I am calling on the County Goverment of Mombasa to honour this Ikone, Mzee Ngalla with a park/ garden/ street,this man is old and has contributed emmensly on the Kiswahili language through his Musik which has been copied by some other artists.He should start getting divedences fro them.
Time has come for Coast leaders/ polititians to hounor such "Icons" by organizing Events that they can entertain the public during public holdays, ( Madaraka. Mashujaa, Jamhuri) for a small gauge to boost them. Include Mzee Maulidi with his Taarab, as they have made Mombasa what is today.These two melodies (Bango, Taarab) has identified/ made us uniq and should be declared as:" Coastal Herittage"with all rights reserved.
