Friday Night Funkin is an upcoming rhythm video game developed by Funkin' Crew Inc. and released on Newgrounds in 2020. The game is developed by a small group called The Funkin' Crew Inc., which consists primarily of Cameron "ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, evilsk8r. The game is also open-source. It shares some gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution, PaRappa the Rapper, and the "Dance Contest" minigame from Club Penguin, and borrows aesthetic influences from Flash games. The game has been credited with driving users back to Newgrounds, a site that rose in popularity in the early 2000s.
The game revolves around the player character, Boyfriend, who must defeat a variety of opponents in singing and rapping contests in order to continue dating his love interest, Girlfriend. Gameplay involves hitting notes with timed inputs while avoiding running out of health for the duration of the song.
The game was initially created for the Ludum Dare 47 game jam on October 5, 2020. An expanded demo was released on November 1, 2020, with updates continually released in the following months. A full version of the game backed by Kickstarter, titled Friday Night Funkin': The Full Ass Game, is in development.

Even the devs made it harder for you to hit full bar if you're not getting Sick combos. Call it skill issue,but i call it "playable for anyone who has fingers"

By puting the botplay text as "Insert coin" and the rest of the Ui makes it feel more like a arcade game just like how the devs wanted it too be
i always felt like letterboxes looked really great in fnf, makes the scene look a whole lot less empty and honestly i would welcome it in the base game - especially since it could make room for more UI elements.
love this the only thing is i never really liked the screen moving each time a note is pressed like i don't like it when mods have that the cam moving the direction of the note pressed i just always found that annoying but that's my opinion keep up the good work!

(Please read all) Not to make fun or anything no offense please don’t bully me in replies but I don’t really like it when they say remaster or remake or reamigned and only change the health bar the icons one or two sprites and only find or make one remasters sprite for example pico but nene and Darnell are the same I would’ve been fine if Darnell was at least given lip syncing like pico and also the Ui like the letters at the bottom of the health bar I think it’s called that again just sharing a opinion please don’t blow me up with comments that defend the person who put the hard work In trying to make this I respect that I’m just saying overall good job
