Recipe for Rusting metals:
2 C Hydrogen Peroxide
4 TBSP Vinegar
1 1/2 TSP Salt
(recipe can be cut in half or doubled or even tripled to suit your rusting needs)

I prefer rustic style without the "dirt". 😆 I like it a bit distressed, frayed, coffee dyed, etc but not in excess. I try to pick fabrics that already look rustic and "old" rather than inking them. I also like to add patches and to sew with irregular stitches. I don't sew myself but i have someone who does it for me. I design, cut the fabrics, assemble the pieces, select the threads, all the embellishments and the type of stitches and this lady - who does wonders with her sewing machine- puts everything together for me at super convenient prices. I'm telling this because not being a sewer shouldn't be a problem if you really want your crafts to be sewed and not glued. Not to mention that the finishing is way more high end. Agree with comments about too much “grunge”. I would also add that some of the primitive is really too abstract for me. Wish I could describe that better.

I LOVE LOVE your Primitiveness. This Gingerbread Man is just sooooo Adorable. It looks very expensive, very high end or hard to make and it isn't. I bet you would get a faint smell of coffee too, BONUS. This would be High End though, if you bought in a store, it would never be made this good or have all the Great extra care you add. I love it! I have an "authentic" old small cookie sheet from my mother's OLD kitchen things that she no longer used, but saved for me to "do something with" as she says. This would be perfect!

I made several of these last year very similar to yours I think my gingerbread man was wooden. I added cookie cutter and cinnamon sticks. Love yours.

Love it! I made something similar. I found bread pans and muffin pans grunged for me at Goodwill!! LOL! The recipe card looks like ones in my recipe box!
