Amazing video. 👏 Idk how hard this was to put together, but it was a lot of fun, and felt way more human than most of the stuff on YT. I'm ready for streets and eats, since I agree about Maison Kayser. They're not quite the best here in Mexico, but they are very good. ✌️
Love how proud and excited the dude at the 1:12 mark (and later on in the video) was to have you dudes photographing him lol. Great vid. Looks like a great group of guys to go out and shoot with.
@@luuvuh Glad Luuvu agrees with me! Y'all seem like a cool bunch of guys to take photowalks with. I'm pretty much a hobbyist and usually run solo on "photowalks" if you can even call it that. I just came form a Wild Mushroom Fair and a guy saw me with my blacked out Minolta CLE and guy was like "what camera is that?". We had a cliched gear talk but it was nice having a sense of community. Oh and he had an MP+cron. Basically I just wanted to say I'm jealous of y'all's crew.
Great video! Fun to see Alex in some great edited video. If anyone with a Leica complains about excessive film please. Sell your Leica buy any Nikon F camera or any other film camera and put the money you get over on film.
all the photos look amazing!! loving it. I am too transitioning to black and white, yesterday I tried 2 rolls of black and white and the result looks different from my usual photos, and its pretty fun!!
When the video started I quickly realized we weren't getting Ivan the essayist. A few minutes into the photo walk with a gang of camera nerds and I didn't think I would make it through the 30+ minutes, but the pictures saved the day. I actually preferred the portion with just Alex as it was more calm. In the end the video won me over and yeah now is a good time to go as the exchange rate is good, and even when it isn't, Japan is a steady muse for anyone who enjoys photography.
@@ivunchow For a guy who is so meticulous in constructing his videos to take on hammering some chaos from multiple subjects together into a coherent video, it turned out to be a good showcase for your format flexibility. Just a little jarring from the calm vibe I usually see on the channel. 👍
Yo I also took a photo of that guy with the dogs at 9:18 😂 back in 2019. he is still doing it wow haha. The pilot episode of streets and eats was hilarious. Learned something I didn’t know about Japanese bread😂 I always thought they do some voodoo with their pastry because nowhere else in the world it taste like in Japan.
if you are in japan, film (at least 120) is like 7000¥ cheaper on amazon than in stores (biccamera, kitamura...etc), plus there are often sales! i just got a pack of 160NS for 6000¥!!
This must what it was like to be in the AV club in high school. I had so much fun watching this video as all of your other ones. Alex is still very cringy BTW.
Well, sadly, they have the vaccine mandate, and I or anyone in my family ain't getting one of those to visit. We're going to Vegas instead this year, but enjoy seeing the country through your eyes.
The Dramatic music and crop in for the X-pan was so hilarious. Man I gotta get back to Japan.
Fun times! Your story telling style and music choice is always on point 🔥🔥🔥. Once again, Happy to share this memory with you.
Super cool seeing you all on the streets together! Jonny's cameos are the best. Heh.
Likewise bud, until next time 🙏🏻
So good, I'd watch 10 of these in a row, like a Netflix series.
Fun time and love the music. I like Johnny in the mix! His humor is effortless. Streets and eats yeah!
Thanks man!
The magic color is Blue ! Love this 💙
😅 All of us in our pure state. I'm glad I left all the vlogging up to you.
Killer shots and great banter!

Luu is the Bobby Lee of photography - love it.
He would be so happy to hear that 😂

Really nice video. What is the name of the film shop you bought Ilford pack? I am visiting Tokyo next summer and I will have to buy film.
It’s called the Basecamp in Kanda
@@ivunchow Thank you
Hey Ivan, what vlogging cam do you use?
27:20
Can you please give some more details, reference? Thank you.
It’s only for m9 raw files. If you have that camera. Hit me up on IG and I’ll show you where to find it
400 Tmax is a safe film to develop with cinestill monobath too.
thank you ivan😆8:32❤
Half and hour of good friends and fun times. Sometimes that is all street photography needs to be.
Disappointed to finding the "streets & eats."
Having fun is what it’s all about ✌🏻
Having fun is what it’s all about ✌🏻
Idk how you guys do it I can’t leave the house with 2 camera let alone 2 lenses lol I’m so lazy at carrying things around
Wow where is that shop…!
what film did he used at 22'30 ?
Ilford Delta 3200
@@ivunchow thanks Ivan

I have embraced my inner nerd with age
Not too cheap but more like you only know how to develop black and white film
that british guy was annoying
That’s cool, we never have to meet in real life

Lightmeters are cheap
