Poetry in the Round: Christian Wiman and Peter Hawkins

Poet and essayist Wiman, after a decade as editor of POETRY magazine, has joined the ISM/YDS faculty as Senior Lecturer in Religion and Literature. His most recent publication is a spiritual memoir, "My Bright Abyss: Meditation of a Modern Believer." He was joined by Peter Hawkins, Professor of Religion and Literature, whose work has focused on Dante and, in the "Listening for God" series, on contemporary American fiction. Wiman and Hawkins invited listeners into the round for an up-close conversation about the intersection of theology and literature on the Quad.
