I went to Hopkins highschool in the early 1990's and used my Brother's ID to see trip Shakespeare Play at first avenue. I'm in recovery now and love hearing these guys
I have some great memories of Trip Shakespeare shows in Lawrence, KS and Kansas City. Very fun to see this time capsule capturing the fun and beauty of this unique band!!
The Bottleneck, in '88. I was there. It was where I first heard them do "Snow Day." It took a lot to get me laughing in simple amazement and delight in those days. I was a surly fellow, but they unfroze me, at least while they lasted. All these years later, whenever it snows in Seattle, I hear a chorus of "it's coming down!"
Every time my school Teacher wife is off for a snow day, We play that track and then I usually go down a Trip Shakespeare rabbit hole for a few hours. @@VisionaryCompanion
What a magical time it was in their lives back then. Same for me. Teens through 20s are the best times of your life, and the late 80s and early 90s were such a great time to be that age. I thoroughly enjoyed them. Listening to their songs brings back a flood of memories for me of that special time. Thank you Trip Shakespeare.
Lol it cracked me up seeing Elaine slam the car door with her foot. Lol! Hard to believe this was shot 31 years ago. Man they were such a great band, I saw them live in Cambridge Mass. fantastic show
Another one of those bands that blew my mind in 1990. I thought, "Finally! Music is going in the right direction!" I was slightly naive to say the least.

"Experiencing Trip's music has provided many of my greatest joys in life and love. So cool they mention Lincoln, NE. I missed that particular show at Duffy's Tavern. I would love to see them again too. Three times in their prime tho'. Love them.

I saw them a number of times at different venues such as Kaufman Union on the U of M campus. Good times.

Gone but not forgotten. My 'perfect day' was capped by a Trip Shakespeare concert. They had incredible energy live.

If there is one band on Planet Earth I wish would reunite and record again, it's Trip Shakespeare.
This is easily the best band in Minnesota history. Those days were incredible.

What a wonderful band. I still listen to their music and wish they could have stuck around longer. Please get back together, guys!
Yep, this was an outstanding ensemble with some superb songwriting.
