I had wondered from Halsey's reference to Blink-182 in that song that blew up (Closer) if she was actually a fan of pop punk or not, as that was the extent of what I had heard of her vocals, but hearing her in this song makes it pretty clear she's a fan, you dont learn that kind of vocal distortion without listening to pop punk classics on repeat
