- Hello guys and welcome to my channel,
Today I am back with my beautiful East/West Strathberry bag. I have bought this bag in January 2021, meaning I have had this bag for a little over two years. Since then I have uploaded a video reviewing it in may 2021 and a what's in my bag video.
But I have come to realize both of my previous videos have been missing one information. How does it wear? Meaning how well does the bag last? How does it hold up over time? And is the quality really worth the price? I have most definitely loved and worn my bag a fair share during that time so therefor will it show?
In todays video I am going to try to answer all of these questions.

When investing in quality leather products like shoes, boots, belts, coats, and handbags, it's definitely worth it to invest in both the Saphir Renovateur and Saphir Pommadier Cream Shoe Polish. I always condition my leather right after purchasing, and whenever I notice any fading, I apply the polish. This extra bit of TLC has made a huge difference-all my leather items age beautifully.
Thank you, that is a great suggestion! I do have the Saphir products at home to keep my shoes nice and shiny but I have not yet thought of giving my bag a once over. I will definitely do that!! Thank you again :)
There's NO way any bag will not show wear or get dirty after constant use after a couple of views. Good job explaining.

This kind of review is so helpful. It sounds like you wear it a lot, in which case I guess the wear is reasonable, for that smooth leather. Though the dye seeping through sounds like a quality issue. I don’t think that’s a normal occurrence. I’m glad you’ve thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thanks for your review! I have the mini East West. I do like it. I got another different style bag and importunely the stitching and glazing was not up to standards. Being from the US, that was an interesting return process, but the customer service I dealt with was lovely. I was sure to send pictures and follow their directions for a free return.
Oh that is very interesting to hear! What other kind of bag (apart from the East/West Mini) did you buy? I can imagine how difficult shipping is from the US but it is great to know that the customer service team is so helpful. Thank you so much for your comment!

Did you also have discoloration issues with the gold hardware over time? I love the look of the bag but really hate hardware discoloration problems.

Personally id send it back to strathberry. They offer a repair and aftercare service. Id personally let the professionals take care of it given they made it in the first place!

The problem with this bag is that you can't put anything in it due to the division in the middle. I was extremely disappointed when I received my bag in person and found out how small the divider makes the inside of the bag. I read the measurements and all bags around this size that I have owned I could fit all my stuff into. Not this one. The whole inside is warped just from shoving in my small wallet and there's a dent on the flap somehow. For this reason, I regret getting the tote. I'm sure it's a lot better. People aren't kidding when they say this is just an evening bag.
Yes you are right, it definitely doesn't fit a huge amount of things. For me it fits just the essentials, which in my case is everything I need, but I guess that entirely depends on how big your essentials are and what you need in your day to day life. Thank you for your video ! It's one of my dream bag. I find very sad that the gold kind of peels of.. Is it possible to remove the bar and regold it ?
I am glad you enjoyed the video. It really is a beautiful bag and a pity the the gold isn't that durable. Probably, if you go see someone with expertise with leather goods (for example a shoemaker or a "handbag clinic" maybe) you could get the bar removed. You can't take the bar of yourself because the way it is fastend the small curved bars holding the big bar are on the inside sandwiched between the outer leather and the inner leather, so for you to remove the bar, you would have to open the two layers of leather to get to the bar. It is a bit tricky to be honest and probably also a bit expensive.

Girl you have a potential of being a great influencer. I hate when people stacked 1000 bags in the wardrobe and make a review on wears and tears in a year. The bag probably sat in the closet for a year. What’s there to review. However, you need to learn some heavy editing skill. You’re talking way too much unnecessary stuff that absolutely nobody cares about. Nobody cares why you have a laptop there. Get to the point fast and you will get a ton of views.
