About the Pokemon Gym Heroes/Leaders Stadium Set:
Gym Heroes (Japanese: ジム拡張第1弾 リーダーズスタジアム Gym Booster 1: Leaders' Stadium) is the name given to an expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It is based on the first four Kanto Gym Leaders and is also the first set of Owner's Pokemon released and the introduced the Stadium card subclass into the TCG.
This was the first set to feature some given Pokemon on two different cards. While some Pokemon also appeared in two cards in Jungle, Fossil and Team Rocket sets, this was only due to Wizards of the Coast producing non-holographic versions of holographic cards in the set, all other card features being equal. In this set, some Pokemon were appeared in truly different cards, meaning different artwork, attacks, etc. This would become a recurrent trait of future sets.

The classic Gym sets are probably my favourite Pokemon card sets of all time, so much nostalgia with the Ken Sugimori art.
Max better open some more hidden fates. Got some awesome pulls in my openings and I'm stoked to see more of his pulls!

Hey Max, you should take another look at that Rocket's Scyther that you pulled, it appears to have some kind of holo bleed all over the card. That makes it alot more sought after I think.

Always thought the artwork on gym leaders sets was the best. Love the close up shots and proper drawings.
Just gutted I never got to get any packs as a kid and only had random cards of this set. (As stopped collecting up to Team Rocket, then started again at gold & silver, before moving on to yu-gi-oh) so i feel i missed out on the best sets!
Misty’s pose was quite sexually suggestive...
The kanji used for the original pack tags was 円 (en). 円 denotes money in the same way as we use the word dollars though 円 can only be used when talking about ¥ . Ex: 八百円(800 en) vs. 8 dollars

Cool to see the town of Bialystok( my grandparents live nearby) on a japanese card:)
