The way this started was Amy approaching Lzzy when they were on tour together in 2012 and asking to come out and sing backup on this song. They ended up doing it as a duet for the rest of the tour and then when Halestorm decided to include it on their 'Reimagined' EP they invited Amy to come record it finally
wait. break in is an original song by halestorm( album the strange case of) so either i misunderstand you or are you saying that Amy approached lzzy and asked her to sing backup on her own song? Or do you mean just on the 2012 tour that Amy thought f*ck it we're touring with halestorm so let's do this song. what am I missing here?
The Carnival of Madness tour of 2012 was headlined by Halestorm/Chevelle/Evanescence. Amy Lee of Evanescence barely knew who Halestorm was at the time, I DO BELIEVE. Then Amy watched her perform and she was blown away. So they became rock goddess friends and this happened.
And, having seen a couple fan recorded vids of this duet, the execution was awesome. Lzzy solo on keyboards through the long beginning of this song, then, Amy strolls out and starts her part of the duet. Flawless victory. Fans went ape shit.
I get the chills every time the duet starts. I think that type of thing raises your game. You want to perform your best because of your respect for the other person.
Lzzy and Amy have both been doing this for decades...both true professionals. It was Amy that approached Lzzy and offered to do the back up vocals for this song. Lzzy told her she could have half the song...and Amy said no....she just wanted to sing harmony for her. Both women are class acts.
Thank you for reacting to this, I’m glad you enjoyed it! They both have incredible voices. Amy and Lzzy are good friends and also have massive amounts of professional respect and admiration for each other. Amy joined Halestorm on stage to perform this song with Lzzy when they were touring together in 2012, and the fans have been asking for a studio version ever since... and now we finally got it. 😊 I would love to see you react to more of both of them in the future.
Good musicians can go both ways if you leave ego at the door it can beautiful or can go horribly because of ego. Those two together are perfection at its finest
It was All of the above from interviews I've heard them talk about their meeting becoming friends and then performing together. They have girl crushes on each other its very Sweet and pretty hilarious.
Yup,I have just commented about Lzzy doing something with The Warning in the future, then I decided to scroll down and read some comments and saw this. Dany and Lzzy would be amazing together, would love to see Lzzy and The Warning do "Queen Of The Murder Scene" together.
Totally. When Amy mentioned singing together on the song on tour Lzzy said she was like “OMG yes, you take the lead!” But Amy just wanted to do the harmonies & it’s just so perfect. (Reference charismatic voice interview)
They've been singing this together for about 10 years Lizzie sang it on stage and Amy asked if she could come up and sing harmony with her because Lizzie was singing it without Harmony part and after that she continued to do it while they were on tour together and so when she was going to cut it and put it on an album she asked her to come do it with her
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️️Perfect! How amazing their voices sound together!! Goosebumps!!! Great reaction! I am hoping something similar will happen with Daniela Villarreal on tour with Halestorm, sometime when live concerts can resume. Dany would bring her own amazing voice and unique energy and emotion to something like this. I hope it can happen!!
they're also besties in real life too c: they first toured together and met in their 2012 tour and thats where they first started doing this song together. now, currently ( despite the temporary hold on the tour until January ) they're touring together again and have been performing this song live together again. they've also been singing a Linkin Park song together live too which is awesome ( the song is called "Heavy" )
Travis (I know this video is 2 years old, but…) you asked about what it’s like when these two come together and if they’re starstruck by one another. Check out the interview with Lzzy Hale by The Charismatic Voice… at about the 1:04:30 mark, all of your questions will be answered. It’s fascinating.
Your Lovebites reactions are my favorites and I subscribed. I am happy that because of that I have found this reaction to a great duet. These 2 women aka legendary. Fantastic duet. Btw,, I love the blue hair. Greetings from Greece!
I watch you guys on my laptop with earbuds so I hear every little bit of the songs... Lzzy is a great singer, probably the best female in rock/metal right now. She's also an amazing person as are the rest of Halestorm. In 2010 they met a musician who was paralyzed from the waist down and unable to preform anymore and befriended me. We've been friends ever since and I have gone to see them preform almost 40 times before this damn pandemic brought live preformances to a hault. Thankfully we keep in touch through social media. You guys should check out her preformance with Eric Church at the CMA's. They preformed His song "That's Damn Rock & Roll" and she proceeds to blow the roof off the place in truely classic Lzzy Hale Style.
Lzzy and Amy are the best of friends so I'm sure that there is a familiarity there. However, I'm also sure that while there is a "star struck" moment every time that they sing together, they both know where they both need to be, vocally, to blend together, and/or contrast each other............perfectly.
Just thought I'd throw it in there but damn these 2 incredible voices together remind me of Anne and Nancy Wilson from Heart :) To be more specific the song "Alone" :)
Amy Lee does a nice collaboration with the Japanese band the Wagakki band for Evanescence most famous song. Lzzy has numerous collaborations with many artists. Would love for Lzzy and Floor to have a collaboration together as well with Lzzy being arguably the best female rock vocalist and Floor being arguably the best female metal vocalist or atleast the most versatile female metal vocalist.
"Break In" was a song from Halestorm's second album. When Halestorm and Evanescence went on tour together in 2012, Amy joined Lzzy on stage for this song and made it a duet, kind of on the spot. For 8 years, fans were begging for these two to record this in the studio. Finally, for Halestorm's "Reimagined" album, they recorded it. And it will go down as one of the best songs ever, IMO. Great reaction, you two!
Lzzy and Amy are amazing musicians and even more more amazing Human Beings. I've been blessed to meet both of them, individually about 3-4 years apart. and they are SO genuinely and authentically beautiful people. Lzzy, being from Penn, vs Amy from Cali, I would LOVE to see how Lacey Strum (Flyleaf) would match/meld in a heavier song. They all three are amazing singers. Lzzy echoes Parts of Pat Benetar. Amy is very much like Ann Wilson (Heart) actually the both have Ann Wilson-like traits. Amy is so versatile, doesn't matter if she's pairing up with Shaun Morgan (Seether(, Jonathan Davis (Korn) Her vocal range and flexibility is astounding. . Lzzy has a niche' , a firm place that is uniquely "Lzzy" and no one can match. Butt these 2 powerhouses together??!!?? PLEASE! so epic
I love you guys ! On the cell ph.... Loved Evanescence's last record, The Bitter Truth (2021). It'd be amazing if u react to it! Also, recently Lzzy and Amy toured together and they performed this duet along with a cover of "heavy" from Linking Park. The latter features a bananas harmonies from both ladies. Check that out!
There's a vid of izzy in a college, she starts singing while playing the piano, then Amy lee appears, not sure if this was set up or a surprise, but as I say it's in a college.
I have the feeling that women, finally, are the future of rock and metal music. Music have to be all inclusive and more women in rock/metal scene is what’s needed to keep things fresh, interesting, innovative.
Watching this on TV through my stupid phone,as my PC has shite itself - boo hoo ! I hope Lzzy Hale eventually gets to do something with The Warning, now that'll be a collaboration, watching the queen of hard rock, with the princesses of hard rock .
As what i understand, Amy pitched Lzzy to do collab with this song, asking if she can back Lzzy up and do harmony. Hows that!!! Lzzy was just stunned and shocked!! Really love their voice ever since!!!! Really a corner stone of rock bands!! Both of them!!! 🤟
They have been friends for several years now. I think they met at some concert a while ago and friends ever since. I think Lzzy pretty much asked Amy if she wanted to record this with her, and she said yes. Evanescence and Halestorm went on tour together a few years ago, and they are going on tour again together later this year.
Amy Lee´s harmonies is just... fuking perfect. Her collaboration and her voice r better. Freak on a leash, Korn; One day, Bring me the horizont: Broken, Sheter, etc.
I'm gonna keep posting until you react to Plush - Hate!! Moriah Formica is Ann Wilson/Amy Lee/Lzzy Hale rolled up into one. They are currently ranked #3 on Billboard most increased plays. Considering that Amy Lee and Lzzy Hale are her inspirations, you HAVE to hear her!!
Dammit! I've seen halestorm a few times, and live is awesome, but hearing lzzy belting it in studio just hit different! That was incredible! Not many people can hang with Amy Lee the way she just did!
The way this started was Amy approaching Lzzy when they were on tour together in 2012 and asking to come out and sing backup on this song. They ended up doing it as a duet for the rest of the tour and then when Halestorm decided to include it on their 'Reimagined' EP they invited Amy to come record it finally
I was going to explain it basically just like this lol so thank you!! Spot on truth right there.
wait.
break in is an original song by halestorm( album the strange case of)
so either i misunderstand you or are you saying that Amy approached lzzy and asked her to sing backup on her own song?
Or do you mean just on the 2012 tour that Amy thought f*ck it we're touring with halestorm so let's do this song.
what am I missing here?
@@spitfiresoul698 Yeah, I mean Amy asked to sing on it herself, not that she asked Lzzy to sing backup. That would be a power move and a half lol

Lzzy and Amy blend vocally terrific together.
I get the chills every time the duet starts. I think that type of thing raises your game. You want to perform your best because of your respect for the other person.
Yay! One of the best collaborations of 2020, although they’ve sung this together in concerts before, but love this version. Glad you enjoyed!
Lzzy and Amy have both been doing this for decades...both true professionals. It was Amy that approached Lzzy and offered to do the back up vocals for this song. Lzzy told her she could have half the song...and Amy said no....she just wanted to sing harmony for her. Both women are class acts.
2 of the absolute best female vocalist ever. Jesus christ this is beautiful.
these ladies are perfectly fitted with their beautiful voices
Thank you for reacting to this, I’m glad you enjoyed it! They both have incredible voices. Amy and Lzzy are good friends and also have massive amounts of professional respect and admiration for each other. Amy joined Halestorm on stage to perform this song with Lzzy when they were touring together in 2012, and the fans have been asking for a studio version ever since... and now we finally got it. 😊
I would love to see you react to more of both of them in the future.

Watchin on my phone...This song is epic!!! They have been performing it together for a decade but I absolutely luuuuv this studio version!!!
Good musicians can go both ways if you leave ego at the door it can beautiful or can go horribly because of ego. Those two together are perfection at its finest
Lzzy, the best, ever!! No one else , period!!?
It was All of the above from interviews I've heard them talk about their meeting becoming friends and then performing together. They have girl crushes on each other its very Sweet and pretty hilarious.

Yup,I have just commented about Lzzy doing something with The Warning in the future, then I decided to scroll down and read some comments and saw this. Dany and Lzzy would be amazing together, would love to see Lzzy and The Warning do "Queen Of The Murder Scene" together.
There's a great live version of this here on TH-cam from the Stone Pony summer stage in Asbury Park, NJ.
Master class in how to sing a duet
How can so much talent and sexiness fit in one room?
boy, I've got no idea how I ended up here but I'm so damn glad I did. GOOSEBUMPS
Totally. When Amy mentioned singing together on the song on tour Lzzy said she was like “OMG yes, you take the lead!” But Amy just wanted to do the harmonies & it’s just so perfect. (Reference charismatic voice interview)
