[Koto:Hiroko Fujisaki Shakuhachi:Toru Kujiraoka]
Formed in 2006 by two people who felt that by composing pieces of music with all their heart and playing them by themselves with all their heart, the sound would touch people's heartstrings.
With the traditional Japanese musical instruments such as Koto and Shakuhachi, they express their feelings and wishes as people living in the present day.
Their original pieces remind one of the beautiful scenery of their hometown, Niigata.
In the melodies painted by the tones of Koto and Shakuhachi, one would find both nostalgia and freshness.

I was a young US Navy Sailor back in the 70s. My first time in Japan, I fell in love with the culture, the food and the music. I only wished I's spent more time in persuit of the finer aspects of the culture and not the waterfront way of life.
This instrument reminds me of the soundtrack inuyasha - Kagome and inuyasha....great work..

I get the image of a warrior who's on his knees looking in horror of the aftermath of a battle that had no victor, just the dead. And looking as well to the corpses he once called brothers at arms that were laughing and singing the night before.... It's beautiful music. But with a sad melancholic tone to it... I don't know. Maybe I'm just over thinking this.
You know I think this fits the song very well I get a similar image. I often think of the music I listen to and wonder what stories they might portray.
GunDexChampion Lost Odyssey got me into thinking that way about war. Melancholic, sad, and heartbreaking. Though I enjoy a good war game. I always revert back to thinking of how tragic it is when I listen to this song

HI, are there different kinds of Shakuhachi flutes? This one sounds a bit different from others I've heard on youtube. Or are they usually about the same? And what are their note-ranges?
Yeah!!!!! Sound of both this instruments when they play in the same time remains me all tragedy and sorrow compositions from Naruto... Like Shitsui,Minato and Kushina death and Sadness and Sorrow... God save these musicians!

This sir is japanese music i can tell because they are using the koto(the string instrument) and sakuhachi(the flute)
They use erhu a lot in Chinese trad music.
Tim Tao Shakuhatchi was actually stolen from China originally before some era finished. No idea about Chinese/Japanese history but we had a woman who did a PHD on the Shakuhatchi who explained it. So that'll be why it sounds Chinese.. it's a Chinese instrument, trlolol
so pardon me while i imitate some of the koto on my folk harp; i opened up a traditional jarocho son with sakura on my harp to honor the japanese in boyle height
I find the music, traditional art, stories and legends so intriguing. Japan is such an interesting and beautiful place, I can get lost in the culture and history sometimes...

I dont think of warriors or battles. I think of the lord of a village looking at the people who he tends to who adore and respect him. This is his contemplation of their love song. At 2:40 the song gets to its finest point for me.
