My British mother lived to be 96. She lived by herself, in NYC, for over 25 yrs. Outlived my father by 38 yrs. He died at 70. My older sister , works for the government , in Austin, TX. She is 78.Very sharp. I'm retired in Danbury, CT. I'm 76 and healthy. Do everything by myself. My younger sister, retired from NBC, in NYC , and was a journalist for over 30 yrs. She had Lewy Body Dementia, and passed away at 70.My daughter lives in LA, and my brother lives in Brinnon Wash.I worked for 36 yrs. 26 yrs of it, was for May Co. I'm on long waiting lists, for senior housing.
My grandmother didn't even feel OR act like 100-------she was 105-------you'd thought she was 80! She was awesome.......didn't worrry, always smiled, never raised her voice, and had 1 glass of red wine everyday of her life.
What is too much is too bad/ unhealthy . The same with phisical activity. "Love it" to see ilustrating old age with runing young very healthy people. The answer is not that simple. Key to health is in wise thinking and managing targets. managing supply of energy, not escaping but wisely assesing risks and needed gains, adopt activities in our unique personal capabilities, hobbys and learning about own health on our own. .I was pretty dying in age of 60. Constant suffering - doctors had no advice only repeating the useless tests. . And now 15 years more without dedicated phisical activity I improved to feel like I was in my 20 ties with yhe same playng singing, buiilding things and driving my "new" second hand motorbike. No any medication.

Never stop living. AND, happy thoughts, sleep, eat, exercise, and remain engaged in consciously living.
