Borai, Prismeni, and Pahtra were all in SF1e, it's cool they will be core options. I think that Starship combat is going to work like it did in SF1e, but checks will be based on skill DCs like combat maneuvers in PF2. The degrees of success will determine how well it works, at least that's my theory. Anyway, thanks for the video.
I haven’t seen the revised / alternate rules for starship combat. But my group disliked the original rules for it. We basically just skipped them altogether. They felt clunky and overly complicated. Possibly due to our inexperience. But my guys found it boring just making rolls each round for their designated task, without much opportunity for decision making .
I really appreciate this video. Is there any way we can get a written list of the available classes and ancestries? I'm interested in what they've got.
Not sure about ancestries, but they've been very clear about classes: Solarion (Strength) Operative (Dexterity) Soldier (Constitution) Witchwarper (Intelligence) Mystic (Wisdom) Envoy (Charisma) They've said there's plans in motion for mechanic and technomancer, but it sounds like they might be in an early rulebook rather than the final version of the core rules.
Same here - collector. I got it off Amazon for $29.90 - lowest price since I preordered. Also - I have most of the 1e books - want to get more - but want to see whether 2e is such a change (for the better) that I’ll want to immediately switch to 2e when it comes out. Based on what I’ve seen, and the fact that I don’t plan on mixing PF and SF, I’m sticking with 1e for awhile.
The skittermander are in the core rules! Awesome

My hope is that the Starship combat works like Starfinder 1e, I enjoyed it.

Paizo should give away that shirt for every book sold and send you a dollar per sale. Just throwing that out there.
😆 I agree!
