@@douglasdiggins8296 depends on my mood but recently yeah. If not 10 spell I do melee with staff or Rondel and Crystal Ball with Arcane shield
I just started playing and the game is so great, I started off with wizard even though I was warned not to but I can't help it the spells are so fun. Your videos have been helping me improve a lot so ty!

The giant centipede run away thingy is based off how much damage you do in a short time, druid probably wasn't doing enough damage to make it run away.

hey red, a question. what should i get for a secondary weapon on wizard, should i be using magic sword or magic staff, i usually play as a group, (not using magic staff perks) thoughts?
The fight with the bard is a perfect example of why I never chose to run ice mastery. New players, just keep in mind that it only works with the ice bolt spell and only on the event you land a shot. If you are miss every ice bolt you shoot it's just a wasted perk slot. As a new player, you want to avoid using most spells for PVE and use them just PVP. So you really don't want to use it until you are confident you can land your shots. I mean when you get value, you get VALUE, but when you don't it's just a loss. At a high skill level it could be invaluable, but at a low one you should focus more on perks you can reliably get value from.

Respect for running 10-spell in solos! That is unusual and requires some thought to avoid spamming one spell
Wait do they wipe everything after so long so like basically everyone has to make re lvl there characters and re grind loot and what not?
I ain't going to lie, my naked runs look waaaaay different. I sometimes still get killed by mobs and every pvp fight is a 100% death chance when i play wizard. They just run at me and i'm done for. Also this guy got more loot in his first run than I have since I started playing the game again since the game got on steam💀
what's your reasoning for opting out of arcane shield?

When you take gear to the dungeons, are you always at the risk of losing it? Can the squire base gear be upgraded?
I’m scared to use what I get because I die too much, so I’ve been just playing with squire gear
It can't be upgraded, but if you watch a few of these zero to hero runs you will quickly understand that you get your gear back about as quickly as you lose it, in norms anyway. Everyone else is in the same boat as you, so don't be afraid to bring decent gear if you find it. it's there to be used, not to sit in your inventory. The only thing I'd suggest banking is your best in slot stuff, for high gear score brackets.
I don't think the lycan skin would be a good first choice.
Having no headshot damage reduction is really nasty on wizard, more so than it usually is, lizardman's probably a better alternative if you want a skin that has headgear disabled.
Why carry a drum ? I've seen couple others using squire and have a drum on non bard class ?

The drum is throw at druids when they go into rat form since they die in 1 damage but are hard asf to hit with normal attacks.
So I know what I’m about to ask is a dumb question- is there any way to make a crystal sword melee wizard work at least a little bit? Or am I just going to have to accept that as a sword mage I’ll always just be ass and need to be a god to win even easy fights?

I hate how they forced wizard to just be a melee class outside of pvp. To that end, what are your thoughts on using the quarterstaff instead of the magic staff?
Quarter staff for PVE is not bad at all since they have low physical damage reduction. Mobs do have high magic resist which makes spells unfortunately terrible for them :(
just stick to a crystal sword they literally cost nothing, look for a purple sword with the best weapon damage rolls 18 weapon damage 16-17 magic damage with +2/3 weapon damage rolls and itll 3 hit most mobs

There's currently a bunch of outdated and conflicting information due to the number of iterations this game has gone through over the last year or two, I dont know why and dont care, but as a newer player, finding reliable information and educational content was rly awkward because most suggestions/tips were questionable at best, I saw a bunch of your videos like the zero to gold series showing how to do stuff and Now im in this outdated frame of mind i cant see myself absorbing any of it, It is my suggestion/request that you consider redoing some videos you have that are no longer entirely accurate. Im assuming you're something of a mage one trick? would love to see ranger gameplay if at all possible, either way excited for this games future and subbed.
Yeah man same. I kinda have the feeling that there is a huge lack of people that keep up with the updates of this game. It's so hard to scramble together the stuff you need to know about this game.
If I wouldn't be new to this game i would definately start doing those videos because a lot of new players are frustrated and are looking for that content
So lock doesn't need to meditate and can self heal off a dot, will Wizard get ANYTHING?

yes, circles are gone and now it is all timed with debuffs/dmg occurring as the timer gets closer to zero.

Yeah high roller dungeons are for legendary edition only. No free to play in there. Same with the market he used. Still tons of fun to be had for free though
