I was thinking about why I don't have many in my stack. Well, it's pretty simple, really, but here I talk about it for 10 minutes. Then, of course, I show some sick Anerican muscle hotwheels at the end. Enjoy.

I hear you, although the premiums have come down a lot recently, it might be a good time to buy a tube of eagles, but all in all I prefer a 10 oz bar. 🐊

I got my first ASE's a few months ago. I bought a tube. Just got 4 more tubes a few weeks ago. Don't see myself buying anymore. I'll stick with Maples.

I just dollar-cost-average, so when the premiums went up, I just ended up buying a lot less because the amount of money I would buy with simply purchased less. When you DCA, your average cost per ounce tends to stay low without having to watch the price. Government minted coins make up 16.5% of my overall stack. They include ASEs, Libertads, Maples, Britannias, Philharmonics, and Krugerrands. 85% of my government minted coins are ASEs because I'm an American, but I have a little of everything. The premium for Eagles went from $42 per ounce down to $30 for 2023s and $28 for older non-BU ASEs. I think Eagles are beneficial to hold, probably better than merely holding rounds, but having a variety of Silver is best. I tend to avoid on-line buying, unless it's from a respected dealer, and most of my Gold & Silver is ultimately purchased in cash through local coin shops, antique stores, consignment shops, pawn shops, etc... Harder to find deals at some of those places, but I always look, especially when prices are fluctuating. I don't recommend anyone ever purchase off of Ebay. Also, you may not be aware of this, but as far as I know, there are NO REPORTING REQUIREMENTS when selling sovereign coins like the ASE, whereas if you're selling 1,000 troy ounces or more in generic rounds or bars, there is a reporting requirement. There are even reporting requirements on $1,000 or more of face value Constitutional/Junk Silver. Point being, there are some advantages to owning government minted coins. For a long time I wouldn't pay the premium for eagles. I bought a lot of maples instead. Now that premiums are more reasonable on eagles, I'd like to get as many eagles as I have maples. I went to my LCS today and bought a tube. Spot was 23.02, and I paid 26.79 per eagle. Not bad.....

I have a stack of ASE 1986-2005 and the sole purpose is not for me but will be passed down for family tree generational wealth. Bars and rounds will be used for my discretion when I retire.

I doubt that I will ever buy any ASE's. They are not very artistic, and usually way overpriced. If I were to buy them at spot, then maybe.
