I own about 1000oz of Libertads. Was buying them back in 2015, so I have done extremely well. I was told then about the limited mintages.
I just got my 2 oz Coin in, ( plan on doing video on) and glad that I did get at least one of them. Kicking myself for not getting a few more.
At least you still got some 2020s! I always kick myself as well when I miss an opportunity, but there will always be more! Merry Christmas Sal and have a big for me!

The 2 oz were the ones with low mintage. The rest were average. I was a dummy who didn't get the 2 oz.
I did get a 5oz in the mail last week. APMEX sent it in a capsule. Bonus!

Great video Sal, I haven’t received mine yet, I ordered a couple 1oz and 2oz Libertads. That 5oz coin is pretty cool, I almost ordered one but then opted for the 2 ouncers instead. I wish I bought more 2 ozt Libertads on the first day of release and maybe even some proofs, oh well. We’ll get ‘em next time. 😉

Monument metals for sure had the best prices!! I believe that’s why their 2020 libertad inventory sold out in less than 1 hour. I was able to get a variety of sizes but not 2oz. I had them in my cart and they ran out of stock before checking out! Some online dealers had them for over $10 over spot... Monument metals never inflate their prices...

Thanks for posting! Have occasionaly seen Libertads for good prices on the secondary market at my LCS. I actually thought I had picked some up at some point - but looking over inventory I see the only modern Mexican silver pieces I still have are 1948 Cinco Pesos, and some '68 Olympic stuff.

The libs are definitely highly sought after.. especially this year. Missed the 2 oz monument deal.. probably will pick it up from the secondary market now
At least you got some of the Libertads Sal! I ordered just the 1 Oz ones, paid by CC so I could dispute it if they didn't arrive, and am still waiting for them to ship out. I figured it would be cheaper that way because I wasn't charged sales tax where as all the other sites charge tax based on my state's insane taxation on PMs! It's been a crazy year and PMs have been no exception. At least we all have PMs because I think we're going to need them in the future based on our crazy world!

Just bought one ounce and 1/2 ounce on JM Bullion minutes ago...
I feel like buying PM's now would be like purchasing PM's in 2011 & 2012 knowing the price would eventually go back down to $14.00/oz. I'm waiting this out for now. I haven't made any purchases since June and I'm willing to stay out of the market for as long as it takes. However, I can totally understand the collector side of you wanting those coins in your collection.

The premiums to get any of the 2020 Libs make it hard to pull the trigger, I had the same problem as you trying to justify a purchase! At least you grabbed some and that's good!

At least you bought some. I always struggle between buying for collector resale vs. buy for investment in silver in general. I share you struggle. It's so much fun to collect vs. invest. That said, I always tell myself that since my time horizon is 10-20 years I'm not sure with inflation that collector coins will command that much more of a premium when silver is selling at $600 per ounce. Perhaps you can do a video on you thoughts on this?
Wish I would’ve gotten the full fractional set as well. I can’t believe how well those and even the proofs have done. But I’m not complaining mind you.

Yeah, the old style Libertad has that old-time treasure look to it, feels chunky in the hand, and has awesome edge lettering.
They fixed what wasn't broken, for sure.

I really like the Libertad. But, I only pick them up from my LCS or I’ve found a few in my local Pawn shops. I found a 1/2 onza about a week ago.
LOL, the Tads sold out so fast at Monument! I missed out on their offering. But I did get a great price at MCM on the 1 oz. I too would have liked the 2 oz. Prices went crazy on the right away. Ah well. Win some, lose some.

I too bought from monument Metals when they first came out and indeed it was a very fair price!!
Will take delivery on Monday of my 1st Libertad price per oz always stopped me previously. Just paid 166 for a 2 oz.
I did good I got the half ounce libertad from monument metals right after I ordered that I get a notification from apmex got the 1oz from them with the low mintage on the half ounce not bad
You have always stated the rule not to buy more than one can afford. We have all felt this way, and beat ourselves up when we bought low, and should have bought more. Beating ourselves up is like the Yin and the Yang, like the Code of the Mandalore, “It is the way.” I know that Sal bought just the right amount, and the point is you actually bought!

I don’t collect Libertads but purchased one 1oz coin just to have an example. Order placed August 15th, 2020 on eBay and still nothing. I contacted them six weeks ago and seller said still coming. 🤔 That was my big Libertad mistake, Sal!

They offered a refund six weeks ago but assured me the Libertad was going to arrive on their end within two weeks. I’m as patient as an oyster. It’s a gift and a curse. I think I’ll contact them today and request a refund. Thanks, Sal!

I've been steadily stacking libertads. Got x13 1oz BU 2020 & 2020 2oz RP! I got a 1/10oz gold, & a 2021 1oz Proof on the way. I will be picking up 1998s & 1999s 1oz lined up to purchase next month! Then it's back to stacking more Mercs & 10oz bars there to balance cost average afterwards and add more bulk weight at a lower premiums.

Still a great score and you got to love the 1/2 oz. P.S. If you watch Jeff Burwick's video where you see that the hospital and running 24/7 chimney was all B.S. He asks the local store owners if there had been more activity then usual and the response was always no. There was even a undertaker across the road and the response was no.

Salivate Metals I did my research and the fractional bullion has a lower mintage than an 1oz, 2oz, or higher and the same goes with gold.

It's strange, the libertads actually look more of a yellow silvery hue compared to the philharmoniker for instance, which has more of a blueish teint, it's all the same 999 silver but somehow it's like the silver adapts to the energy and the identity of the country and looks different

I think 300,000 is a very high mintage. Perth Mint Koala's have a 300,000 with a different design every year. The 2 oz is probably the only winner at issue price. After the hype!!
