Hi everyone, I trust you are all well and hope you managed to get out on some of your own adventures during the “summer”. Today’s video I will be taking on the Pictish trail in reverse from Edinburgh to Dunnet head. Hope you enjoy! I don’t normally like to ask, but this video took a long old time to make, so if you could like the video maybe share it with someone you think will enjoy it, that would help a lot.
Also, you can find more info on the routes at Keepsmilingadventures.com and over @MOREkeepsmilingadventures
Before you take on this route yourself, check out this video th-cam.com/video/aNMui94DqwM/w-d-xo.html
Thanks fore joining me for this one.

Me and the cat so enjoyed this video. It was a movie, great work, Josh! The cinematography was so good, incidental music complimentary. Just waiting to recover from surgery now, been off the bike since March. I’m so glad you have recovered from your Welsh adventure. Look forward to your next adventure 😊😊😊

As you came down into Aboyne it’s the Fungle. An ancient drovers trail. That last descent is epic. Fab video.

Josh, I think this is your best video yet. You're really perfecting the balance between straight to camera narrative, imagery from the ride and post-ride voiceover. And I think you're now getting the tone of the post-ride voiceover perfect too. Also... many thanks as this is a ride I've been wanting to do for a while and it gives me a great preview of what it will be like!

Great film Josh. Lovely photography as always. You have the rare ability to convey the absolute pleasure of cycling long distances in these wet and windy islands. The unfailing positivity you show, whatever the circumstances, puts the rest of us to shame.

The algorithm just recommended me your channel. Great job on this video. The composition is really good and your narration ties it all together. The drone footage is also colored very well. I just completed this ride north to south and it was the an amazing adventure. Hard to believe there is a more beautiful place on earth than Scotland

I took my running club along the trails over the Lomond Hills, past the reservoirs, only yesterday. Today, you release a video of the same route. Spooky! Great video - keep up the good work … and keep smiling!

Absolutely brilliant work Josh!! The video was wonderful to watch (just did a Z2 hour on the trainer and you were the entertainment!). I live in Canada but was born in Scotland and love any chance to savour it - thank you for this! Next year will be doing Inverness to Edinburgh leg of this trail - so you provided a LOT of insight and intel that helps imagine the route and planning. Really like your content and approach!! Keep smiling mate!! Looking forward to checking out your other films!! Take care and wishing you tailwinds!!

Keep promising myself that one day I'll go to the states and do the Great Divide. And then I cost it up (nudging £10k all in) and realise that there's stuff like this on my relative doorstep, so why bother? No bears either!

It was a pleasure to watch this video on a dreary October evening, and think about next years bike trips. The filming and drone shots are some of the best I've seen .I 'm glad you survived the scary bridge😱At least I know it won't break under me, as I'm probably almost half your weight🤭

Great video loved following it along - love some of the camera stuff you've managed whilst riding so I'd love to learn more about what kit you use.
Feel compelled to point out: Inverness is not Scotland's smallest city! - Stirling claims that distinction with 37,000 people and Inverness has more than double that number.

Epic trip. I know the Cairngorms and Moray area pretty well and the weather can become rather inclement! I always wonder if you could split these trail rides into episodes as there must be lots of footage you dont use, but the videos are great and love seeing the landscapes and camping spots. Thanks!
