    I do ride an older Vespa but I’m not a fan of all the reproductions, that being said I can appreciate the fact that RE has not made a cheaper worse version of their bigger scooters. Good job and a good looking product.

    Thanks again for another well balanced and informative review. I look forward to receiving my RA GT50 on being shipped from you to bonnie Scotland. Keep up the good work gents, your reviews are amongst the best available online in my opinion.

    I have a GT 200, love it, great dealer backup from Carnaby Scooters. I ride out nearly every week with the local scooter boys and girls. Well made scooter, easy to clean, fun to ride and reliable !

      David, what's fuel economy like (km/l or mpg)? Thanks!

    There's something incredibly "Fun" about riding a nifty fifty. You really appreciate the law of conservation of momentum. As you say, anticipation is the key to maintaining forward speed. There is a definite skill to this - which more than makes up for the lack of workload needed with clutch and gears etc. When I was "in between bikes" I was gifted an old Peugeot Vivacity Compact. After a bit of refurb I used it for my commute. I used to pin the throttle as I left the house and it mainly stayed there - against the stop for 15 miles. The footage of you negotiating roundabouts really reminded me of that!

    So i have always loved the original Lambretta as my dad had a Li125 Series 3. i never knew that this company existed till i found your channel and now i am saving my pennies for one!, thank you for the review

    It's beautiful. If Lambretta and Vespa made that shape they'd sell more. It's a modern classic.

    I had a scomadi tl 50 which is very close to this model and it was pretty quick for what it was but now have upgraded to a bigger cc model but perfect starting bike to get into the scooter scene

    Another decent report on the moped in the range and as you said it's a way into the scooter scene via HPfor 16 year olds that can't afford to spend £3 -4.000 cash on a nice condition small frame Vespa 50

    Very nice,a 50 though, much too slow and especially up banks where you probably be doing around 20-22 and that to me is a dangerous speed to be doing.I have the new lambretta v200 and although not too popular,I think it’s a great scooter and plenty of power.

    • @andrewmillar8153

      Wonder what speed it will achieve once derestricted , and I agree as is it's too dangerous

      andrew millar my self and friends managed a regular 45 mph on the flat full out for hours on end going to rally's etc but it cost way to much it made it safe to ride though one or twice go to 50mph but always down hill this was done with a Tomtom to prove it it was done on the original Scomadi TL 50 which is a carburetor motor though🛵🇬🇧

    Unfortunately to my cost Speedo is not worth a toss and the cables and frame started rusting very quickly doesn't hold its price got rid and bought a lambretta 125 special far superior

    So most scooter put out 100 decibels? I can believe that. Despite the fact the legal limit is about 87 db.

    Just got one of these delivered on tuesday. Tidy wee scooter habdles really well and good build quality. Ive found it hard to find a lot of info online about it though as im wanting to find out how to derestrict it and potentially lower it slightly as its quite tall for my girlfriend trying to drive it.

    Is the qaulity the same as the scomady tl50? An plastic body, why not metal?

    • @motorsforthemasses
      @motorsforthemasses  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I haven't seen the Scomadi to compare but the quality of the RA is very good? Metal would most likely be too heavy and in a 50...lightness is key!
