As a fan of Emma’s artistry this is one of my favorite interviews with her, to date. It eloquently marks the beginning of the next phase of her career and is one of the first truly evolved artistic conversations I’ve ever seen her have about her work and professional interests. Thank you so much for such a beautifully rich and prepared interview with stunning cinematography. Can’t wait to see what’s next for Emma! ❤
I think her next part after this was Murder on the Orient Express. It was a small part but put up against so much talent It had to be, but she held up very, well. Excellent interview.
Phenomenal film, definitely my favorite of the year. I can't get enough of it, I've seen it four times and Emma Mackey is simply stellar in it. The mask scene came out of nowhere and it was SUCH a nice surprise and brilliant addition to the film! Great interview with really good answers!
I always return to this particular interview with Emma because I find it to be the moment her career was at the pinnacle of evolving through her experiences portraying Maeve, then onto Emily, and then Barbie. She has a fantastic career ahead of her.
Went to see this on my birthday, 22/10/2022 at the exact time 20:20 (Everyman). It was a religious experience, I cried 3 times, tears of happiness, loss, wonder and nostalgia for a time that I feel I lived. It was acted and directed so realistically. So many period films have such serious or distant tone and caricature unrelatable personalities, but every role big or small in Emily had depth and likeability. The cinematography, aesthetic choices and stylisation were bold and felt so me! I felt like the film was speaking to me in how often they told Emily to write. The opium scenes were angelic, the teen antics and edginess joyful. The drug use was so refreshing... Why have no period films I've seen ever featured smoking weed, let alone lighting a joint up on the moors? Emma captured Emily's black sheep qualities perfectly. The film truly changed me, I was floating for a week afterwards. It will stand as my favourite cinema experience ever.
Watched Emily last night and I thought it was fantastic. Emma is so talented! Such a beautiful portrayal ❤️ I have always loved the Bronte’s and have read all their books plus biographies 🥰
Love Q… always interesting to hear how an artist approaches their work. All the success in the world EM… stay true to your art… stay uncomfortably comfortable!
She was born in France to a French father and an English mother. She also went to England for university and has dual French-British citizenship; so she's bi-dialectal and bilingual
Sorry (guilt for over contributing?), Tom Power is at his best here. A rare interviewer, who can produce honest reactions on radio. In this case interviewing an actual acting talent.
Margot is also a natural brunette. She just dyed her hair blond because that’s what she was told to do early in her career to get more roles and now she’s just stuck with it. She talks about that in different interviews.
Thanks 4 this kind of interviews Tom. I love when interviewer focuses in their jobs and how character feelings in acteurs filmes. Love best.

i just love her immensely, and how wholehearted she is. i know she will make history.
She's so intelligent, it's really refreshing

This was one of the best interviews you’ve done Tom. Really enjoyed it
She is really fantastic and so eloquent.

Wow this was so wonderfully put 👏

Very interesting interview, Emma is so talented
Funny when in SE, her character Maeve wrote essay about Emily Bronte
Once again, you hit it out of the ball park Mr Power. 👏
The film is great. She is great. I Hope she will win an Oscar.

Emma is also smart like Meave and Emily 😍
Some cool word choices… “essential show for a lot of people”…“alone ibn dealing with“ and “reassuring show”!
Reflective of the entire production. 🤔🤔💭
What a wonderful interview ❤
Emma est adorable et très douée! Vive Emma, vive Maeve et vive Emily!
Emily just made stuff and didn’t have to answer such intense questions from Tom! 😆😅
This woman is mesmerising 🥰
I still cannot grasp how she can speak both English and French so fluently and with perfect British and French accents.
She was born in France to a French father and an English mother. She also went to England for university and has dual French-British citizenship; so she's bi-dialectal and bilingual
It's not such a big deal. There are people who can speak numerous languages (polyglots) perfectly, especially in Europe.
I thought she was great in the film. ..she's insanely beautiful, too. I am looking forward to where her career goes, as well
Maeve is my favorite actor ❤ ♥ 💙 😍 💕 💜 I wish I could meet maeve

Emma ❤❤❤
She describes Emily, in relationship to her family, as "outside looking in." Sound familiar? Sounds, perhaps, like . . . Heathcliff?
She played a very sad and dowdy person in Murder on the Orient Express.
Twin sister of Margot Robbie ))) but brunet. I like Emma, she is definitely more than pretty face ))
Margot is also a natural brunette. She just dyed her hair blond because that’s what she was told to do early in her career to get more roles and now she’s just stuck with it. She talks about that in different interviews.
❤️
I find the film extremely boring and disrespectful to Emily... Emma Mackey is the exact opposite. I'm confused, and I like it.
