Well, a nice building from this era in a good spot on Södermalm would come close in price if you want to buy. If you’ve been in line for a rental (around 40 years or so!) you can find a rental apartment and then they can’t factor in the neighborhood and rental prices are approximately the same all over town.

One can understand why it´s expensive, it´s just beautiful. Almost a sense of Old Town. I believe that the famous radio- and tv-personality Lennart Hyland lived just where you started and concluded the walk.
Love the furniture style in that apartment, a bit less the price... I wonder if you "meet the requirements" for the poshness of the area if you have a cat, or are you better off with a dog. The smaller, the better😉

You can always tell if a neighbor is rich by their cars. You can't do that were I live. All the homes come with two car garages. Lol, but all said and done, it's a beautiful neighborhood. take care, be safe.

Not only a posh neighborhood but also a safe one where you can leave your bike there for as long as you want.
I did lock my bike during my walk, but left the helmet hanging on the handle with no worries
