    Nita is amazing, her bleeper went off at one point and she explained how when she gets an emergency call from the Neo natal ward she runs as fast as she can but only to get there and her assistance is not needed. (CAMERA MAN) "Did you need to run that fast?" NITA, "Yes off course i did (ITS A BABY)every second i slow down is potentially a breath that baby didn't take"
    what an amazing human being. we have footballers on hundreds of thousands of pounds a week yet we have Nitas all over the country saving lives for pittance, under immense pressure and quite frankly do not get close to the same respect that someone gets for kicking a football across the field. it really makes you think! :-(

    Fahim and Neeta are prime examples of not just good, but excellent doctors. I really respect the fact that Neeta opened up about how having a baby impacted her work. It’s essential that doctors can be honest with themselves and reflect on any weaknesses throughout their careers. I don’t have children but if I did and they became ill, I’d hope for docs like these two lovely individuals!

    The moment with the burn made me cry. I got a terrible burn on my leg when I was around 9-10 years old and while in recovery I couldn't even step on that leg without holding onto something. Had to go to the hospital every day to redress it too and the pain was so terrible for me then, I cannot even imagine how it can be for a baby who does not understand yet why he is in so much pain. Hope he recovered well and doesn't remember any of it anymore.

    Their are like saints sacrificing themselves for others and in return this sick system will chew, drain and destroy them in time. One doctor and ward full of kids that need constant care pushed to mental and physical limits. And worst is politician in charge dont care, it always same story of system pushed to limits until some tragedy happen and then they stand in lines before cameras pushing tear and babling how they fix it ASAP for PR but in the end nothing change, new day new story everything is forgotten.

      Lucy Wong Except in the US you have to pay thousands of not hundreds of thousands of dollars to get treatment. The NHS is so precious and so very needed in the UK. You can’t have the best of both worlds; it’s a national health service and is totally free for everyone. My sister is in her F2 year & gets paid £45,000 a year. That’s pretty good if you ask me.

    • @LucyWonglondonbody2body
      @LucyWonglondonbody2body 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      NHS is great and have used myself without paying expensive insurance. Is not sustainable. If they had a basic requirement for everyone to at least have a small fee insurance then that could help drive more capital into the NHS for funding and salaries. £45k is not good for demand and work load plus time took to qualify and years of lost salary. If living in London, that can not even get you on the property ladder. Need at least £70k a year to even get a basic studio. In US doctors make $150k to $500k. Granted they also have much more student debt than UK , like $100k to $300k is typical, but can soon be paid back.

      @@thitherword No, I obviously didn't watch "the god damn documentary" (just referenced something 23 minutes into it using psychic abilities) 🤦🏻‍♀️
      And no one gives a damn WHY they are too tired to perform... It doesn't make it acceptable or a valid excuse.
      If one of your loved ones is ever killed by a medical mistake or a plane crash, I'm sure you'll *instantly* feel better and drop all concerns once told "Sorry, but the doctor/pilot was just too tired from working insanely hard! 😉"

      Children's heart rates are considerably faster than adults. Mine is 41 bpm at slowest resting rate and an anaesthetist once said I must be dead because of how slow it can get, but generally, its in the healthy 60 bpm to just over 100 bpm, although, it will go plus 120 bpm during most exercises ie, fast walks, gym equipment such as bikes, rowers, cross trainers and it will take a minute or maybe longer to come down to a good resting rate again, once I'm done pumping iron.

    I am not sure why they waited to give the steroid the croupy baby until she was much worse, that was silly! In the US that baby would have gotten a dose of Decadron immediately, and possibly Raecemic Epi nebulizer as well, as she had strider at rest.

      @@lilyrose8929 it's also well known that the U.S. has some of the best and highly trained doctors in the world. They also earn more money than doctors in the U.K. in fact an article from Feb 2019 listed the top 10 countries of doctors with the highest salaries. The U.S. was number 3, while the U.K was number 6. The U.K is also facing severe issues with lack of doctors needed to keep up with the demand of patients requiring medical treatment. Especially when it comes to emergencies requiring Ambulance services. Unfortunately while you guys have "free health care" (newsflash it's not, you suffer by paying huge taxes) the NHS is facing a severe staffing crisis.
