  • This month Koreanskt Kulturcenter focuses on Kim Cho-Yeop, one of the best-selling science fiction writers in South Korea.
Her 2019 story collection "If We Cannot Move at the Speed of Light" sold over 200,000 copies, leading her to win Young Writers Award in South Korea.
Kim has also become a rising author in the science fiction literary genre. Her book, "Greenhouse at the End of the Earth (2021)," is a dystopian sci-fi novel set in the far but near future, 2129.
In 2021, Kim published three more books ― anthologies "The World We Just Left Behind" and "Planet Language Bookstore," as well as the nonfiction "Becoming a Cyborg," which won a Korea Publishing Culture Award for its examination of the relationship between disability and technology.
