemental units, which makes him insane for shield breaking. If he was Cryo he would do nothing against Pyro shields, if he was Hydro he would be unable to break Cryo shields and would struggle with Electro shields. If he was Electro he would be able to only tickle all of these shields. Also Pyro is great for dealing with Dendro shields. And even tho we don't have a lot of them, when we do have them you can see that it indeed does matter. Oh yeah, I forgot, his C6: His C6 literally enables ANYONE to be a somewhat competent plunge Pyro DPS. If he was any other element this synergy with Xianyun would be non existent. There's a reason there are barely any showcases of other elemental infused characters as plunge DPS's
Small tip for Mavuika in Natlan in the air , when you switch to her using the Natlan switch gimmick, she starts flying and you can press E again to keep on flying a 2nd time.
She was almost exactly what i expected. I predicted her kit a while ago in someone's speculation video before natlan launched. Then someone told me this will age like milk in 6 months.
I know how it feels, I predicted Nahida was going to be Theresa's counterpart (from HI3), no one believed me, 2 months later we got the first Sumeru leaks and no one wanted to believe the archon was a "white loli", there was also a case back in 1.6 that I said Hilichurls were Kaehri'en to someone, I liked to see theories back then and knew about it since 1.0, the person I told it called me stupid and crazy, guess what? 2.7 confirmed it

5:24 Mavuika deals 30% more dps than Arlecchino comparing best team vs best team, the gap between Hu Tao and Arlecchino is 6% in terms of dps. So yeah. You might not like Hu Tao’s gameplay, but Arlecchino didn’t make her obsolete.
Neither mavuika is 30% more dps than arlecchino nor the gap between ht and arle is "just" 6%. I wouldn't say arle made ht obsolete either, but don't fool yourself, arle has a lot of advantages over ht that go unnoticed in a mere dps comparison (such as frontload, aoe, teams and teammates restrictions, ability to switch). The difference between ht and arle is much bigger than that of mavuika and arle, and not even because this last one is much smaller than you mentioned, but because how big it is between arle and ht.
Problem with Mavuika is application. Her pyro overtakes lots of cryo / hydro aura, which makes it extremely difficult to trigger reaction after her initial burst. I managed to get 600k+ hit on the primo and then all just no reaction damage and couldn't get a 3 star clear granted she is still not fully ascended. You need to be mindful about her donuts. Arlecchino is brain dead in that regard.
@@Merquitarika Arlecchino’s “advantages” over Hu Tao do not translate that much in practice in most situations. Like if you’re someone who doesn’t know how to play Hu Tao at all, yeah you’re going to say Arlecchino is so much better. But if you try to learn Hu Tao rotations which they’re not hard to learn, The gap is not big at all. If you say I don’t want to learn anything about rotations and just want to press one button and everything dies, that’s a you problem not a problem from the character. Also Hu Tao doesn’t have teammates restrictions. She is very flexible, sure not as flexible as Arle, but the only thing she needs is hydro application and there are 3 characters that can provide it to her. She has single hydro teams, double hydro teams, Furina teams. Arlecchino has a restriction which she’s so tied to Bennett and the problem is worse for her because there are no Bennett replacements.
Wouldn't make sense for the God of War who represents Pyro aka the DPS element to be a Support Her subdps is insane though, either with Golden Troupe or Hero set, she does really high damage off field
There’s actually something wrong in your head if you believe that pyro isn’t the dps element and the pyro archon - the literal God of War wouldn’t one of, if not the best character in the game
She can still work as a sub-dps considering her Nightsoul state doesn't end when switched out and she keeps raining meteors, that do pretty good damage. I'm currently running her over Xiangling, because she's more steady and i don't have to wait for Xianglings burst every time. hat being said, my team is scuffed anyways. :D (Tartaglia (Main dps), Mavuika (Sub dps), Xilonen (Support/healing), Bennet (Support)) Bennet is still the MVP here.
- Every archon is the pinnacle of what their element represents - Pyro is the element of Damage - Mavuika is the Goddess of WAR I don't understand how everyone was so surprised that she ended up being a DPS, for me it was obvious for a long time that she would be a hybrid of Main and Sub-DPS with a hint of buffer on top, so I would say my expectations were met
My only gripe with the motorcycle is the fact that the strongest warrior of Natlan (possibly in the entirety of Teyvat) is barely visible during fights and that we can't see her amazing attack animations (including her awesome non-motorcycle charged attack)
What I love about Mavuika is that she makes the double on field DPS mechanic viable in some teams like Chasca. Not only that it's insanely strong, but it's also tons of fun and kind of fresh.
I completely changed my mind about how well she can support when I put her on my Ganyu team with the cinder city artifact set and my Ganyu's melt damage skyrocketed. The rotations are still super easy and the buffs are consistently up. I'm super happy with this.

I mostly agree with "the bad" section. The main point for this disagreement is Mavuika's reliant on other natlan characters using their nightsoul points. I think it's very fitting that the main phrase in natlan is "no one fights alone", her plan relied on forming a team from the 6 tribes, and personally, the stand with Mavuika song that came out. I think it shows how natlan is united and works together, but that's me
People always talk about how something doesn't meet their expectations, but no one talks about the possibility of their expectations being unreasonable to begin with. To me, it feels like there has been this manufactured expectation of what an archon should be, and it feels like a disservice to their characterization, background, and story. The idea of 'Archon, therefore support' is not something I personally agree with, and I think there needs to be a change in mindset of how people set their expectations on something. I like Mavuika's kit and I think it fits her role in the story, and as an archon to a T. She is a human and a warrior first and foremost, preferring a firsthand approach to dealing with threats, and so it only makes sense that her role as a DPS is primary, with her supportive abilities only being secondary. Of course, these are just my own thoughts, and I know 100% that people will disagree with me, and that's okay. Overall, I just feel like there needs to be a second look at what players expect out of an archon before they set their expectations up for disappointment.
I agree with you hundred percent. The obsession over getting a character and having them be S-tier simply because they're an archon doesn't make sense to me. I pull characters because they fill a gap in my arsenal, Mauvika happened to be my first Meta pyro dps, and I had her supporting units so I pulled for her and was pleased with the result. If I didn't have xilonen/citlali, I would've pulled for Arlecchino/Hu Tao, (which they intentionally put in the next patch) not just whine about Mauvika being restrictive.
I think the problem is not mavuika but the core gameplay of genshin Bc 95% of characters in the Game follows the same rules Burst then skill swap To next support and repeat until You get to your dps do dmg for like 5-9 seconds and then repeat Maybe the gameplay is different but they all follow this rule Thats why i don't really like supports in genshin Bc You use them for like 2 secs proc the buffs and then swap It's the fault of the burst cooldowns that demands the rotations to be faster to optimize your buffs and dmg
I agree with you. I don't know when it was set in stone for some people that Archons have to be supports. Raiden shoulda ended this trope 3 years ago. Hoyo themselves has never ever said that all Archons were gonna be supports. And honestly, Mavuika, an archon being full on DPS was so refreshing to see for me to the point that she is the only Archon I have pulled since Zhongli in 2021. If Mavuika was a dedicated support, I probably wouldnt have pulled for her.

Too much citlali on the screen. Not watching, sorry. But yeah, idk what I was hoping for the pyro archon, but she did disappoint me. She looks goofy with that bike as well. I kinda wanted to try and get all the archons, but after her release I think I'll break that. I also thought about doing the same for all pyro characters, but the same thing happened. I guess me hoping that she would be THE pyro character kinda broke it for me, because, well, yeah, she's good, but she's not an all rounder jack of all trades kind of pyro character, which is pretty much what the other archons are. At least from my point of view, I see all archons as being the best characters from that element. Maybe not damage wise, but at least a character that exceeds at every aspect of that specific element. Mavuika is a great dps, but we already have a lot of those and every Natlan character has been pretty much the same. My Neuvillette C1R1 and my Hu Tao C1R0 can already brute force about most of the abysses so far, so I really am just pulling characters out of how much I like them now. sorry for the yap lmao. I do hope everyone that got her is happy now. From what I've seen so far, I am the odd one out.

The irony of Arlecchino also getting a huge buff right before her first rerun with Citlali melt, which is her best archetype now. She's both stronger than ever AND powercrept at the same time. I still enjoy her unga bunga playstyle and variety of teams much more than Mavuika's nukes tho so I'll keep maining her and might go for C2. Still, it does sting that for once I was loving a meta pyro DPS and she stayed on the pedestal for 5 minutes. I pulled C0R0 Mavuika on both of my accounts. She's on-field DPS on my secondary and off-field on my main. I'm okay with f2p-level dmg and not doing mavuillion dmg outside of showcase bosses with food. Personally she's not my favorite exploration Natlan character because that's Chasca (and ngl, I did pull her as a Chasca/Kinich/AFK sub-DPS on main and idc if it's "a waste" of a perfectly good Mavuika, I like the challenge of clearing content with my A/B-tier faves), but as part of a tag team it's really fun. Since I don't play international I can say Xiangling goodbye and that's huge. I personally don't mind the For Natlan(tm) shackles because I pulled Xilonen, but I find excessive that her best team hoards all the nation's top supports + Benny (and if you play vape, she's gonna hoard Furina...) Playing her optimally can fuck up with a lot of second teams on abyss. Again, this also happens with a lot of teams that hoard a combination of Benny/Furi/Xilo/Kazu (Neuvi and Chasca and Navia especially istg). But with Mavuika and her potential of mavuillions, it puts you in a lot of pressure to pull for Xilonen and/or Citlali at least. I understand why it can be bad for f2ps or have people scared for her flexibility and meta state in future regions.
also, id like to add that arlechinno could still become a better pyro dps than mavuika in the future due to how mavuika needs at least 1 natlan character and needs to use charge attacks, whilst arlechinno is less restricted. mavuika makes up for it by being a good sub dps on top of a dps though if you dont have xilonen and/or citlali though, arlechinno will be a better dps than mavuika, but remember that mavuika is a sub dps too
My testing shows about a 2 second per run gain on average with no natlan characters vs arle. With just kachina she clears faster by 5-10 seconds depending on which side of the abyss we are talking about this cycle. Those are practical tests and I'm not an arle or mav main so take that for what it is....but they are at least very close with 0 natlan characters.
I just find her so unappealing, I'm already tired of the millions of pyro DPSes before her and I'm sick of the bennet circle... Maybe I just really wanted a non Bennet circle Bennet x Xiangling support 😭
At what part is mavuika flexible? my guy you literally need a natlan char just to use her burst unless you want to na to death or get her c1 and still need 1 natlan char or if not c1 then you need 2 natlan char to fully maximize her ult
A bit off topic: Just like most, I expected Natlan to be more of an ancient Greece setting with countless war and fire, but I honestly appreciated the more South American touch in the new region, plus all the animals reminds me a bit of Australia. I also expected the Pyro Archon to be a man just to give us a break from the majority of female characters as well as there being only 2 males out of the 7 Archons, however Mavuika more than proved herself not just as a powerful and entertaining character, but one with enough depth to take her seriously and enjoy her story. Even though Natlan wasn't what I expected, I think it turned out better than I wanted, and taking a few darker tones here and there was refreshing and creative, and I hope Genshin continues to evolve like that down the line, because after 4 years of stagnation, it's nice to take a step forward, and here's hoping the next following steps will become giant leaps.
People like to think that Archon doesn't really get oowercrept but has likely forgot that almost all the archon we've got is meta at best for 2 major patch in the game, Venti is basically never spoken of much around Sumeru release, most team doesn't work well with him, Zhongli also the same fate, only used by players that can't dodge, his best team, Hutao double hydro isn't that meta by the end of Sumeru, Raiden isn't used much because most characters that uses her ults as their main damage isn't coming out as often anymore, I mean, look at what modern characters uses Fate as their BiS sets nowadays, barely any. Now most characters have majority of their damage in their normals and skills, Nahida is getting powercrept as Natlan come out, reaction damage especially with mavuika setting a new bar with her 400-1 mil damage ults. There's no competing with that burst damage with Dendro reactions. Now Furina, really just how there'd been no new aoe healer since natlan is a bad sign, even tho yes the last one we got kinda fits great with furina, I wonder what may come out in 5.x that may put a stop on Furina's dominance Mavuika being the best character to put in a team with another natlan characters will actually be the one thing that tide her over, she can actually be usable with a random characters from natlan that come out in 5.x or 6.x
I still think Neuvillette and Arlecchino are better pulls than Mavuika, taking into account their versatility and ease of use. Using Mavuika as an on field dps without Xilonen or Citlali must feel pretty bad, whereas Neuvi and Arle thrive even without a couple of their best partners.
As someone who have all of the Pyro DPS in the game other than Lyney (yes I got Klee for her cuteness on her 1st rerun, Hutao for her design, random Yoi on a 10 pull pity, Arle for her way better overworld use and mavuika cuz she's an archon) I don't really care about all these debate, I'm really just wondering why Hoyo intend to never powercreep Bennet despite how easy to powercreep his kit really is. I just don't like how he works 😂
Lived up to my expectations. Even if a new character hits harder than her, she has an off field play style and a teammate buff. Not to mention getting at least 100 fighting spirit isn’t hard at all. Being free from energy cost will help her longevity.
I feel like the only reason besides the obvious one, circle impact, people wanted Mavuika to be a support is it basically means she can't possibly be relevant in a year or 2 when she could have had real staying power like the other archons, besides maybe Venti who is very niche I agree with one of the thoughts you brought up though they should have given her like a ancient name system where the person on field is able to generate nightsoul even if they aren't from Natlan, or something that would enable the nightsoul artifacts on non Natlan characters similar to Furina. As things stand this region just feels very predatory and a little too insular when it could easily have not been.
11:14 Definetly agree with this point. After Furina enabled everyone to use MH, I was pretty sure that Mavuika would do something similar and enable the phlogiston bar for everyone outside of Natlan. That would've been a much more appealing kit design than what we ended up with tbh. I might've actually pulled for her despite being a rather boring Mary Sue if she allowed my Kinich to use his grappling hook twice outside of Natlan.
I can't stress how important that Last Point is. It's been a trend that Archons share the power of thier element or nation with the Party, from Day 1. Venti lets all member fly* (wind currents). Zhongli gives all member the comfort of on-fielding a Noelle or Itto. Raiden gives all members stronger, more consistant ults. Nahida gives all members (as they take the field) better EM and stronger reactions (Whilst enabling Dendro better than any other off-fielder, and better than some on-fielders). Furina gives all members access to Marechussee Hunter, Hydro enabling, off dmg and buffs (and healing). She's a piece of all other Hydro off-fielders and shares the benefits of Fontaine characts having HP Drain mechanics. Then it's Mavuika. Notice each Archon doing more, as each new region introduces a new mechanic. Then Natlan adds Nightsoul, Phogistion, Nightsoul transmission, and Nightsoul burst, and Mavuika doesn't enable Any of it for anyone else! She could have enable NS-Transmission out of Natlan, or any character to consume her nightsoul for Obsidion Codex. Nothing
The bests kind of Powercreep(pc) is equipment pc cause old character can use new sets to say relevent. That's why Furina enabling Marechausse is a big deal. If a broken set for shielded units came out (based on shield strength) it could make Zhongli teams relevent again (while buffing other shielders, like Furina aiding Healers). So many opportunites ignored.
God knows how she will age once we are way past Natlan months from now. One thing is for certain: we can always reliably expect her to get a rerun. I kinda envy new players though. They no longer have to suffer through the pain of building Xiangling just to have a decent off field pyro dps on their team.
Now that XL has been officially powercrept, let me make a prediction, Tsarita's E will be a cryo field that follows the active character and also gives 1.5k ATK buff and cryo infusion, then her Q will be a damage ability with big multiplier and puts a debuff on enemies kinda like Qiqi so when the active character hits the marked enemies, it heals the whole party.
Every Region has 2 5star Characters representing the Element of the Region, the Archon and someone related to the Archon. I truly hope that the second Fire 5star from Natlan, maybe someone like the Dragon Sovereign, could be the ultimate Bennett Unit, maybe someone with a Domain like Nahida's Ultimate but Bennett's Ult effect on it. Maybe my expectations are too high but it sure would be a great character to pull for and perhaps it could be similar to how Yelan isn't replacing Xingqiu but instead works well with him. I'm just not a meta player at all, so I don't really use Bennett that much, but I do hate it everytime I do, I don't want to be in such a small circle :C
I'd say with C1 she completely replaces Xiangling in 95% of teams. (With only a few very niche variations of some teams where Xiangling is better. Mainly Mualani with Furina). She doesn't even attempt to replace Bennett which was honestly the character we really need another option for. And her kit being soo focused on being yet another Pyro main dps that does 69 sextillion damage is really dissappointing. Especially with her reliance on Natlan characters to even function. Imagine if Raiden only gained Resolve stacks from Inazuma chracters. That would've been dogshit. Story wise Mavuika is easily the most bland uninteresting Archon in the game. She acts like a stereotypical God would. Everything she does is the right thing to do and she never fails at it. I believe at one point she literally says one of her hobbies is Succeeding. (I believe it's one of her Teapot voicelines. Feel free to correct me if the source is from elsewhere) It can't be this on the nose can it? This is all kinda ironic given that she's the only Archon that is an actual human but she shows no human flaws whatsoever. How are actual gods more human like than the actual fucking human that ascended to godhood?
I definitely think she'll at least hold up as an off-fielder, and I can't get her now since I'm saving for chronliced, but on her rerun I hope to get her for my Kinich so I can finally utilize his A4 Passive that increases his damage when someone else does a nightsoul burst. And she also boosts damage in her A4 too I believe. That at least i know she can hold up in.
I love mavuika our pyro mommy I mean archon. She actually making me go back and 100% all of genshins exploration. Starting with inazuma. Even outside natland. If you start certain actions before her gauge runs out. You can get like extra mileage out of it. And there is other tech too. Like bunny hopping. It's so fun.
If it is possible to 36star the abyss with only 4star characters on most abyss cycles, then why does power creep matter to so many people? Your Arlecchino will help you 36 star the abyss for the foreseeable future. It shouldn’t matter if Mavuika does it a few seconds faster in most cases. Of course Hoyo wants to create more powerful characters, but they also want to design them to be visually and mechanically unique from one another (Arlecchino- normal attacks, health management; Mavuika- charged attacks, fighting spirit). This allows the player to have more agency in how they want to play the game. I totally get being disappointed in how a character is designed, but the way people talk about it makes it seem like they don’t even like the game they are playing.
Actually when it comes to overworld exploration Mavuika has the ability to bunny hop by triple jumping as well as double wall climbing. She's actually the fastest and farthest range traversal unit and even beat xilonen buy a mile at c0
Things mavuika does: op dps, crazy sub dps, buffer, good pyro application. Things she can't do: attack buff ( Bennett), can't fit in every team in game ( because pryo is not the most versatile element in the first place)
I built an EM Raiden and I feel like Mavuika pairs well. Activate both of their bursts and against non-bosses the game just plays itself. That's before using Nahida's link. It makes me want to know what the laziest way to play Genshin is.
I'm actually glad she doesn't enable nightsoul for other non-Natlan characters. Her depending on other Natlan characters to efficiently charge her Burst actually fits the story and I'm glad it's like that so there's room for other Pyro DPS units In terms of exploration, I'm glad she didn't powercreep anyone and didn't have Kinich or Citlali/Ororun powers. And it feels like she only really mimics Mualani and Xilonen exploration.
@@Not_obligated2care ive described it already before, but mavuika could have been an on-fielder dps support hybrid. basically, after bursting shed provide a huge buff to the entire party, but this buff has a catch. it can only be utilized by the on-field unit, and drains quickly when you on-field a unit. mavuika also would keep her playstyle where she can also be used as a dps and sub dps. youd now be able to create teams full of on-fielders. for example, kokomi - yoimiya - wriothesley - mavuika. same fir natlan, you could have a team like mavuika - mualani - kinich - citlali. I believe this would shake up the meta A LOT more in a much more interesting way than mavuika going "oh btw i have a lame mechanic that literally does nothing besides forcing me to use natlan characters for my best teams"
At C0, she doesn't replace my C3 Xiangling in International lol. Citlali has more of an Archon kit in her own flexibility and in that she actually provides a variant in that specific team to me. Now, if Mavuika's skill could snapshot? Completely different story.
She's definitely powerful and fun to use, and I think the bike is sick, but the Nightsoul mechanic really limits her teams and makes her an expensive unit to pull. It's not a player-friendly situation at all. Personally, she'll be a boutique character on my account that I'll have fun with, but Arlecchino will definitely be my go-to starting QB in Abyss.
No joke, Mavuika's staple team include the best exploration units in the game by far. Whether in combat just by skilling all three, and especially in traversal. If you have a C1 Mavuika she can even ride for 14 secs outside of Natlan, with a cool down of ONLY 3 secs. You combo all their abilities to tackle any all water/mountain scenario. Only catch is the switch boosts don't trigger outside of Natlan... 😒
I got Lyney and I think he would've be so much better as a sub-dps, his gameplay focusing on putting the cat decoys and them kinda shoting or exploding at enemies, with his ult making a trail of decoys or something like that and Lynette focusing more on grouping enemies
For all those complaining I say thank god Mavuika is an on-field dps. I actually enjoy seeing my favourite characters for more than 1 second per rotation. She is the best dmg dealer in the game and also completely replaces Xiangling as a support at C0, for those saying national teams there Xiangling is either the main source or a good chunk of the team's dmg and guess who deals more dmg than Xiangling. Also my guy, it's 2025 and you still don't know what Raiden does or what her role is? Her skill isn't as strong as Mavuika's but has better uptime and gives a dmg buff to your entire team + you must have been asleep during Inazuma and halfway through Sumeru to say Raiden failed at being a dps/support hybrid when she had a complete chokehold on the meta during that time (with rational and hypercarry teams) and is still strong today
As a future wriothesley main, it does slightly upset me that her pyro app procs every 2 seconds instead of 1.5 or something. the 2 seconds is barely enough which is yk "yayyy it's enough" but also i wanted her to raise the team dmg ceiling for wriothesley but his meta team has been the same team since 4.2 which is vapemelt (Furina, Bennett, Xiangling) yes, theres other teams but I'm also a meta slave who wants to see their favorite character dominate all the content in the game like it's nothing.
I would like someone that you could use in place of Bennett because i am one of the people who don't like him, and the fact that Hoyo needs to balance attack scaler with him in mind makes it so all these new fun characters like Kinich, Arlecchino, and Chasca feel way worse without him and there's just no alternative, but i'm fine with what they did to Mavuika, being a dps makes sense for the pyro archon, as you said a replacement for Bennet could really be any element it doesn't really matter as long as they buff attack.

5:25 I would strongly disagree with that. If anything, one of the main reasons so many people don’t like Mavuika is because of the design elements in her kit revolving around nightsoul. They limit her team options as an on-field dps, while arle is mostly self-sufficient.
This is exactly why Hoyo decided to rerun Arlecchino, for the people who still want a strong Pyro-dps but who dont have xilonen/citlali
That's why they gave her the ability to burst at half charge... she can burst every rotation no matter her teammates.

It’s 80% of full burst at 100 stacks, that’s still a 100k dps team which is among the top teams. Her premium team is 120+k which is by far the best damage team.
The one thing we didn’t want from her is to be another on field pyro dps that power creeps the previous on field pyro dps and that’s exactly what she is….

the best hutao i've seen was faster than the best arle i've seen in this abyss. hutao is still crazy, people go overboard with dropping characters for new ones. power creep in this game is insignificant. even diluc holds his own against mavuika if you build a team for him and play him well.

I went from Hu Tao to Arlecchino to Mavuika. Each release (imo) made the previous one obsolete. At least the Pyro Archon Xiangling hasn't been replaced yet lmao

She was supposed to be the archon of war from Natlan, teased for years as the nation of war, dragons inspired by atztec maya and the like. Mavuika has none of that, she doesn't look, fight or feel like a warrior gameplaywise and she should be the archetype of that, her design isn't even based on Natlan's theme, she's just a biker, and while we can debate on weather or not you think that fits genshin or not, it definetely wasn't supposed to be what the archon of War was all about.

Thank you. Also this. Expectations of natlan itself were not met. Music not met, story not really met, and even with all the other arguments about power level, restrictions, sub dps role, the reality is, she was just poorly designed. It killed it for me. As basic as the pyro traveller is, I have been having fun with him and he doesn't even HAVE a bike. Dragons, aztec culture....yeah Mavuika is, as you said, none of that.
For my expectation on Mauvika kit, she definitely did not live up to my expectations. Her being so reliant on Natlan character for peak damage kills it for me. Her role in the story was enjoyable, but nothing spectacular.
I’m also a Lyney main (bias here) and he does amazing front loaded damage, but I agree he didn’t bring anything new for the table. But you do know Mauvika and Alrecchino are just as married to Bennett as Lyney is right?? Hu Tao is like the only exception compared to every other pyro dps. Having both Arlecchino and Lyney, Mauvika doesn’t look appealing to pull when I feel like I’m forced to get a 5 star Natlan support character just to have competitive damage with Alrecchino or Lyney. Mauvika is the strongest pyro dps, but the Natlan restrictions SUCK and Xilonen and Citlali were so recent that there’s very little time to save.
Thats exactly why they're rerunning Arlecchino in the 2nd half. I think it's irrational for people to complain about her being restrictive when they have great alternatives coming up who fill the exact same role. The genshin community puts Archons on a pedestal as some 'always meta' units, but that makes no sense to me.
@@Schmitt-Probably becuase Nahida and Furina were so meta defining. I started around 3.2 (so my experience had been archons to be these meta characters) but venti was meta defining before they intentionally made enemies they were not able to suck. There’s also people who only wanted only Mauvika but then needed to pull a 5 star Natlan character for her to function well (or C1). I’m sure the complaints will be a lot quieter once Xilonen and Citlali get reruns. But most people wanted Mauvika good out of the box at C0 without needing Natlan supports.
Without natlan characters she is pretty = to neuv and arle. How that makes her reliant is ???? or did some cc tell you that and you ran with it? With Natlan characters shes the first SSS Tier in the game.

@@logikx1325 Except, she isn't as versatile as them and that's a big deal. If you want Mavuika to hit as hard as you want, you *have* to run her with other Nightsoul units. (Specifically Xilonen and Citlali atp.) Without at least one of them, her damage takes a huge hit. There's also just no decent F2P option for her that even comes close to those two because the two Natlan 4-Stars haven't been crazy. (Kachina is there and not the best at frankly anything and Ouroron is built with Taser in mind.) It makes her pricey to build. Compare that to Neuvi or Arle who you can run with a bunch of 4-Stars while still maintaining a lot of your own damage and it's kinda hard to compare them. Mavuika might hit like a truck but she requires way more to do it.

We just got Furina and xilonen. With the fact that we have kazuha, xingqiu, Bennett, sucrose etc. supports aswell, getting another one is just going to break the game. Besides she is a good support sub dps aswell..

She puts pyro in a bit of a predicament. Do they never again release a top-tier pyro DPS to allow the pyro archon to maintain her crown? Or do they let her become the first archon to be truly power crept?
Yeah, you could argue Venti was power crept by the likes of Kazuha and Wanderer, but that's only from a certain point of view--neither of them can match his crowd control, for example. By making Mavuika a DPS, they've potentially condemned her to be the first one to eventually be categorically, undeniably power crept. And you can't argue that they'd never do that, because they literally JUST did it, and to a fan favorite character no less. Mavuika herself pushed Arlecchino off the top of the totem pole just months after she released. She couldn't even make it to her first rerun before the power creep happened. It'll be interesting to see what they make of this dilemma they've created. I'll be quietly amused if Skirk dethrones Mavuika for top DPS before we even leave Natlan. She's probably not pyro, but still, I'll laugh and shake my head if it ends up happening. (That's just speculation on my part; they've hinted that Skirk is crazy powerful, so DPS makes sense for her.)
Oh, and for the record, Mavuika is an easy pass for me. She doesn't fill any role that I don't already have covered three times over, the bike feels weird control-wise to me and looks kinda goofy in combat, and her power creep over Arlecchino isn't enough to generate any interest from a damage perspective. In fact, I prefer Arly's play style--no need to worry about fighting spirit, and she isn't shackled to any specific character's like Mavuika is. Venti is the only other archon I've skipped, and I don't plan to get either of them on any future reruns. I don't question why people find her appealing. But for me, she's just incredibly boring for an archon.
People always talk about Venti having the best crowd control but I can't imagine a scenario where Venti's amount of crowd control is sufficient and Sucrose's or Kazuha's isn't

She was almost the ideal pyro unit for me, but Hoyo made way too many questionable decisions that now I dislike her:
A Xiangling replacement, finally! ...that mandates a Natlan unit instead of Bennett and mainly carries off raw damage rather than pyro app.
A dual main & sub dps! ...that insanely powercreeps older dps rather than be a jack of all trades and has very underwhelming gameplay (CA donut spam).
A pyro unit that offers buffs! ...that last basically 0 time at all.
Looks amazing! ...until she pulls out her motorcycle.

This, I was ready to pull her as my only pyro dps but the biker thing was just not it. Specially after the cutscene where she fights Capitano I expected her combat to be something like cooler Dehya, not hitting people with a bike. After this I gave up with pyro, I'm just taking Xiangling to fight Celestia 💀

You did NOT mention she needs Citlali and Xilonen to fuel her nightsoul burst (other natlan characters don't really work with her well). She is not flexible (at C0) if she's tied to 2 other LIMITED five stars characters. You have like 1 slot spare if you want her to do DMG and it's probbably going to be taken by Bennett anyway because he's the best support for ATK scalers...
The challenge of making a pyro archon was is that pyro doesn’t have a unique niche the archon can become the pinnacle of. It’s just the DPS element. So they chose instead to focus less of her being the best pyro character and more her role as the leader of Natlan. Every other Natlan character so far has been designed specifically to interact with pyro, and put a new spin on its various reactions. While it is annoying that Mauvuika requires another Natlan character to make her kit work, it makes sense because all of them are made to enable her. She become the strongest pyro DPS not on her own like Arlechino or Hu Tou, but by being the champion of her people. Sure it’s not a typical archon design, but I do think more thought was put into Mauvuika than people are willing to give credit for.

That's a neat theme and all, but it leads to gameplay issues such as:
Hogging already in-demand units, filling a niche that is already overfilled, requiring you to get recent units to make her function, aging poorly, getting powercrept herself (as dps do), and limiting team options.
After Natlan ends, we're going to be getting very few Nightsoul units, and dps numbers are going to keep getting higher and higher. So the Archon that requires being paired with Nightsoul units and having high numbers... isn't going to be special. Imagine being a new player in 7.x and getting Mauvika in the yearly Archon run. How long will you have to wait to get Xilonen or Citlali before she's useable? It's like people pulling Xiao and not having Faruzan. That's just not healthy for the game.
@@elv6240 At C4, people assume everyone has high cons on certain 4 stars. I've been playing for 2 years and still only have C1 Xiangling who's a horrible character with really bad uptime. The only teams that Mavuika is worse than Xiangling in are teams that are irrelevant in the current meta which are Raiden and Childe national teams.
@@elv6240 most teams doesn't need xiangling's pyro application, and in general Mavuika is more consistent with only 2s CD and uses her elemental skill (no ER requirement) which also means you can focus on offensive stats on Mavuika instead of building ER.
All Nathan characters prefer Mavuika As pyro applicator and a lot of characters also prefer Mavuika's buffing and higher DPS output more AS they don't need that much pyro application (Ganyu, Wriothesley, Burgeon teams, etc.)
Although Xiangling is still the best teammate for Bennett, Raiden National and Childe International, or Neuvilette Vapes because they either require higher pyro application or just have more Synergy with Xiangling. Im honestly happy we got a Substitute for Xiangling. Sure its more optimal to play her AS a main DPS, but As a Sub DPS Mavuika actually works REALLY nicely

Honestly, I genuinely don't even mind that she's a Pyro DPS. My main issue is that she's very expensive to build a team around. Both Xilonen and Citlali are her best teammates since she needs Natlan characters for fighting spirit (at C0) and she doesn't work well with characters like XQ or Yelan due to most of her damage coming from her donuts. (Edit: You actually can use XQ/Yelan. You just have to weave in a Normal attack between the donuts and use dash cancels to not lose the Hydro app, my bad.)
Basically, if you were saving for her and had to skip someone like Xilonen or Ororon, then you're either gonna have to pull for Citlali as well or Mavuika's cons.
She does work well with xq or yelan just not as well as furina/citlali/chevororon teams tho. I'd suggest checking out zajef's video recently where he covers how u can actually use yelan if you just CA into Dash and keep doing that
she can work with xingqiu and yelan as well but u have to do some charged attack cancels to get their procs in between. it's generally pretty good tho and worth it if it's the only thing you got

you don't need both citlali and xilonen, just one of them. i use mine with kazuha instead of xilonen, works just as well. and my xilonen is c2r2 while my kazuha is just c0r1. pretty much same damage still.
and to me, this is her highlight. she doesn't use the same supports as everyone else (the core furina, xilonen and yelan is highly sought after in my account), and performs about as well without them. that is by all measures what i wanted from her, and she delivered (well only when i got c2 citlali, before i was kinda disappointed)
@@StargazerKite the difference between 100 fs and 200 fs burst is ~26%. And between 150 and 200 is ~10%. You know, that's like saying "Arlecchino is so limiting because she can't get her 200% BoL constantly for max DMG".
In other words: don't look at her maximum damage as base damage and how hard is it to achieve, look at what she already does. That's a huge mistake people make with Mavuika - assume she doesn't deal damage without 200 FS and Melt.
Guys trust me, Mavuika is a great support for Mualani by dealing massive amounts of damage on Mualani's behalf.
So if you want to vertically invest your Mualani's team, all you gotta do is pull for Citlali and bench your Mualani 😂

The issue with her is that she’s too good of a dps to be used for supportive role. Using her in a chasca team felt like a dps loss swapping into chasca.
I think they should’ve made her more focused on duel dps. Scale back her initial burst hit and motorcycle damage but have her give a big teamwide atk buff after casting her burst. That way she can still be used as a dps, sure, but her main role is to buff the team (which also rlly fits natlan’s idea of fighting together not alone).
I think thats more of a chasca problem because of her long field time. She works fine with some dual DPS comps like with Kinich or Navia
She does buff when she bursts? Huh? I don't think I'm understanding or you haven't read her ascension passives. The main point I wanted to make though is that not everyone cares about the meta that much. I still main HuTao despite having arle c2r1 and mav c2r1. I'd use her as a support for Mualani before I'd main her as a dps regardless of how strong she is.

Pyro is just a bad element, 80% of the element is main DPS, they canibalize each other way too much and the element itself is too unilateral, it's just ATK and damage, just vape and now melt, no pyro unit aside chevrouse use overload, no one uses sprout and the only ones who want to use burning are actually dendro DPS, pyro is too unilateral, Hoyo saw their favorite element getting no attention and made every single new character depend on a pyro reaction just to hype people for the archon

I definitely think C2 might have affected your opinion, as without c1 she's pretty depressing to use without other natlan units. at the very least, what people want out of archons is a kit that's ALWAYS helpful for a newer player to pick up, and mavuika day 1 of release is already terrible for new players! without xilo/citlali her performance drops off insanely.
Similarly, her pyro app off field just isn't quite enough to properly function as an all arounder pyro subdps, and in kinich or mualani teams where pyro app is less important you just lose damage while you're using them instead of her. Even if she's technically functioning as the subdps there, it just doesn't feel good that youre having to CHOOSE to lose damage for your team if you want to actually play your maindps properly with mavuika. As someone who was massively excited for Mavuika thinking she'd really make nightsoul a cool mechanic, or maybe she'd be a great pyro applicator, or maybe she'd even enable other pyro characters, having her be yet another main dps that is just stronger than the other pyro main dpses in their best teams, but WAY less flexible as well, just feels like a pretty disappointing kit when compared to the other archons (even raiden).
What's also important to people for archons is feeling like they provide something new, which Mavuika just doesn't really do whatsoever. On the other hand though, at least Citlali was a pleasant surprise in basically every respect, if only she shredded cryo resistance too!!

He would only be good at bartering Ayaka WHICH IS NOTHING TO BE PROUD OF, he would in fact not be able to battery Xiangling for Ganyu and Wriothesley which would make them infinitely worse. Yes if you paired him with Jean te wouldn't be needing Citlali right now for a couple of Pyro carries but you would eventually run into energy issues on a lot of Pyro carries or not being able to perform Pyro swirls or double swirls mechanics.
If he was Hydro:
He would just be terrible, what Hydro unit could possibly benefit from his buffs and Energy generation? Exactly, none. His Jean teams would be significantly weaker because that amount of Hydro application was already available throughout Xingqiu. If you had Hydro aura on you you would be tazed, frozen and supercondicted. Not something you would want on your best universal support.
If he was Electro:
Yes he would be able to battery Beidou but compared to Xiangling Beidou is a joke. It doesn't make a difference for Chevreuse teams except that he's now on a worse element. His Jean teams would be extremely weak because he would only be able to use transformative reactions and no multiplicative ones.
Why it matters that her's Pyro:
Jean swirls can melt, vape or overload enemies which is the best thing you could achieve out of any elemental combo.
You would be able to get overloaded but who cares, that is only a pro for Bennett because he enables self Electro applying Electro characters to trigger overload in themselves to harm the enemies.
Because he's Pyro he's literally the best unit for setting up Pyro swirls in VV vape teams because Kazuha and Jean can use him for self infusion.
He fits on teams like Chasca teams almost perfectly because of his element, if he was any other element those teams would be inconsistent. Pyro allows you to use Cryo's most offensive reaction, being melt, which can get ruined by the presense of Electro and Hydro. But unlike Cryo, Pyro also has an insane synergy with those two elements.
Lastly, his skill applies two elemental units, which makes him insane for shield breaking. If he was Cryo he would do nothing against Pyro shields, if he was Hydro he would be unable to break Cryo shields and would struggle with Electro shields. If he was Electro he would be able to only tickle all of these shields. Also Pyro is great for dealing with Dendro shields. And even tho we don't have a lot of them, when we do have them you can see that it indeed does matter.
Oh yeah, I forgot, his C6:
His C6 literally enables ANYONE to be a somewhat competent plunge Pyro DPS. If he was any other element this synergy with Xianyun would be non existent. There's a reason there are barely any showcases of other elemental infused characters as plunge DPS's

I know how it feels, I predicted Nahida was going to be Theresa's counterpart (from HI3), no one believed me, 2 months later we got the first Sumeru leaks and no one wanted to believe the archon was a "white loli", there was also a case back in 1.6 that I said Hilichurls were Kaehri'en to someone, I liked to see theories back then and knew about it since 1.0, the person I told it called me stupid and crazy, guess what? 2.7 confirmed it

5:24 Mavuika deals 30% more dps than Arlecchino comparing best team vs best team, the gap between Hu Tao and Arlecchino is 6% in terms of dps. So yeah. You might not like Hu Tao’s gameplay, but Arlecchino didn’t make her obsolete.
Neither mavuika is 30% more dps than arlecchino nor the gap between ht and arle is "just" 6%.
I wouldn't say arle made ht obsolete either, but don't fool yourself, arle has a lot of advantages over ht that go unnoticed in a mere dps comparison (such as frontload, aoe, teams and teammates restrictions, ability to switch). The difference between ht and arle is much bigger than that of mavuika and arle, and not even because this last one is much smaller than you mentioned, but because how big it is between arle and ht.
The source of the 30% dmg gap is "trust me bro"
Problem with Mavuika is application. Her pyro overtakes lots of cryo / hydro aura, which makes it extremely difficult to trigger reaction after her initial burst. I managed to get 600k+ hit on the primo and then all just no reaction damage and couldn't get a 3 star clear granted she is still not fully ascended. You need to be mindful about her donuts. Arlecchino is brain dead in that regard.
@@Merquitarika Arlecchino’s “advantages” over Hu Tao do not translate that much in practice in most situations. Like if you’re someone who doesn’t know how to play Hu Tao at all, yeah you’re going to say Arlecchino is so much better. But if you try to learn Hu Tao rotations which they’re not hard to learn, The gap is not big at all.
If you say I don’t want to learn anything about rotations and just want to press one button and everything dies, that’s a you problem not a problem from the character.
Also Hu Tao doesn’t have teammates restrictions. She is very flexible, sure not as flexible as Arle, but the only thing she needs is hydro application and there are 3 characters that can provide it to her. She has single hydro teams, double hydro teams, Furina teams. Arlecchino has a restriction which she’s so tied to Bennett and the problem is worse for her because there are no Bennett replacements.

She can still work as a sub-dps considering her Nightsoul state doesn't end when switched out and she keeps raining meteors, that do pretty good damage.
I'm currently running her over Xiangling, because she's more steady and i don't have to wait for Xianglings burst every time. hat being said, my team is scuffed anyways. :D

- Every archon is the pinnacle of what their element represents
- Pyro is the element of Damage
- Mavuika is the Goddess of WAR
I don't understand how everyone was so surprised that she ended up being a DPS, for me it was obvious for a long time that she would be a hybrid of Main and Sub-DPS with a hint of buffer on top, so I would say my expectations were met
Pro tip: you can tap Xilonen's skill after using Nightsoul Transmission to switch to her, and it will refresh her NSP.
My only gripe with the motorcycle is the fact that the strongest warrior of Natlan (possibly in the entirety of Teyvat) is barely visible during fights and that we can't see her amazing attack animations (including her awesome non-motorcycle charged attack)
What I love about Mavuika is that she makes the double on field DPS mechanic viable in some teams like Chasca.
Not only that it's insanely strong, but it's also tons of fun and kind of fresh.
I completely changed my mind about how well she can support when I put her on my Ganyu team with the cinder city artifact set and my Ganyu's melt damage skyrocketed. The rotations are still super easy and the buffs are consistently up. I'm super happy with this.

I mostly agree with "the bad" section. The main point for this disagreement is Mavuika's reliant on other natlan characters using their nightsoul points. I think it's very fitting that the main phrase in natlan is "no one fights alone", her plan relied on forming a team from the 6 tribes, and personally, the stand with Mavuika song that came out. I think it shows how natlan is united and works together, but that's me
People always talk about how something doesn't meet their expectations, but no one talks about the possibility of their expectations being unreasonable to begin with.
To me, it feels like there has been this manufactured expectation of what an archon should be, and it feels like a disservice to their characterization, background, and story.
The idea of 'Archon, therefore support' is not something I personally agree with, and I think there needs to be a change in mindset of how people set their expectations on something.
I like Mavuika's kit and I think it fits her role in the story, and as an archon to a T. She is a human and a warrior first and foremost, preferring a firsthand approach to dealing with threats, and so it only makes sense that her role as a DPS is primary, with her supportive abilities only being secondary.
Of course, these are just my own thoughts, and I know 100% that people will disagree with me, and that's okay. Overall, I just feel like there needs to be a second look at what players expect out of an archon before they set their expectations up for disappointment.
I agree with you hundred percent. The obsession over getting a character and having them be S-tier simply because they're an archon doesn't make sense to me. I pull characters because they fill a gap in my arsenal, Mauvika happened to be my first Meta pyro dps, and I had her supporting units so I pulled for her and was pleased with the result. If I didn't have xilonen/citlali, I would've pulled for Arlecchino/Hu Tao, (which they intentionally put in the next patch) not just whine about Mauvika being restrictive.
I think the problem is not mavuika but the core gameplay of genshin
Bc 95% of characters in the Game follows the same rules
Burst then skill swap
To next support and repeat until You get to your dps do dmg for like 5-9 seconds and then repeat
Maybe the gameplay is different but they all follow this rule

It's the fault of the burst cooldowns that demands the rotations to be faster to optimize your buffs and dmg
I agree with you. I don't know when it was set in stone for some people that Archons have to be supports. Raiden shoulda ended this trope 3 years ago. Hoyo themselves has never ever said that all Archons were gonna be supports.
And honestly, Mavuika, an archon being full on DPS was so refreshing to see for me to the point that she is the only Archon I have pulled since Zhongli in 2021.
If Mavuika was a dedicated support, I probably wouldnt have pulled for her.

People still thinking she was going to be a support despite all the hints, were on some high copium and just setting themselves for dissappointment so they could later have something to complain.

Too much citlali on the screen. Not watching, sorry. But yeah, idk what I was hoping for the pyro archon, but she did disappoint me. She looks goofy with that bike as well. I kinda wanted to try and get all the archons, but after her release I think I'll break that. I also thought about doing the same for all pyro characters, but the same thing happened. I guess me hoping that she would be THE pyro character kinda broke it for me, because, well, yeah, she's good, but she's not an all rounder jack of all trades kind of pyro character, which is pretty much what the other archons are. At least from my point of view, I see all archons as being the best characters from that element. Maybe not damage wise, but at least a character that exceeds at every aspect of that specific element. Mavuika is a great dps, but we already have a lot of those and every Natlan character has been pretty much the same. My Neuvillette C1R1 and my Hu Tao C1R0 can already brute force about most of the abysses so far, so I really am just pulling characters out of how much I like them now.

The irony of Arlecchino also getting a huge buff right before her first rerun with Citlali melt, which is her best archetype now. She's both stronger than ever AND powercrept at the same time. I still enjoy her unga bunga playstyle and variety of teams much more than Mavuika's nukes tho so I'll keep maining her and might go for C2. Still, it does sting that for once I was loving a meta pyro DPS and she stayed on the pedestal for 5 minutes.
I pulled C0R0 Mavuika on both of my accounts. She's on-field DPS on my secondary and off-field on my main. I'm okay with f2p-level dmg and not doing mavuillion dmg outside of showcase bosses with food. Personally she's not my favorite exploration Natlan character because that's Chasca (and ngl, I did pull her as a Chasca/Kinich/AFK sub-DPS on main and idc if it's "a waste" of a perfectly good Mavuika, I like the challenge of clearing content with my A/B-tier faves), but as part of a tag team it's really fun. Since I don't play international I can say Xiangling goodbye and that's huge.
I personally don't mind the For Natlan(tm) shackles because I pulled Xilonen, but I find excessive that her best team hoards all the nation's top supports + Benny (and if you play vape, she's gonna hoard Furina...) Playing her optimally can fuck up with a lot of second teams on abyss. Again, this also happens with a lot of teams that hoard a combination of Benny/Furi/Xilo/Kazu (Neuvi and Chasca and Navia especially istg). But with Mavuika and her potential of mavuillions, it puts you in a lot of pressure to pull for Xilonen and/or Citlali at least. I understand why it can be bad for f2ps or have people scared for her flexibility and meta state in future regions.

also, id like to add that arlechinno could still become a better pyro dps than mavuika in the future due to how mavuika needs at least 1 natlan character and needs to use charge attacks, whilst arlechinno is less restricted. mavuika makes up for it by being a good sub dps on top of a dps though
if you dont have xilonen and/or citlali though, arlechinno will be a better dps than mavuika, but remember that mavuika is a sub dps too
My testing shows about a 2 second per run gain on average with no natlan characters vs arle. With just kachina she clears faster by 5-10 seconds depending on which side of the abyss we are talking about this cycle. Those are practical tests and I'm not an arle or mav main so take that for what it is....but they are at least very close with 0 natlan characters.

At what part is mavuika flexible? my guy you literally need a natlan char just to use her burst unless you want to na to death or get her c1 and still need 1 natlan char or if not c1 then you need 2 natlan char to fully maximize her ult

A bit off topic: Just like most, I expected Natlan to be more of an ancient Greece setting with countless war and fire, but I honestly appreciated the more South American touch in the new region, plus all the animals reminds me a bit of Australia. I also expected the Pyro Archon to be a man just to give us a break from the majority of female characters as well as there being only 2 males out of the 7 Archons, however Mavuika more than proved herself not just as a powerful and entertaining character, but one with enough depth to take her seriously and enjoy her story. Even though Natlan wasn't what I expected, I think it turned out better than I wanted, and taking a few darker tones here and there was refreshing and creative, and I hope Genshin continues to evolve like that down the line, because after 4 years of stagnation, it's nice to take a step forward, and here's hoping the next following steps will become giant leaps.

The Citlali super jump nightsoul switch to Mavuika gives really insane vertical travel.
People like to think that Archon doesn't really get oowercrept but has likely forgot that almost all the archon we've got is meta at best for 2 major patch in the game, Venti is basically never spoken of much around Sumeru release, most team doesn't work well with him, Zhongli also the same fate, only used by players that can't dodge, his best team, Hutao double hydro isn't that meta by the end of Sumeru, Raiden isn't used much because most characters that uses her ults as their main damage isn't coming out as often anymore,
I mean, look at what modern characters uses Fate as their BiS sets nowadays, barely any. Now most characters have majority of their damage in their normals and skills,
Nahida is getting powercrept as Natlan come out, reaction damage especially with mavuika setting a new bar with her 400-1 mil damage ults. There's no competing with that burst damage with Dendro reactions.
Now Furina, really just how there'd been no new aoe healer since natlan is a bad sign, even tho yes the last one we got kinda fits great with furina, I wonder what may come out in 5.x that may put a stop on Furina's dominance
Mavuika being the best character to put in a team with another natlan characters will actually be the one thing that tide her over, she can actually be usable with a random characters from natlan that come out in 5.x or 6.x
I still think Neuvillette and Arlecchino are better pulls than Mavuika, taking into account their versatility and ease of use. Using Mavuika as an on field dps without Xilonen or Citlali must feel pretty bad, whereas Neuvi and Arle thrive even without a couple of their best partners.

Lived up to my expectations. Even if a new character hits harder than her, she has an off field play style and a teammate buff. Not to mention getting at least 100 fighting spirit isn’t hard at all. Being free from energy cost will help her longevity.
I feel like the only reason besides the obvious one, circle impact, people wanted Mavuika to be a support is it basically means she can't possibly be relevant in a year or 2 when she could have had real staying power like the other archons, besides maybe Venti who is very niche
I agree with one of the thoughts you brought up though they should have given her like a ancient name system where the person on field is able to generate nightsoul even if they aren't from Natlan, or something that would enable the nightsoul artifacts on non Natlan characters similar to Furina. As things stand this region just feels very predatory and a little too insular when it could easily have not been.
11:14 Definetly agree with this point. After Furina enabled everyone to use MH, I was pretty sure that Mavuika would do something similar and enable the phlogiston bar for everyone outside of Natlan. That would've been a much more appealing kit design than what we ended up with tbh. I might've actually pulled for her despite being a rather boring Mary Sue if she allowed my Kinich to use his grappling hook twice outside of Natlan.

I can't stress how important that Last Point is. It's been a trend that Archons share the power of thier element or nation with the Party, from Day 1.
Venti lets all member fly* (wind currents).
Zhongli gives all member the comfort of on-fielding a Noelle or Itto.
Raiden gives all members stronger, more consistant ults.
Nahida gives all members (as they take the field) better EM and stronger reactions (Whilst enabling Dendro better than any other off-fielder, and better than some on-fielders).
Furina gives all members access to Marechussee Hunter, Hydro enabling, off dmg and buffs (and healing). She's a piece of all other Hydro off-fielders and shares the benefits of Fontaine characts having HP Drain mechanics.
Then it's Mavuika.
Notice each Archon doing more, as each new region introduces a new mechanic. Then Natlan adds Nightsoul, Phogistion, Nightsoul transmission, and Nightsoul burst, and Mavuika doesn't enable Any of it for anyone else! She could have enable NS-Transmission out of Natlan, or any character to consume her nightsoul for Obsidion Codex. Nothing
The bests kind of Powercreep(pc) is equipment pc cause old character can use new sets to say relevent. That's why Furina enabling Marechausse is a big deal. If a broken set for shielded units came out (based on shield strength) it could make Zhongli teams relevent again (while buffing other shielders, like Furina aiding Healers). So many opportunites ignored.

I kinda envy new players though. They no longer have to suffer through the pain of building Xiangling just to have a decent off field pyro dps on their team.
Now that XL has been officially powercrept, let me make a prediction, Tsarita's E will be a cryo field that follows the active character and also gives 1.5k ATK buff and cryo infusion, then her Q will be a damage ability with big multiplier and puts a debuff on enemies kinda like Qiqi so when the active character hits the marked enemies, it heals the whole party.

Every Region has 2 5star Characters representing the Element of the Region, the Archon and someone related to the Archon.
I truly hope that the second Fire 5star from Natlan, maybe someone like the Dragon Sovereign, could be the ultimate Bennett Unit, maybe someone with a Domain like Nahida's Ultimate but Bennett's Ult effect on it. Maybe my expectations are too high but it sure would be a great character to pull for and perhaps it could be similar to how Yelan isn't replacing Xingqiu but instead works well with him.
I'm just not a meta player at all, so I don't really use Bennett that much, but I do hate it everytime I do, I don't want to be in such a small circle :C
I'd say with C1 she completely replaces Xiangling in 95% of teams. (With only a few very niche variations of some teams where Xiangling is better. Mainly Mualani with Furina).
She doesn't even attempt to replace Bennett which was honestly the character we really need another option for.
And her kit being soo focused on being yet another Pyro main dps that does 69 sextillion damage is really dissappointing. Especially with her reliance on Natlan characters to even function. Imagine if Raiden only gained Resolve stacks from Inazuma chracters. That would've been dogshit.
Story wise Mavuika is easily the most bland uninteresting Archon in the game. She acts like a stereotypical God would. Everything she does is the right thing to do and she never fails at it. I believe at one point she literally says one of her hobbies is Succeeding. (I believe it's one of her Teapot voicelines. Feel free to correct me if the source is from elsewhere) It can't be this on the nose can it? This is all kinda ironic given that she's the only Archon that is an actual human but she shows no human flaws whatsoever. How are actual gods more human like than the actual fucking human that ascended to godhood?

I definitely think she'll at least hold up as an off-fielder, and I can't get her now since I'm saving for chronliced, but on her rerun I hope to get her for my Kinich so I can finally utilize his A4 Passive that increases his damage when someone else does a nightsoul burst. And she also boosts damage in her A4 too I believe. That at least i know she can hold up in.
I love mavuika our pyro mommy I mean archon. She actually making me go back and 100% all of genshins exploration. Starting with inazuma. Even outside natland. If you start certain actions before her gauge runs out. You can get like extra mileage out of it. And there is other tech too. Like bunny hopping. It's so fun.

If it is possible to 36star the abyss with only 4star characters on most abyss cycles, then why does power creep matter to so many people? Your Arlecchino will help you 36 star the abyss for the foreseeable future. It shouldn’t matter if Mavuika does it a few seconds faster in most cases.
Of course Hoyo wants to create more powerful characters, but they also want to design them to be visually and mechanically unique from one another (Arlecchino- normal attacks, health management; Mavuika- charged attacks, fighting spirit). This allows the player to have more agency in how they want to play the game. I totally get being disappointed in how a character is designed, but the way people talk about it makes it seem like they don’t even like the game they are playing.

Actually when it comes to overworld exploration Mavuika has the ability to bunny hop by triple jumping as well as double wall climbing. She's actually the fastest and farthest range traversal unit and even beat xilonen buy a mile at c0
Mav finally gave my Xiangling her break and Pyro Aether convinced me to keep lv 20 benet in the basement 👍🏼
Things mavuika does: op dps, crazy sub dps, buffer, good pyro application.
Things she can't do: attack buff ( Bennett), can't fit in every team in game ( because pryo is not the most versatile element in the first place)
I built an EM Raiden and I feel like Mavuika pairs well.
Activate both of their bursts and against non-bosses the game just plays itself. That's before using Nahida's link.
It makes me want to know what the laziest way to play Genshin is.

Her depending on other Natlan characters to efficiently charge her Burst actually fits the story and I'm glad it's like that so there's room for other Pyro DPS units
In terms of exploration, I'm glad she didn't powercreep anyone and didn't have Kinich or Citlali/Ororun powers. And it feels like she only really mimics Mualani and Xilonen exploration.

@@Not_obligated2care ive described it already before, but mavuika could have been an on-fielder dps support hybrid. basically, after bursting shed provide a huge buff to the entire party, but this buff has a catch. it can only be utilized by the on-field unit, and drains quickly when you on-field a unit. mavuika also would keep her playstyle where she can also be used as a dps and sub dps.
youd now be able to create teams full of on-fielders. for example, kokomi - yoimiya - wriothesley - mavuika. same fir natlan, you could have a team like mavuika - mualani - kinich - citlali. I believe this would shake up the meta A LOT more in a much more interesting way than mavuika going "oh btw i have a lame mechanic that literally does nothing besides forcing me to use natlan characters for my best teams"

At C0, she doesn't replace my C3 Xiangling in International lol. Citlali has more of an Archon kit in her own flexibility and in that she actually provides a variant in that specific team to me. Now, if Mavuika's skill could snapshot? Completely different story.

I dont know what his Raiden build is but from my experience my dps raidens skill hits pretty hard on top of the fact it buffs your teams burst dmg.
Pyro is dominating as DPS. And being “god of war” making her support is not logical
She's definitely powerful and fun to use, and I think the bike is sick, but the Nightsoul mechanic really limits her teams and makes her an expensive unit to pull. It's not a player-friendly situation at all. Personally, she'll be a boutique character on my account that I'll have fun with, but Arlecchino will definitely be my go-to starting QB in Abyss.

I think she did. She's a high tier dps with support capabilities, basically Pyro Raiden with higher dps.
No joke, Mavuika's staple team include the best exploration units in the game by far. Whether in combat just by skilling all three, and especially in traversal. If you have a C1 Mavuika she can even ride for 14 secs outside of Natlan, with a cool down of ONLY 3 secs. You combo all their abilities to tackle any all water/mountain scenario. Only catch is the switch boosts don't trigger outside of Natlan... 😒
I got Lyney and I think he would've be so much better as a sub-dps, his gameplay focusing on putting the cat decoys and them kinda shoting or exploding at enemies, with his ult making a trail of decoys or something like that and Lynette focusing more on grouping enemies
For all those complaining I say thank god Mavuika is an on-field dps. I actually enjoy seeing my favourite characters for more than 1 second per rotation. She is the best dmg dealer in the game and also completely replaces Xiangling as a support at C0, for those saying national teams there Xiangling is either the main source or a good chunk of the team's dmg and guess who deals more dmg than Xiangling.
Also my guy, it's 2025 and you still don't know what Raiden does or what her role is? Her skill isn't as strong as Mavuika's but has better uptime and gives a dmg buff to your entire team + you must have been asleep during Inazuma and halfway through Sumeru to say Raiden failed at being a dps/support hybrid when she had a complete chokehold on the meta during that time (with rational and hypercarry teams) and is still strong today
As a future wriothesley main, it does slightly upset me that her pyro app procs every 2 seconds instead of 1.5 or something. the 2 seconds is barely enough which is yk "yayyy it's enough" but also i wanted her to raise the team dmg ceiling for wriothesley but his meta team has been the same team since 4.2 which is vapemelt (Furina, Bennett, Xiangling) yes, theres other teams but I'm also a meta slave who wants to see their favorite character dominate all the content in the game like it's nothing.

I would like someone that you could use in place of Bennett because i am one of the people who don't like him, and the fact that Hoyo needs to balance attack scaler with him in mind makes it so all these new fun characters like Kinich, Arlecchino, and Chasca feel way worse without him and there's just no alternative, but i'm fine with what they did to Mavuika, being a dps makes sense for the pyro archon, as you said a replacement for Bennet could really be any element it doesn't really matter as long as they buff attack.
