The 3 pieces of paper that they gave you were his slippers in little envelopes, that they cut up every year on his feast day. His slippers get replaced every year as they wear out. As he walks around the island carrying out miracles. They open the coffin every day at mid day and you can kiss his feet. I have been to see him twice & it was a magical experience.

I would love to have an experience like that. Last night had a dream I saw people walking in the sand, holding up spiritual celebration. The feeling was Greek.
The Orthodox church is what I’ve grown up with. All of them are decorated with Saints or Archangels on the walls and most of them have a relic that is from the Saint the church is named after. The ones with the actual body entombed of the Saint are amazing , you can smell a most divine odour. They don’t smell like rotting flesh if that makes sense.
