Yuji Nishida (西田 有志 Nishida Yūji, born 30 January 2000) is a Japanese male volleyball player.
Nishida currently plays for JTEKT Stings, a volleyball club based in Kariya, Aichi, Japan. He made his debut with JTEKT Stings at V.League (Japan) on 6 January 2018 in a match against Osaka Blazers Sakai. His impressive debut at the young age of 17 soon earned him a position in JTKET's Starting 6 as well as Japan men's national volleyball team.
He is one of the youngest players in the 2018 roster of the Japan men's national volleyball team . He made his first international performance with the Japanese national team in 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League. In June 2018, he played a pivotal role in securing Japan's first win in 11 years against Italy where he collected 24 points from 21 spikes and 3 aces . In September 2018, in a match against Argentina in 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, Nishida became the youngest player ever to score 30 points in a match. In June 2019, Nishida broke serving records in the VNL history after hitting 7 aces in a single game during a match against Bulgaria - กีฬา

Well compare to the other player he's quite small in stature. 180cm something is pretty small in professional volleyball world hun, the liberos are smaller but we all know that their fight is below the net so height is not important, while Nishida's position are played by people taller than he is. Especially if they're facing western team, he's considered to be little.

I love this sport! Problem is that on the local TV there's not much going on, except when big events are taking place. Good thing I stumbled upon this channel :)
He's smaller compared to other spikers, but he jumped so high above the blockers' hands! And the top of that, he's a strong leftie which added the bonus to that unbelievable force! He's still very young and has a lot of rooms to improve. I set my eyes on him since last year VNL. I can't wait for his next performance! :)

Back in the mid 70s, I was considered to be a very good volleyball player. These guys are on a totally different planet than me. I don't even recognize the game today. Amazing.
