Any thoughts?
Both so different that it's hard to pick an outright winner. Leaning toward the structure of Team B. Few small changes like the GK to a 4.5m and Laporte to Zinchenko might free up enough funds to bump up Giroud or Origi to Wilson/King. The biggest concern in general is whether to start the season without Salah. This will require even more cuts like the bench to strengthen your starting XI. That's my strategy, but it is risky and not necessarily better, just different.

Excellent overall. Zinchenko should start GW1, but Man City signed a defender Cancelo from Juventus. Don't know what Guardiola has in mind for rotation with his fullbacks this season. I'm dropping Zinchenko in my team, but it's up to you because he should start initially. Everyone else is perfect, top team 👍

Prefer Wilson. KDB is a tough decision. I prefer Sterling as the main Man City attacker, but that doesn't allow for Kane while keeping balance in the squad. It's very close between KDB and Siggy, but having Man City attack cover could be crucial. If you could squeeze KDB+Siggy, it might be even better. Strong team overall with the strategy of Salah+KDB+Kane. It does require a weaker starter, Dendoncker, but he is the best of the weakest and can surprise us this season. Think he is underpriced by FPL. 👍

I would prefer the first team idea with Salah, KDB and Kane (plus Wilson). It has more balance and less weak points because KDB is cheaper than Sterling. But, it's not an easy decision because I prefer Sterling over KDB! I have a new video tomorrow with new ideas, hope it can help. Thanks for the comments.
First time doing FPL. What you think of this team. GK. Henderson. Def. Bassika, dunk, walker, vandijk, Mid Fraser,martial. Perez, Bernardo Silva. Fwd aubameyang, rashford, origi. Looking at getting Salah or sterling and possibly ndombele.
GK+DEF are set. Bernardo is such a difficult player to rate because he can do well as long he is starting regularly. Origi could be ok for now, and it would be harsh if he was dropped on recent form, but he could lose his starting spot soon. It's close to set for this week. Just the notes on 1-2 players and working out a plan to bring in the players you want without damaging transfer hits.

KDB+Kane is a great combo... the concern I have with Kane is Trippier being off to Atletico, he was the best at crossing to Kane. And Son being out could mean more pressure on Kane to score on his own. But if I end up without Kane, I'll be sweating GW1 when he plays Villa
The only reason people would have triple captained Mane over Salah is if they didn't have Salah. Stats can be brilliant, sites like understat showing xG and xA can give the edge over lots of players. I remember a few years ago King went on an insane run and I got him just before because I saw he was underperforming but you shouldn't trust them blindly, I agree on that. Vardy scored something like 11 goals in 13 games under Rodgers, would be silly to discount him. Pulisic wasn't added because he was on loan at Dortmund. Sometimes promoted clubs can be great value (Doherty and Jimenez come to mind from last year). But this time they seem to expensive. Look out for the Sheffield United defence though. I think it's worth mentioning setting up your team for the first few weeks and than early wildcarding. It is probably the best and most popular strategy for lots of reasons.
All top advice, great points. 👍 Stats are great, the video was more of a warning in case some misuse stats for the wrong reasons, like benefiting their own team. I may still get Vardy as mentioned on the video, just burned by his red card 60min into his debut on my team last season. Official FPL were definitely caught out on Pulisic! I’m kidding. There is great value in newcomers, although I will still avoid them initially. Agree on the early Wildcard and most of your points 👍

Do you have only 10 starters? It might be a defender based on your formation... Quality players in your team core. Don't know enough about Ndombele to give a proper assessment. I would suggest having at least one 90min regular on the bench. Plus the note on how many starters you actually have. Either way, you're not far off already 👍

Hi. Laporte might have an injury and could miss the Community Shield, need an update. Everyone else is close to perfect. My start-of-season strategy uses players I already know can deliver points in FPL, so I would suggest Jota and Zaha. But your other choices are promising picks to consider. You've built a squad with safeguards against strong FPL managers, so it's up to you whether to take a chance with a unique pick or two. At the moment, I'm aiming at a safer strategy in the beginning to reduce the risk of falling behind early on. 👍

I ended up making a couple of minor changes: Pope (McGovern) Ake TAA Robertson Laporte (Kelly) Sterling Salah Sigurdsson Pulisic (Dendoncker) King Jota (Greenwood) I do agree with the idea of sticking to proven players, but my only reservation for Zaha was depending on his mindset after being rejected his transfer to another club and if it will impact his performance. I chose Pulisic initially because he’s looking like Chelsea’s main goal threat. Also, I had put Ake in to lower the cost to upgrade to Jota and make use of Bournemouth’s good fixtures in the first few rounds. I will definitely monitor Laporte, however, and if I need to change I will put ederson in goal most likely to avoid getting hurt by Pep’s rotations.

I like this unique structure with Kane up. You have a solid foundation with Robbo, Digne, Salah, Zaha, Sterling, Pogba, Kane. Then it's whether to take a chance on players from newly promoted teams, or try to squeeze in more players we already know can deliver points in FPL. That could require cuts, which won't be easy. Salah+Sterling+Kane digs deep into the budget. If you went with KDB instead of Sterling, it allows more balance. But I prefer Sterling also! Consider drawing up an extra draft with more depth, but keep your idea to compare.

Love this team. Your structure gives flexibility like your idea with Zinchenko/Laporte and Brooks/Zaha. Or VVD to Robertson... So many options, all strong. I'm still undecided on Zinchenko because I want to be sure he will start every game, at least until Mendy is back. I also have PVA for that 5.5m spot, which might be cool as cover for Zaha (assuming he stays at Palace). Another factor is ownership stats with strong FPL managers. Overall, top team 🔥

Love it. You have such strong safeguards in your team with the right core of players, that it allows for a differential in your weakest starting spot. One idea might be to bump Ederson to a cheaper player in order to upgrade the weakest starter, but that's optional. Top team 👍

Yes, absolutely. Our fixture cheatsheet is different from the FPL website's "FDR" which groups attackers and defenders in the same category. Wan-Bissaka has one of the worst starting schedules against difficult attackers, while Liverpool attackers have by far the best fixtures against weak defenses until GW5. Your picks are all excellent individually, it's whether going without Salah will pay off when strong FPL managers captain him the first few games. Smart rotation system, wish you the best of luck 👍
PVA is high on my list at 5.5m, harder to trust someone below that price point. When I can’t find someone I trust, I put in the best cheap option I can find, then use the extra funds to upgrade a different position.

uclan that’s interesting. Last season I used Team IDs of the popular FPL influencers who are also strong managers. Their decisions in the FPL Community can impact thousands of players, so I like being aware of the damage it can cause to my team. I use the expert’s Team IDs as that information is public when they enter mini-leagues.

Strong overall. Think Ritchie might've picked up an injury today, possibly his hamstring. Don't know if Emerson is completely nailed-on, or if he'll share starts with Alonso. Individually, there is no issue with your attackers. The main question is whether to go without Salah in the beginning because of his high ownership and captaincy stats with strong FPL managers. If he scores, you risk falling behind good competitors early on. Can see your idea with Firmino for cover though... Just the notes for the defense and whether you want to draw up a draft with Salah to compare. But without Salah, the structure of your team is strong, especially the attack 👍

Both just shy 100 points last season,noble on penalties with an improving west ham side ,jorginho has been very sharp preseason so expecting more from him this season
Haven't thought enough about Lloris... DEF is perfect 10/10. Noble and Jorginho can sometimes be a bit away from FPL points with their playing style, but penalties might play a big role this season with VAR. Just those two positions to experiment with, maybe trying to squeeze in Zaha for example. 1-2 notes to . consider, but strong core overall. 👍

I've swapped out Zinchenko to PVA. AWB is another good choice but you already have him. Zinchenko should be safe to start GW1 or even longer, so you're ok to keep him for now. Everyone else is set.

The attack is a monster 🔥The defense is light. Consider drawing up another draft with more balance, as strong FPL managers could start with premium defenders in their teams. Then if those defenders score big points, which they have a good chance of doing, you risk falling behind strong FPL managers early on. Defenders like Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, van Dijk, Digne. Just that note on the team balance, hopefully you can save the main core of the attack.

No problem with your players as individuals, the question is whether you should go with Salah or no Salah. After what I saw today in the Community Shield, Salah is the first name on my team sheet and I would recommend others have at least one draft with him in the team. Selecting 3 Liverpool players at the back, means no position for a Liverpool attacker... That's the only note because your current team is strong. Consider using it to compare to a Salah draft. 👍
Wouldn’t recommend having Ryan as sub for ederson, because when are you realistically going to pick Ryan over him? Better having a 4.0 alongside a premium keeper or two cheapish keepers
I'm from your fpl near future - - big at the back was a lot of dogshit. Triple captain Sterling GW1 and swap for Aguero GW3; Gunn in goal, avoid Wolves and obviously dont avoid Liverpool. Buy Pukki, Abraham,mount, KDB, Cantwell, lundstram, vestergaard and Haller as your differentials. I know how this sounds but trust me, I'm from late September. Ps Buy Pukki
You tell me! Haha. I'm currently on the same question as it might allow the final touch in another position. Your team is excellent overall. Small risks on Cathcart and Lamela. Watford's defense is not the easiest to trust, Lamela can be hot or cold. But he does have an opportunity while Son is suspended. Those two minor notes, and a bigger decision on TAA vs. VVD. That last one I need more time to think, so I don't have a concrete answer at the moment. Thanks
Salah and Sterling are key players for the core. But including another premium option like Auba will require at least one or more weak starters. One idea is to make a cut on of those weaker starters in order to make one stronger. For example, you could drop Ceballos to Dendoncker, then bump Ake to Digne. Or you could spread out the funds as you did. That decision is up to you 👍

It's a monster forward line. One concern is whether Aguero is ready to start. He arrived late from the Copa America and did not feature in the Community Shield. Gabriel Jesus came on as a sub instead of Aguero. I would also consider using just one top GK, then, bring in a £4m backup so you can strengthen another position. Milner might not start. Ndidi can be more defensive. Consider a draft with Salah, but it will require dropping one of the forwards.

Thanks, glad you liked it. Seeing teams with Heaton or Pope scares me away from either one, but I'm still looking for the best GK option and can't suggest someone with confidence at the moment. AWB has a few doubts after United's defensive displays last season, but he should improve them, plus Maguire. If strong FPL managers end up agreeing on Zinchenko, he is an option for AWB that provides Man City defensive cover. We'll see who Guardiola starts in the Community Shield as that will give us big clues for who's nailed-on. Small notes on 1-2 players, nothing major. Strong team overall 👍

I don't know. They're so different! I would consider building from both ideas. With Salah. You can also experiment with Firmino's position, for instance drafting in Wilson which allows for an upgrade to Neves, hopefully as high a £6.5m like Ayoze Perez.
Great team core. I would consider an alternate draft that experiments with the players that are not yet proven in the Premier League. By dropping Heaton for a £4m like Button, it allows these options: Current: Boly, Ceballos (Che Adams) Option 1: Digne, Barkley (Greenwood) +£0.5m ITB Option 2: Digne, Zinchenko (Greenwood) The core of the team is excellent to work from.👍

Are you recovering from a hangover with those shades on? :D By the way I agree with you about the stats plenty do not look at body language and the manner of shots in a game. What you are also referring to is 'group think' it is very common in the fpl community. You should improve on your 21k next season. Also I play early transfers to get team value. I also took 72 points hits during the season and my aggressive style saw me sky rocket into the top 8k. Also I focused on the city defence towards the end of the season. It is important to know what the fpl community consensus so then you can decide whether they are correct or not. I disagree with the starting eleven and weak bench idea. Azpilecueta is on my bench until gw 3 and it gives flexibility.
With my schedule, I have to record the videos late at night 😎 Yes, there are different styles of playing that can get you a great rank. For me, it's knowing when to be aggressive and conservative. I made less early transfers to beat prices, but it didn't affect my Team Value. Took around 90pts in hits... just added them up. Great points you made about the FPL Community, I agree with them all. Having a light bench is a risky strategy in the beginning, but you can build a rotation system like yours that can work even better. 👍

GK+DEF are strong. Let's see who the strong FPL managers decide on: AWB vs. Zinchenko for £5.5m at the back. I'm building safeguards like these so I don't fall behind in the beginning. Attackers are also solid, the weakness could be the forward line. I like King, but DCL up front can sometimes be hot or cold and Everton might be signing a new starting forward. Everyone else is perfect, strong team structure, minor tweaks to consider if at all. 👍

Agree with you on Zinchenko, need solid info on Mendy's return date. Jota is a hard one to predict because of the Europa League. We don't know how Nuno will deal with the extra fixtures, meaning possible rotation and less focus in the league. The only Wolves player on my drafts is Dendoncker on the bench, same as you. You already have Deulofeu and going with King for 3x Bournemouth seems a bit risky. Looking great, just the two small notes on TAA and Jota and there's enough time to think it through 👍
Some notes on Rico and Zinchenko. Not sure if Rico is nailed-on in the long-run, but it could work initially. Man City signed a new fullback Cancelo from Juventus and Pep is always tricky with rotation. Consider Dendoncker in for Neves than using that £0.5m to upgrade another starter like Gray to King, or a defender upgrade if needed.

Thanks! Struggling to improve your team. Be sure to keep at least one regular 90min player on the bench. Hopefully Long can help in this aspect. Deulofeu has to play to his potential, can sometimes be hot or cold. I'm currently toying with the idea of just one forward in a 5-4-1 or 4-5-1, just to be sure I've considered all formations and to compare drafts. Your midfield is 🔥

Barry Collins Strong team core. Good balance. Quick notes are KWP as you mentioned will hopefully hold down his spot. Zinchenko should be ok while Mendy is out. Man City’s fixtures aren’t the greatest for their defenders, but they were solid last season defensively. Tielemans has two tricky starting fixtures, but Leicester’s attack is even stronger now. Few minor notes, nothing to change. You’re in great shape. 👍

what are you looking at lol, please look at the camera That aside, you make a good point about dodgy stats, that other guy has been only showing stats from like GW24 - GW38 or something. Its like, well what about the first 24 GWs?? Many companies, government agencies whatever manipulate stats in this manner to get the results they want. Take for instance a shampoo advert where they say 97% of people said their hair looked better after 3 weeks. Then you look at the small print and it says the 97% was taken from a sample size of 362 people, and you're like why 362 people thats so random. Yea because they fiddled the stats to represent the results they wanted. Police do it all the time for arrest/conviction figures as well. Its not that they are lieing but its not a true representation

Johnny Blaze strong core in both teams. Agree with you on Bournemouth attacking cover. I may double down on them. I’d have to choose Salah to start the season. His ownership will be so high that it would be too risky not to have him. Wilson and King could start the season with similar ownership %. Salah and Mane won’t. Boring popular template picks in the beginning worked well last season.

One way to improve that weakest starter would be by downgrading the GK. But Pickford has excellent fixtures, and your team has strong potential as is. Great work, hard to improve it 👍

Using a single incident as prove is also dangerous and not something I think most FPL player would recommend. Lets say you want to a Pool attacker and Mane has good numbers overall. Salah has some good underlying stats. You dont know what player that would capitalise on the good stats. Over time they will maybe performe equal to each other. But one game can be random. You know Liverpool are gonna score some goals. You just dont know who is gonna score them. You are making an educated guess. Just bacause you hit on your triple captain doesnt make you an expert. If you have done this 100 times you would most likely dont get so many points on average. Very few are so good that they can be topp 10 000 year after year. If you have 1x20k finnish it could just as well be a fluke. Most likely youre getting most of the tips from other users.
Aleksander Larsen I’m not an expert. I agree with you that using a single incident as proof is dangerous. I have multiple examples from last season where stats were used by influencers to lead their followers in a particular direction, then I went in a different direction. I can remember Salah during December and Ricardo Pereira as two other examples but there were far more. I have it all documented. Yes, I was a bit lucky with my Triple Captain chip. I was also fortunate to finish 13k, 3x 20k finishes, 54k, 63k, 65k, 78k and some worse ones that I’m not as proud of 👍
@@Upper90studiospodcast im not saying you are not good. And I sayed it could be a fluke. I dont know what kind of "experts" you are listnening to. My experience is that in the long run they will give you points. They are not gonna hit on every tip. Thats impossible. The ones I watch dont give many short term tips because thats rearly a good strategi. They often also tip you of a 2-3 must have players for the next 4-10 games. And then they usually talk about 3-4 options in every position. They dont give you the answer. They give you good options that are not always the "correct one". Several times last season I heard fantasy football scout talk about their choises, that even if they missed on a high value player or a chip they would have done the same thing over. Because the game is also luck. Lets take a hypotetical. Salah has great underlying stats but no goals in the last 4 games. You buy Salah and he dont score in the next match? Is that a wrong move then or do you continue playing him the next 2-3 matches just to see? There is rearly a sure thing in FPL. I triplecaptained Aguero when he had his first double gameweek. He did good in the first on score me some ok points and blanked on the next. Did not get as many points as I hoped but I would have done it again. What influencers are you following?

Especially the point about FPL influencers giving top picks, then it's up to you to make the final choice. 👍 I follow all the popular influencers, without naming names. Some are funny, many have excellent knowledge tips or stats. But my point is not whether their tips are right or wrong. It's to identify the players they are swaying their followers to buy or sell - as a community. If FPL experts say they're captaining Duffy in a Double Gameweek, thousands follow along... and that can do serious damage to my rank. I use their tips not for advice on which player to buy, but to see which players they are selling to their followers so I can't match or beat them with my own strategy. You and I are making different points, and I think you are right on yours. Hopefully we can understand each other.

But the pods I watched wanted to do this to gamble to make up for lost ground. If you are happy with your current position I dont think you will ever do a gamble like this. At least I dont think you should. I think the videos you make is a good addition to all the others. You are not a top tier player but look like you have established your self on second shelf. Think you can provide some good tips to does who want to break in to topp 100k and cant do it on their own.

You kinda touched on this with #10 "Overspending on the Bench at the Expense of Starters" but what is your opinion on a more versatile/rotatable team vs. hitting the big 11 starters and spending whatever is leftover on the bench, not expecting to use them? I originally started with the big hitters (Salah, Sterling, VVD, etc.) and then scooped up the bare minimum for my bench. However I did a mock draft today with a more rotatable and game friendly lineup (15 players from 11 different teams). I shouldn't have to use many or any transfers in the first few gameweeks, can use any of the listed formations, and I think there's a lot of value in single-digit-cost players this season. My first draft for this idea went as such (subject to change): Leno/Schmeichel Alonso, Digne, Robertson, Trent, Zinchenko Fraser, Brooks, Pogba, Felipe Anderson, Ndombele Jota, Vardy, King So, with your experience, is a more spread out squad, like such, beneficial? Or is it better to nail the starting 11 with some double digit men from the Top 6 i.e Sterling, Kane, KDB, etc.? Thanks for the video and hopefully your input into this lineup as well!
Great comment. A squad using well-researched rotating players could be more effective. There are different ways to get to the same outcome, not necessarily right or wrong. I have a few drafts using a rotation system, and may post them on the next video. One of my concerns with rotation is how unpredictable results can be at the start of the season. Anything can happen throwing rotation out the window. Imagine Felipe Anderson playing out of skin GW1 vs. Man City when owners benched him, then he'll blank the next game! I hope not for his owners! :) I like to bet on high-ceiling players such as Salah and Sterling at the start. Captaincy is crucial in FPL, and if we get that wrong, especially when FPL influencers agree on a decision, we can fall behind 15-20 points or more in a single week. Ownership stats with strong FPL managers is a key factor. A compromise could be owning big hitters like Salah and Sterling, then instead of only £4.0m-£4.5m bench players, throw in a quality player in the £6.5m range to rotate with another similarly-priced starter. So the short answer is everything within reason, finding a compromise that works for your playing style. Great reading your comment and ideas 👍
^too hard to guess and it’s more of a headache (especially captains) , then to rotate and alter the right players within your team. One/two stand out big players within the first 4-6 games and your having to sort your full team taking hits to out to incorporate them. The only way I see your strategy working is having a ranged balance and a points spare to get that potential quick starter. However form requires more than the one/two games so a top player in each position can incorporate that quickly for other managers. Sort out your “cheap, but everyone owns” and then have a cheap punt for the outfield positions. Rest of team needs to be of spread higher values.

I should have mentioned this, but the main league I do is a h2h GW set-up which is why I thought to take chances with more mid-priced players rather than shell out a quarter of my budget on Salah and Sterling - who I assume will be in 90% of my competitor's teams, as well as 30-40% of the other FPL owner's. No knocks to either player, they are highly owned for a reason, it just seems like "an easy way out" sometimes. I do feel like, as you mentioned, missing a big captaincy week would hurt tremendously if Salah/Sterling do as they normally do and have a massive week, that could set me back, so I'll have to look at ways to counter that i.e. KDB, Bobby, Silva x2, etc . I think I'll do, as you mentioned, and sort of find my weeks and positions that I could rotate with such as Jota/Deulofeu/Anderson for 20M or in the likes of Leno/Schmeichel where I can avoid the Top 6's offenses for the first half of the season (minus GW 12 where they play each other) and have a good run of home fixtures where more CS are usually picked up. As much as I'd like to have a set and forget Allison or Ederson +$4M bench option, I think there are a lot of points to be had in a position most people tend to overlook with CS + saves rotational value - and at the same price of 10M. Vardy is also looking more and more replaceable by the day with Perez stepping in almost 3M cheaper and with some potential CS points. Bobby and Lacazette also in that same 9M price range (Laca now looks to be on pens *note preseason game vs. RM*) (Bobby/Salah tandem created the second most chances last season, and with Mane's uncertain availability GW1 from AFCON, Firmino could make some noise early on). Again, thank you for the feedback, I'll keep tinkering with my team no doubt, and I look forward to more of your videos!
@@johnroberts8831 I agree, the captaincy problem might take a toll over time. It's starting to look like getting 1 or 2 more expensive but consistent point-getters per position that I wouldn't mind holding onto for 38 GWs, and then going from there, try to find my positions and weeks which rotation could come into play. Now that's all subject to change with fixtures, form and intrasquad rotation, but at least I'll have the money to transfer in someone from the same premium price bracket. What do you mean though when you say "...ranged balance and a points spare..." is that range/balance in teams and positions or more along the lines of smacking those big hitters and then worrying about rotational players and such with the money that's leftover?

Very good content. Injury-prone player is easily searched in google. But, how about "play-style that doesn't suit EPL ?" I agree on Xhaka, I think Mkhitaryan too. Is there another player into consideration in regard to their playstyle? Pulisic had a horrible injury history. That's why I never consider him in my team.
Glad you like it. It's not easy to categorize players whose style doesn't translate into FPL. One clue is if they're defensive midfielders. Like Fernandinho at Man City and Matic at United. They generally do a lot of important hard work for their team, but are less involved in dangerous areas near the opponent's box. Mkhi might be a lack of consistency - that is another way to categorize players in FPL. Watching games is the best way to start classifying players in your mind. Nice tip with Pulisic. He could also have an adjustment period with new teammates, league, manager... We saw last season with Felipe Anderson and Jota becoming quality players in FPL, but Anderson almost didn't make it to 60min GW1 and Jota was subbed at halftime GW2. 👍

Sorry for the late reply. I was working on the GW1 team video which will be ready in a few hours. It’s certainly a risky because one goal ruins the clean sheets for 3 players instantly. But that’s looking at the negative outcome. The positives are great if they continue with their form from last season. The main question might be whether to use up all 3 Liverpool spots on defenders vs. Salah. Salah will have high ownership and captaincy stats with strong FPL managers, so non-owners run a risk of falling behind strong competitors early on. Is it smart? It could be brilliant. But I prefer a safer start-of-season strategy that factors in player ownership % with strong FPL managers. Ultimately it’s up to you because it can work. :)
Good videos! What’s your views on - bellerin, alderweirdeld, Ceballos, awb and Pogba? Also, are you considering the new penalty decision rule? A list of every penalty takers for each team would be handy, could be a big decision maker over certain picks!
Thanks! Bellerin is coming off a serious injury, won't think about him until he returns and plays a few games. Alderweireld hasn't been the same since that contract dispute, one to keep an eye on as he has good potential in FPL. Don't know enough about Ceballos to give a proper assessment, will watch him play a few games before deciding. AWB is a quality player, BPS magnet with his tackles, but United were poor defensively last season. Would prefer to see which United turns up this season, so it's a similar situation with Pogba. Excellent player in FPL, on penalties which could be a factor as you said with VAR, but he's dependent on United's attacking potential. If they're not firing, I won't risk Pogba or any of their attackers. Thanks for the comment 👍
That's what I did for 11 out of 12 seasons, 100% instinct never looking at opponents. But it's getting more difficult to ignore strong FPL influencers on social media because they have a big impact in FPL. I can still make my own choices, but now with some safeguards built in. Still, I respect your strategy.

You have a strong squad if going without Salah, but consider going with cheaper bench options in order to strengthen your starting XI. Another possibly more important decision is Salah or no Salah. He will have high ownership and captaincy stats with strong FPL managers. If he gets the same amount of chances vs. Norwich at home as he did against Manchester City, he has the potential to score 20pts… x2 for those who captain him. Non-owners could be chasing 20-40pts by Saturday morning and it’s against strong FPL managers who won’t drop points easily. Of course that’s looking at it with the expectation of Salah scoring! He may blank as he did in the CS, so ultimately the decision is your to make. Either way, your team a great core to work from. Good luck 👍

Strong overall. A bit top-heavy, but it could work. Holebas could be a legend in FPL with his attacking potential, but he's obsessed with being booked every game :) Going without Man City attack cover is a big decision because of his scoring potential and high ownership with strong FPL managers. Just two notes to keep in mind if you draw up another draft to compare, but use your current squad as a guide to compare because it is strong. I wouldn't want to face off against it 👍

Two good starting fixtures for Leno is a plus. Overall strong team if going without Salah in the beginning. Salah will likely have high ownership and captaincy stats with strong FPL managers, so there's a risk of falling behind direct competitors early on. Small note on Abraham depending on whether he will be 100% nailed-on or share starts with Giroud and Batshuayi. Some ideas could be bumping him down to King, then using the extra £0.5m to push VVD to Robertson or AWB to Digne. Liking your structure, just the main question over Salah, and a few minor notes to consider 👍
Strong overall. Can't go wrong with either King or Jota. I prefer Bournemouth's fixtures and that they're not involved in the Europa League. Even then, it's still close because Wolves can raise their game against strong opponents.

Both so different that it's hard to pick an outright winner. Leaning toward the structure of Team B. Few small changes like the GK to a 4.5m and Laporte to Zinchenko might free up enough funds to bump up Giroud or Origi to Wilson/King. The biggest concern in general is whether to start the season without Salah. This will require even more cuts like the bench to strengthen your starting XI. That's my strategy, but it is risky and not necessarily better, just different.

Prefer Wilson. KDB is a tough decision. I prefer Sterling as the main Man City attacker, but that doesn't allow for Kane while keeping balance in the squad. It's very close between KDB and Siggy, but having Man City attack cover could be crucial. If you could squeeze KDB+Siggy, it might be even better. Strong team overall with the strategy of Salah+KDB+Kane. It does require a weaker starter, Dendoncker, but he is the best of the weakest and can surprise us this season. Think he is underpriced by FPL. 👍

I would prefer the first team idea with Salah, KDB and Kane (plus Wilson). It has more balance and less weak points because KDB is cheaper than Sterling. GK+DEF are set. Bernardo is such a difficult player to rate because he can do well as long he is starting regularly. Origi could be ok for now, and it would be harsh if he was dropped on recent form, but he could lose his starting spot soon. It's close to set for this week. Just the notes on 1-2 players and working out a plan to bring in the players you want without damaging transfer hits.

KDB+Kane is a great combo... the concern I have with Kane is Trippier being off to Atletico, he was the best at crossing to Kane. And Son being out could mean more pressure on Kane to score on his own. But if I end up without Kane, I'll be sweating GW1 when he plays Villa
The only reason people would have triple captained Mane over Salah is if they didn't have Salah.
Stats can be brilliant, sites like understat showing xG and xA can give the edge over lots of players. I remember a few years ago King went on an insane run and I got him just before because I saw he was underperforming but you shouldn't trust them blindly, I agree on that.
Vardy scored something like 11 goals in 13 games under Rodgers, would be silly to discount him.
Pulisic wasn't added because he was on loan at Dortmund.
Sometimes promoted clubs can be great value (Doherty and Jimenez come to mind from last year). But this time they seem to expensive. Look out for the Sheffield United defence though.
I think it's worth mentioning setting up your team for the first few weeks and than early wildcarding. It is probably the best and most popular strategy for lots of reasons.
All top advice, great points. 👍 Stats are great, the video was more of a warning in case some misuse stats for the wrong reasons, like benefiting their own team. I may still get Vardy as mentioned on the video, just burned by his red card 60min into his debut on my team last season. Official FPL were definitely caught out on Pulisic! I’m kidding. There is great value in newcomers, although I will still avoid them initially. Agree on the early Wildcard and most of your points 👍

Thanks! It's an excellent Kane draft, no Sterling. I'm a bit worried about no Trippier and Son for Kane, he will have to do more on his own. For that reason I'm on Sterling at the moment, but I'm also not happy to face your team GW1. The transfer plan also makes sense. Hard to improve it 🔥

Do you have only 10 starters? It might be a defender based on your formation... Quality players in your team core. Don't know enough about Ndombele to give a proper assessment. I would suggest having at least one 90min regular on the bench. Plus the note on how many starters you actually have. Either way, you're not far off already 👍

Good video as as usual man, as many i am stuck in the pre season tinkering. Havin thoughts about king and Calwert Lewin to fit in KDB,siggy,salah,sterling as a mid 4. To heavy in midfield? Havin a back 4 of kwp,TTA,VVD,zinchenko aswell so kinda good cover per million there i think.

Hi. Laporte might have an injury and could miss the Community Shield, need an update. Everyone else is close to perfect. My start-of-season strategy uses players I already know can deliver points in FPL, so I would suggest Jota and Zaha. But your other choices are promising picks to consider. You've built a squad with safeguards against strong FPL managers, so it's up to you whether to take a chance with a unique pick or two. At the moment, I'm aiming at a safer strategy in the beginning to reduce the risk of falling behind early on. 👍

I do agree with the idea of sticking to proven players, but my only reservation for Zaha was depending on his mindset after being rejected his transfer to another club and if it will impact his performance. I chose Pulisic initially because he’s looking like Chelsea’s main goal threat. Also, I had put Ake in to lower the cost to upgrade to Jota and make use of Bournemouth’s good fixtures in the first few rounds. I will definitely monitor Laporte, however, and if I need to change I will put ederson in goal most likely to avoid getting hurt by Pep’s rotations.

I like this unique structure with Kane up. You have a solid foundation with Robbo, Digne, Salah, Zaha, Sterling, Pogba, Kane. Then it's whether to take a chance on players from newly promoted teams, or try to squeeze in more players we already know can deliver points in FPL. That could require cuts, which won't be easy. Salah+Sterling+Kane digs deep into the budget. If you went with KDB instead of Sterling, it allows more balance. But I prefer Sterling also! Consider drawing up an extra draft with more depth, but keep your idea to compare.

Strong draft. The only minor note is Tielemans has two tricky starting fixtures, but their attack seems even more dangerous this year. Tielemans also has more experience now, so it could work. Top team 👍

Love this team. Your structure gives flexibility like your idea with Zinchenko/Laporte and Brooks/Zaha. Or VVD to Robertson... So many options, all strong. I'm still undecided on Zinchenko because I want to be sure he will start every game, at least until Mendy is back. I also have PVA for that 5.5m spot, which might be cool as cover for Zaha (assuming he stays at Palace). Another factor is ownership stats with strong FPL managers. Overall, top team 🔥

Love it. You have such strong safeguards in your team with the right core of players, that it allows for a differential in your weakest starting spot. One idea might be to bump Ederson to a cheaper player in order to upgrade the weakest starter, but that's optional. Top team 👍

Yes, absolutely. Our fixture cheatsheet is different from the FPL website's
"FDR" which groups attackers and defenders in the same category. Wan-Bissaka has one of the worst starting schedules against difficult attackers, while Liverpool attackers have by far the best fixtures against weak defenses until GW5. Your picks are all excellent individually, it's whether going without Salah will pay off when strong FPL managers captain him the first few games. Smart rotation system, wish you the best of luck 👍

PVA is high on my list at 5.5m, harder to trust someone below that price point. When I can’t find someone I trust, I put in the best cheap option I can find, then use the extra funds to upgrade a different position.

uclan that’s interesting. Last season I used Team IDs of the popular FPL influencers who are also strong managers. Their decisions in the FPL Community can impact thousands of players, so I like being aware of the damage it can cause to my team. I use the expert’s Team IDs as that information is public when they enter mini-leagues.

Strong overall. Think Ritchie might've picked up an injury today, possibly his hamstring. Don't know if Emerson is completely nailed-on, or if he'll share starts with Alonso. Individually, there is no issue with your attackers. The main question is whether to go without Salah in the beginning because of his high ownership and captaincy stats with strong FPL managers. If he scores, you risk falling behind good competitors early on. Can see your idea with Firmino for cover though... Just the notes for the defense and whether you want to draw up a draft with Salah to compare. But without Salah, the structure of your team is strong, especially the attack 👍

Both just shy 100 points last season,noble on penalties with an improving west ham side ,jorginho has been very sharp preseason so expecting more from him this season
Haven't thought enough about Lloris... DEF is perfect 10/10. Noble and Jorginho can sometimes be a bit away from FPL points with their playing style, but penalties might play a big role this season with VAR. Just those two positions to experiment with, maybe trying to squeeze in Zaha for example. 1-2 notes to . consider, but strong core overall. 👍

I've swapped out Zinchenko to PVA. AWB is another good choice but you already have him. Zinchenko should be safe to start GW1 or even longer, so you're ok to keep him for now. Everyone else is set.

The attack is a monster 🔥The defense is light. Consider drawing up another draft with more balance, as strong FPL managers could start with premium defenders in their teams. Then if those defenders score big points, which they have a good chance of doing, you risk falling behind strong FPL managers early on. Defenders like Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, van Dijk, Digne. Just that note on the team balance, hopefully you can save the main core of the attack.

No problem with your players as individuals, the question is whether you should go with Salah or no Salah. After what I saw today in the Community Shield, Salah is the first name on my team sheet and I would recommend others have at least one draft with him in the team. Selecting 3 Liverpool players at the back, means no position for a Liverpool attacker... That's the only note because your current team is strong. Consider using it to compare to a Salah draft. 👍

Watford's defense is not the easiest to trust, Lamela can be hot or cold. But he does have an opportunity while Son is suspended. Those two minor notes, and a bigger decision on TAA vs. VVD. That last one I need more time to think, so I don't have a concrete answer at the moment. Thanks

Salah and Sterling are key players for the core. But including another premium option like Auba will require at least one or more weak starters. One idea is to make a cut on of those weaker starters in order to make one stronger. For example, you could drop Ceballos to Dendoncker, then bump Ake to Digne. Or you could spread out the funds as you did. That decision is up to you 👍

It's a monster forward line. One concern is whether Aguero is ready to start. He arrived late from the Copa America and did not feature in the Community Shield. Gabriel Jesus came on as a sub instead of Aguero. I would also consider using just one top GK, then, bring in a £4m backup so you can strengthen another position. Milner might not start. Ndidi can be more defensive. Consider a draft with Salah, but it will require dropping one of the forwards.

Thanks, glad you liked it. Seeing teams with Heaton or Pope scares me away from either one, but I'm still looking for the best GK option and can't suggest someone with confidence at the moment. AWB has a few doubts after United's defensive displays last season, but he should improve them, plus Maguire. If strong FPL managers end up agreeing on Zinchenko, he is an option for AWB that provides Man City defensive cover. We'll see who Guardiola starts in the Community Shield as that will give us big clues for who's nailed-on. Small notes on 1-2 players, nothing major. Strong team overall 👍

I don't know. They're so different! I would consider building from both ideas. With Salah. You can also experiment with Firmino's position, for instance drafting in Wilson which allows for an upgrade to Neves, hopefully as high a £6.5m like Ayoze Perez.

What you are also referring to is 'group think' it is very common in the fpl community. You should improve on your 21k next season. Also I play early transfers to get team value. I also took 72 points hits during the season and my aggressive style saw me sky rocket into the top 8k. Also I focused on the city defence towards the end of the season.
It is important to know what the fpl community consensus so then you can decide whether they are correct or not.
I disagree with the starting eleven and weak bench idea. Azpilecueta is on my bench until gw 3 and it gives flexibility.
With my schedule, I have to record the videos late at night 😎 Yes, there are different styles of playing that can get you a great rank. For me, it's knowing when to be aggressive and conservative. I made less early transfers to beat prices, but it didn't affect my Team Value. Took around 90pts in hits... just added them up. Great points you made about the FPL Community, I agree with them all. Having a light bench is a risky strategy in the beginning, but you can build a rotation system like yours that can work even better. 👍

Agree with you on Zinchenko, need solid info on Mendy's return date. Jota is a hard one to predict because of the Europa League. We don't know how Nuno will deal with the extra fixtures, meaning possible rotation and less focus in the league. The only Wolves player on my drafts is Dendoncker on the bench, same as you. You already have Deulofeu and going with King for 3x Bournemouth seems a bit risky. Looking great, just the two small notes on TAA and Jota and there's enough time to think it through 👍

Some notes on Rico and Zinchenko. Not sure if Rico is nailed-on in the long-run, but it could work initially. Man City signed a new fullback Cancelo from Juventus and Pep is always tricky with rotation. Consider Dendoncker in for Neves than using that £0.5m to upgrade another starter like Gray to King, or a defender upgrade if needed.

Barry Collins Strong team core. Good balance. Quick notes are KWP as you mentioned will hopefully hold down his spot. Zinchenko should be ok while Mendy is out. Man City’s fixtures aren’t the greatest for their defenders, but they were solid last season defensively. Tielemans has two tricky starting fixtures, but Leicester’s attack is even stronger now. Few minor notes, nothing to change. You’re in great shape. 👍

That aside, you make a good point about dodgy stats, that other guy has been only showing stats from like GW24 - GW38 or something. Its like, well what about the first 24 GWs??
Many companies, government agencies whatever manipulate stats in this manner to get the results they want.
Take for instance a shampoo advert where they say 97% of people said their hair looked better after 3 weeks. Then you look at the small print and it says the 97% was taken from a sample size of 362 people, and you're like why 362 people thats so random. Yea because they fiddled the stats to represent the results they wanted. Police do it all the time for arrest/conviction figures as well. Its not that they are lieing but its not a true representation

Johnny Blaze strong core in both teams. Agree with you on Bournemouth attacking cover. I may double down on them. I’d have to choose Salah to start the season. His ownership will be so high that it would be too risky not to have him. Wilson and King could start the season with similar ownership %. Salah and Mane won’t. Boring popular template picks in the beginning worked well last season.

One way to improve that weakest starter would be by downgrading the GK. But Pickford has excellent fixtures, and your team has strong potential as is. Great work, hard to improve it 👍

Using a single incident as prove is also dangerous and not something I think most FPL player would recommend. Lets say you want to a Pool attacker and Mane has good numbers overall. Salah has some good underlying stats. You dont know what player that would capitalise on the good stats. Over time they will maybe performe equal to each other. But one game can be random. You know Liverpool are gonna score some goals. You just dont know who is gonna score them. You are making an educated guess. Just bacause you hit on your triple captain doesnt make you an expert. If you have done this 100 times you would most likely dont get so many points on average. Very few are so good that they can be topp 10 000 year after year. If you have 1x20k finnish it could just as well be a fluke. Most likely youre getting most of the tips from other users.
Aleksander Larsen I’m not an expert. I agree with you that using a single incident as proof is dangerous. I have multiple examples from last season where stats were used by influencers to lead their followers in a particular direction, then I went in a different direction. I can remember Salah during December and Ricardo Pereira as two other examples but there were far more. I have it all documented. Yes, I was a bit lucky with my Triple Captain chip. I was also fortunate to finish 13k, 3x 20k finishes, 54k, 63k, 65k, 78k and some worse ones that I’m not as proud of 👍
@@Upper90studiospodcast im not saying you are not good. And I sayed it could be a fluke. I dont know what kind of "experts" you are listnening to. My experience is that in the long run they will give you points. They are not gonna hit on every tip. Thats impossible. The ones I watch dont give many short term tips because thats rearly a good strategi. They often also tip you of a 2-3 must have players for the next 4-10 games. And then they usually talk about 3-4 options in every position. They dont give you the answer. They give you good options that are not always the "correct one". Several times last season I heard fantasy football scout talk about their choises, that even if they missed on a high value player or a chip they would have done the same thing over. Because the game is also luck.
Lets take a hypotetical. Salah has great underlying stats but no goals in the last 4 games. You buy Salah and he dont score in the next match? Is that a wrong move then or do you continue playing him the next 2-3 matches just to see? There is rearly a sure thing in FPL. I triplecaptained Aguero when he had his first double gameweek. He did good in the first on score me some ok points and blanked on the next. Did not get as many points as I hoped but I would have done it again.

Especially the point about FPL influencers giving top picks, then it's up to you to make the final choice. 👍 I follow all the popular influencers, without naming names. Some are funny, many have excellent knowledge tips or stats. But my point is not whether their tips are right or wrong. It's to identify the players they are swaying their followers to buy or sell - as a community. If FPL experts say they're captaining Duffy in a Double Gameweek, thousands follow along... and that can do serious damage to my rank. I use their tips not for advice on which player to buy, but to see which players they are selling to their followers so I can't match or beat them with my own strategy. You and I are making different points, and I think you are right on yours. Hopefully we can understand each other.

But the pods I watched wanted to do this to gamble to make up for lost ground. If you are happy with your current position I dont think you will ever do a gamble like this. At least I dont think you should. I think the videos you make is a good addition to all the others. You are not a top tier player but look like you have established your self on second shelf. Think you can provide some good tips to does who want to break in to topp 100k and cant do it on their own.

You kinda touched on this with #10 "Overspending on the Bench at the Expense of Starters" but what is your opinion on a more versatile/rotatable team vs. hitting the big 11 starters and spending whatever is leftover on the bench, not expecting to use them?
I originally started with the big hitters (Salah, Sterling, VVD, etc.) and then scooped up the bare minimum for my bench. However I did a mock draft today with a more rotatable and game friendly lineup (15 players from 11 different teams). I shouldn't have to use many or any transfers in the first few gameweeks, can use any of the listed formations, and I think there's a lot of value in single-digit-cost players this season.
My first draft for this idea went as such (subject to change):
Leno/Schmeichel
Alonso, Digne, Robertson, Trent, Zinchenko
Fraser, Brooks, Pogba, Felipe Anderson, Ndombele
Jota, Vardy, King
So, with your experience, is a more spread out squad, like such, beneficial? Or is it better to nail the starting 11 with some double digit men from the Top 6 i.e Sterling, Kane, KDB, etc.?

Great comment. A squad using well-researched rotating players could be more effective. There are different ways to get to the same outcome, not necessarily right or wrong. I have a few drafts using a rotation system, and may post them on the next video. One of my concerns with rotation is how unpredictable results can be at the start of the season. Anything can happen throwing rotation out the window. Imagine Felipe Anderson playing out of skin GW1 vs. Man City when owners benched him, then he'll blank the next game! I hope not for his owners! :) I like to bet on high-ceiling players such as Salah and Sterling at the start. Captaincy is crucial in FPL, and if we get that wrong, especially when FPL influencers agree on a decision, we can fall behind 15-20 points or more in a single week. Ownership stats with strong FPL managers is a key factor. A compromise could be owning big hitters like Salah and Sterling, then instead of only £4.0m-£4.5m bench players, throw in a quality player in the £6.5m range to rotate with another similarly-priced starter. So the short answer is everything within reason, finding a compromise that works for your playing style. Great reading your comment and ideas 👍
^too hard to guess and it’s more of a headache (especially captains) , then to rotate and alter the right players within your team. One/two stand out big players within the first 4-6 games and your having to sort your full team taking hits to out to incorporate them. The only way I see your strategy working is having a ranged balance and a points spare to get that potential quick starter. However form requires more than the one/two games so a top player in each position can incorporate that quickly for other managers. Sort out your “cheap, but everyone owns” and then have a cheap punt for the outfield positions. Rest of team needs to be of spread higher values.

I should have mentioned this, but the main league I do is a h2h GW set-up which is why I thought to take chances with more mid-priced players rather than shell out a quarter of my budget on Salah and Sterling - who I assume will be in 90% of my competitor's teams, as well as 30-40% of the other FPL owner's. No knocks to either player, they are highly owned for a reason, it just seems like "an easy way out" sometimes.
I do feel like, as you mentioned, missing a big captaincy week would hurt tremendously if Salah/Sterling do as they normally do and have a massive week, that could set me back, so I'll have to look at ways to counter that i.e. KDB, Bobby, Silva x2, etc
.
I think I'll do, as you mentioned, and sort of find my weeks and positions that I could rotate with such as Jota/Deulofeu/Anderson for 20M or in the likes of Leno/Schmeichel where I can avoid the Top 6's offenses for the first half of the season (minus GW 12 where they play each other) and have a good run of home fixtures where more CS are usually picked up. As much as I'd like to have a set and forget Allison or Ederson +$4M bench option, I think there are a lot of points to be had in a position most people tend to overlook with CS + saves rotational value - and at the same price of 10M.
Vardy is also looking more and more replaceable by the day with Perez stepping in almost 3M cheaper and with some potential CS points. Bobby and Lacazette also in that same 9M price range (Laca now looks to be on pens *note preseason game vs. RM*) (Bobby/Salah tandem created the second most chances last season, and with Mane's uncertain availability GW1 from AFCON, Firmino could make some noise early on).

It's starting to look like getting 1 or 2 more expensive but consistent point-getters per position that I wouldn't mind holding onto for 38 GWs, and then going from there, try to find my positions and weeks which rotation could come into play. Now that's all subject to change with fixtures, form and intrasquad rotation, but at least I'll have the money to transfer in someone from the same premium price bracket.
What do you mean though when you say "...ranged balance and a points spare..." is that range/balance in teams and positions or more along the lines of smacking those big hitters and then worrying about rotational players and such with the money that's leftover?

Pulisic had a horrible injury history. That's why I never consider him in my team.
Glad you like it. It's not easy to categorize players whose style doesn't translate into FPL. One clue is if they're defensive midfielders. Like Fernandinho at Man City and Matic at United. They generally do a lot of important hard work for their team, but are less involved in dangerous areas near the opponent's box. Mkhi might be a lack of consistency - that is another way to categorize players in FPL. Watching games is the best way to start classifying players in your mind. Nice tip with Pulisic. He could also have an adjustment period with new teammates, league, manager... We saw last season with Felipe Anderson and Jota becoming quality players in FPL, but Anderson almost didn't make it to 60min GW1 and Jota was subbed at halftime GW2. 👍

Sorry for the late reply. I was working on the GW1 team video which will be ready in a few hours. It’s certainly a risky because one goal ruins the clean sheets for 3 players instantly. But that’s looking at the negative outcome. The positives are great if they continue with their form from last season. The main question might be whether to use up all 3 Liverpool spots on defenders vs. Salah. Salah will have high ownership and captaincy stats with strong FPL managers, so non-owners run a risk of falling behind strong competitors early on. Is it smart? It could be brilliant. But I prefer a safer start-of-season strategy that factors in player ownership % with strong FPL managers. Ultimately it’s up to you because it can work. :)

Thanks! Bellerin is coming off a serious injury, won't think about him until he returns and plays a few games. Alderweireld hasn't been the same since that contract dispute, one to keep an eye on as he has good potential in FPL. Don't know enough about Ceballos to give a proper assessment, will watch him play a few games before deciding. AWB is a quality player, BPS magnet with his tackles, but United were poor defensively last season. Would prefer to see which United turns up this season, so it's a similar situation with Pogba. Excellent player in FPL, on penalties which could be a factor as you said with VAR, but he's dependent on United's attacking potential. If they're not firing, I won't risk Pogba or any of their attackers. Thanks for the comment 👍

That's what I did for 11 out of 12 seasons, 100% instinct never looking at opponents. But it's getting more difficult to ignore strong FPL influencers on social media because they have a big impact in FPL. I can still make my own choices, but now with some safeguards built in. Still, I respect your strategy.

Non-owners could be chasing 20-40pts by Saturday morning and it’s against strong FPL managers who won’t drop points easily. Of course that’s looking at it with the expectation of Salah scoring! Glad you like them! GK+DEF are set. Small risk with the double up on Everton, but fixtures are green and they ended the season strong defensively. Idrissa Gueye is a negative as he’s off to PSG. Midfielders are ready. Forwards are strong. One of the strongest squads 🔥

@@arinsinghsachathet627 I would keep Digne for now, they have similar points potential. But let's see if anything happens in the summer transfer market. Everton could use a player or two in key positions.

Sorry for the late reply. I was working on the GW1 team video which will be ready in a few hours. I’m not sure if Bournemouth rotated their goalkeepers last season. Otherwise, it’s a great team if going with Salah+Sterling with Aubameyang. The way you’ve made a compromise is probably how I would do it. Just the small note on the GK.

Strong overall. A bit top-heavy, but it could work. Holebas could be a legend in FPL with his attacking potential, but he's obsessed with being booked every game :) Going without Man City attack cover is a big decision because of his scoring potential and high ownership with strong FPL managers. Just two notes to keep in mind if you draw up another draft to compare, but use your current squad as a guide to compare because it is strong. I wouldn't want to face off against it 👍

I might look into a shift toward Salah and/or Sterling soon. That could involve a reshuffle of the squad, so work up to it by spreading out transfers over a few Gameweeks. Not an easy one. Two good starting fixtures for Leno is a plus. Overall strong team if going without Salah in the beginning. Salah will likely have high ownership and captaincy stats with strong FPL managers, so there's a risk of falling behind direct competitors early on. Small note on Abraham depending on whether he will be 100% nailed-on or share starts with Giroud and Batshuayi. Some ideas could be bumping him down to King, then using the extra £0.5m to push VVD to Robertson or AWB to Digne. Liking your structure, just the main question over Salah, and a few minor notes to consider 👍

Strong overall. Can't go wrong with either King or Jota. I prefer Bournemouth's fixtures and that they're not involved in the Europa League. Even then, it's still close because Wolves can raise their game against strong opponents.
I've gone for 2x Bournemouth forwards, but either idea can work.
