i feel like when a band and there music was there for you when all others were not and everything was just despair and emptiness a bond is formed . never to be broken. that was about 15 years ago and although i don't need you so much these days its nice to know you will always be here. thank you for everything.
August was the month I got married, in 1996. This song means alot, Not to my hubby, but to my life in general. Loved it then, and love it still. This makes for a great tribute song. RIP Heath Ledger.
i'm a huge fan of bayside, and "a long december" just so happens to be one of those songs that takes me back...insanely nostalgic...so this combination is excellent!=) god save the nineties. and bless the now..
agree^^ it was on no real main album, it's from the compilation "Dead And Dreaming: An Indie Tribute To Counting Crows" it also appeared on the japanese edition of self-titled
Listen to the song Winter and tell me ant can't write a song! I love this song and it has such a huge meaning for the band after beatz died, kind of ironic, the smell of hospitals in winter.
I love this cover its way better than the original; the original singer sounds raspy like he swallowed sand paper. And its one more day up in the Canyon...thats what i did before i left Cali :( love this cover, brings me back to the beach, canyon, and sunshine when I need it most.
I grew up to Counting Crows. So of course I will say theirs is better. The feeling and emotion that he puts into the song no one can compare to. But still bayside has done the best cover I've heard by far.
just because a band covers a song dosnt mean they dont have originalty, and this does sound different. besides they have great lyrics and great meoldy. though nither bayside or counting crows is the best band ever. thats all pink flopyd baby, WOOOOOOO!
I personally like the Bayside version better than the original... Anyone who's taken a modern music history class knows that some of the best hits of all times were covers. Example: Hound dog by Elvis was a cover.
Bayside is great, saw them in Arkansas in 06, love'em, but this is nowhere near The Crows. Maybe I'm just partial to the orginal, but even the Crows' acoustic versions are much better. Not a bad cover, but I will stick to "Masterpiece" from B-side, and for this song the Crows.
Its a great song, good version of the song, however I am forced to agree that this band won't make a song as good as this. But I hope they do, we need some good songs that really stick out.
god i love this song so much, Bayside did a great cover. Counting Crows will always be good, and So will Bayside.

Love It!!!
I know it was done by Counting Crows first, but I love this version a lot more.

i love CC but this version is so much better.
how can a band HIDE behind riffs and harmony when thats their music? i can still hear everything.
@randomzoonerd Me too! They're kind of out of place on the listing so far, but I'm excited.

Linkara brought me to this song :)

Their old drummer :( he died in a car accident after a show a couple years ago, I'm pretty sure they were all in the car/van.. it's sad.

You need to use a different font. It's so hard to read if you're dyslexic.
It’s hard to read if you know how to read*
Im gunna see them at warped tour any body els?
@eclip13tical kewl story
Bayside is way better than Counting Crows, but that's just my opinion, we all have them so I could care less what you people think of my Anthony!
Its a great song, good version of the song, however I am forced to agree that this band won't make a song as good as this. But I hope they do, we need some good songs that really stick out.
They definitely made it their own, but some of the harmonic guitar work really ruined the atmosphere of the song, at least in my opinion.
Actually no
im not a fan of this cover
wow, this is terrible
