- / mintvolcano - Dear Tenant 《情愛的訪客》is a 2020 Taiwanese dramatic film, directed by Cheng Yu-chieh and starring Mo Tzu-yi, Chen Shu-fang and Runyin Bai, about the struggles a gay man goes through trying to raise the son of his dead lover. Although the man has no blood relation to the child he still considers him family. Due to society not yet fully accepting the legitimacy of a gay relationship he faces many cultural and legal problems as he tries his best to take care the child and the child's grandmother. This is a very serious film and it highlights an important issue in Taiwan society. Movies like this help change societal ideas about cultural issues such as attitudes to the LBTGQ community because they help build empathy and understanding to an audience that may not have seen the issues in the film depicted on screen before. We review Dear Tenant with the talent actress Gao Yirong, and she gives her thoughts on what makes Dear Tenant a great Taiwanese film.
The Mint Volcano channel will be uploading more review of Taiwanese cinema, films, movies, Netflix shows as well as reviews of films from other Asian countries such as Hong Kong, China, Japan and more. We hope people from all over the world will seek out these movies and share them with their friends.

Another movie that I still haven’t watched. It makes me think of Dear Ex(誰先愛上你)
Time to catch up on some movies!
The actor for You-yu didn't even feel like he was acting. He's naturally talented but I'm sure he received and benefited from some great direction. Also loved that the mountains could be its own character study.
