- The One Light is the worst keyboard I have ever owned. I paid $200 USD for it.
This is about the keyboard, not the app. The keyboard is the focus.
It only has twenty (20) inbuilt tones, which are below average in quality. It has an on/off button, a volume knob, a tone button, and a sustain button.
You must turn the volume high and press the keys very hard to get sound.
There is no inbuilt demo song. There are no inbuilt songs at all. There is no inbuilt lesson. The keys do not light.
You must buy a smartphone or tablet at extra cost, at least $100.
It will not connect to a computer or DAW without access to the functions via a tablet or smartphone.
You don't have full access to the keyboard until after you create an account and log in and connect a tablet or a smartphone to the keyboard via the internet.
You are subscribed for only six months, after which you must pay for full access to your own keyboard.
Even with full access via the mandatory internet connection, the keyboard still functions below average.
With the keyboard at $200 and a tablet or smartphone at $100, you are looking at $300 total cost.
This is not a $300 keyboard. It's a money scam. It's fraud for money.
It discourages young people from getting into music, a steals money from poor people.
The only thing good about The One Light keyboard is it's pretty to look at.
Instead of this, I suggest you buy a Casio LK-S450 ($300) or a Yamaha EZ300 ($300).
I might disassemble The One Light keyboard and use it in some of my robotics experiments.
