Ok so I have a theory, when stubble broke reality, what if that was the reason the rift opened allowing the hermits to cross? What if she unleashed the evil that is haunting the mangrove from another dimension opening the rift for the hermits? Just a theory

@@JazooksYT Little insulting to everyone else on the server when you put Jimmy in the running for the second most lore. He's said before that he put very little thought into his lore -- The entire story is he found a hat, now he's the Sheriff, and there's nothing more to it.

I have a rather unlikely theory, but it’s still a theory so who cares. Maybe there are *two* spirits sending her messages. There seemed to be messages that were very threatening, then there were messages that were trying to warn her. Perhaps the threatening messages were the Evermoore spirit, and the other… I’m not entirely sure, but maybe it was Saint Pearl? The same problems have been occurring with False, too. But that seemed more of a sleepwalking self sort of thing.

Sorry I am late, but what happens if the spirits that are sending Shubble (Shelby) the messages are not in fact the Witch council, but future Shubble telling past Shubble, warning her of what could happen in the future. It's just a theory, I might be wrong. But that's what I assumed.

I have some interesting news or lore on ratsmp, I know you haven’t cover it yet but this is quite interesting! I’ve js found out about Martyn’s rats smp Halloween stream, and the voices or if you want to call it a “spirt” he freed, it seems pretty interesting and I think you could make a good theory of it! There’s been deadly fungal growing and weeping angels, it’s only been shown on his POV tho, watcher lore? 🤫
I mean… in a lot of tales witches are shown to live for ages. But only a few hundred years or so, but maybe the do live for milenia.

I am pretty sure someone else thought about this but, do you guys remember the huge amount of mannequins/armor stands in Shubbles base? And one armor stand with the Wardens head if i remember correctly. The rest of them running away from it.
What if that was symbolizing the whole skulk/corruption spreading that is happening now. And that absurd amount of armor stands is both the empires and hermits together?
Btw, I don’t think that the idea of gem being Shelby’s grandma is true, bc on one of Shelby’s videos I commented about it and Shelby replied saying: “considering season 2 takes place thousands of years later I doubt that, but good prediction!”

I think that it’s very possible for Shelby to be Wizard Gems Great Granddaughter as (even tho this could mean nothing) they both have huge hats and that could be some sort of trait that Gem has passed down.
The fog seems to have some sort of intelligence
that pursues its dark goals with vile malevolence.
We need another video to recap her new episode, she made a bunch of lore and hinted at Shrub still being alive and I'm just so cunfused

I have a theory, so when Grian in episode 25 he asked grumbot about what's wrong with the Rift and grumbot told that " That universe is not on my data." Because there is no grumbot there. So now as Grian has built a grumbot in the empires smp then that means now grumbot in the hermitcraft smp has the data about empires and the portal is linked to it. Now I wonder will they be able to jump from hermitcraft to empires and vise versa when ever they want to????🤔🤔🤔

Here’s a theory ( SPOILERS FOR SHUBBLES LATEST VIDEO ) : What if the fog in the mangrove is caused by xornoth, what is the evermore used to be the undergrove, the gnomes are extinct in season 2 and at the end of season one shrub left to go try and find the other gnomes, what if shrub and the other gnomes got back peacefully, but xornoth got free ( or something like that ), and made the gnomes extinct once again, then my theory is, Great witch Shelby is the reincarnation or Shub, or Shub’s spirit is with great witch Shelby’s

I have a theory. In joel’s recent episode there was sculk on the entrance of a couple small caves. Maybe the thing in the evermore is something that originated from the deep dark and on top of having cub place soul lanterns in every empire it had cub place some sculk in joels empire. Maybe the thing has something against god or joel. What if joel imprisoned it in the evermore to sleep and since shelby had settled there it is starting to wake up, very angry against the gods and more specifically joel. just a theory

You kinda missed a fairly good rhyme. You should have said: ‘though they asked her to hand over her wand and pointy hat, shubble threw the letter into lava. She was not going back.’ Not listen to any of that is fine for the last part it feels a little drawn out.

What if the fog is something similar to the one in joey's season 1 empire?
Shubble is the true villain of the season. While searching for magic power she settles in a swamp inhabited by a malevolent spirit that wants to be set free. She is kicked out of the academy for "accidents" (or dark experiments). Then a portal open bringing the Hermits, she lures one into the fog and now Cub is possessed and spreading the skulk. And all through this no other witch has appeared to stop her. It's as if she and the spirit made a pact to work together. The Spirit is free and Shubble is left alone to pursue power and knowledge that some would deem unnatural

Interesting how so many people have been consumed by the fog, yet Shubble's been safe for so long even wandering through the swamp alone
Eeeehhhh that theory only works if you actively ignore how Witch Shubble has been characterized (I mean, she felt guilty to the point of having nightmares over her accidental transformation of Sausage, I *highly* doubt she'd actively make a deal with a clearly malicious force she's repeatedly warned people against). If the fog is benefiting from anything she's doing, I think it's safe to say it's purely by accident as a result of Shelby's general bumbling. And considering how the whole Cubfan possession situation recently played out in Pixelriff's video (and especially how possessed Cubfan reacted to the suggestion of getting Shelby), I think it's safe to say that whatever force took hold of Cub (a force that's either is the fog, or is strongly tied to the fog) does *not* like Shelby. She's not a villain. At worst she's a completely accidental antagonist who unwittingly and unwillingly benefited the real villain (whatever the fog is).
@@jacintacapelety9600 A guilty mind can actually reenforce the slow fall to darkness, a need to become more powerful to prevent such things from happening again. This was also earlier in the season, and she has progressed since. It is interesting though that when Cub was...changed... she did not really investigate to take really any action until Cub had drawn a great deal of attention and she was confronted directly, at which point she was suddrnly very eager to help. I also find it interesting that her potions just happened to work on curing Cub the first time, no research or adjustments and with no ill effects at all, as if she had known exactly what to do in advance. I also noticed she hasnt warned people as much and said nothing to Ren at all after the Cub ordeal
@@onehopeofthedoomed Ignoring problems and hoping they go away on their own because she's scared of facing such things is a recurring theme for Shubble (I mean, remember how she responded to the threatening signs that someone, presumably the fog, had been leaving? She was desperately trying to convince herself everything was fine because she was scared of facing the alternative). But she also cares about remaining in good standing with the other members of the server and being friends with them (minus Joey, since he broke their truce for no apparent reason), and when Pix and False approached her for help, they had a lead on a specific way she could help, so it's not like she knew exactly what to do on her own. It was another case of her flying by the seat of her pants with a lucky bit of help to guide her, and bumbling into the solution (note that they still can't be sure exactly what it was that cured Cub because they literally just threw *everything* at him, so it might have just been the cocktail of potions in general, or it might have been some specific potions that were in the mix). And again, possessed Cub seemed actively reviled by Shubble, saying "not the witch", which was a large part of the reason they approached Shubble for help. Shubble might be too scared to act on a problem for her own sake, but she feels compelled to help with problems her friends approach her with, because at that point it's no longer about just her (although, to be completely fair, there is a little bit of wanting to maintain a positive reputation mixed in there due to her feeling rejected by the witches' academy and wanting to find acceptance elsewhere). And as her most recent video shows, she'd only barely been made aware of exactly what Cub had started doing to the server when she was approached for help. As for the idea that guilt could drive her down a darker path, notice how, after she spoke with Sausage and he reassured her that he had changed back and he wasn't upset with her, it eased her conscience at least enough that she didn't get any more nightmares. As long as she has friends, I don't believe she'll turn on them. Like I said before, at absolute worst, she's not a villain, just an accidental antagonist who bumbles into causing problems just as frequently as she bumbles into solutions.
