Hey Matt, a plant you should get in the future is the cob cannon. When planting it using 2 kernel palts, every 30 seconds or so it regenerates a giant corn inside it for free and acts like a cherry bomb. When it regenerates you can click and hold and aim it wherever on the map then let go of click to launch.
As someone who turns 40 this year, this series (along with MSM) are my favs! It's not often a mobile type feeling game makes me want to play it for long. But these games I had played for a long time. While I probably won't back into playing them, it is a joy watching someone else play them for the first time.
PvZ is originally a PC game just like other original PopCap games. It's built with Shockwave that controls are simple that it fits mobile pretty easily

you don't even need endless mode to grind coins! If I remember correctly, when there's only 1 zombie left, you can just remove your offensive plants and spam the zombie with tall nuts and pumpkins (wall nut first aid would help but not necessary) while your marigolds and magnet shrooms do their thing. It takes a lot less setup in exchange for you having to replant the nuts once in a while
matt maybe you can do slightly longer videos? like 30 minutes maybe, this game has a lot of content and im not sure 1 20 minute episode a week is enough to cover it all that quickly, just a suggestion!
Hey Matt, just reminding you, one of the hardest minigames are Pogo Party. Pogo Party will have a lot of Pogo Zombies and only a few regular zombies. This minigame is pretty hard, so you basically need Melon-pults, Winter Melons, Tall-nuts/Wall-nuts, and Pumpkins,Coffee Bean, Magnet shroom, and the "pear" and other explosive plants.
Fun Fact: The DS version has a exclusive minigame called heatwave. You had 10 plants and they can be moved as needed. The catch was that due to the heat the plants would grow tired and you'd need to "yelling into the mic" (or blow into it if ya didn't wanna get in trouble) to get them back up along with a bit of a shot speed increase before calming back down. As well as Air Raid which is a game where you tap and hold a gatling pea and move it around to fly. You do all this while fighting zomboss in a ariel battle.
Matt! Theres an achievement you can get fairly easily, You know the achievements menu when you scroll down? If you keep scrolling long enough you can actually dig to china!
Hey Matt, there is actually another zombie in the game that is not shown in the almanac called the Giga-Gargantuar. It looks like a normal Gargantuar but has red eyes and can be seen in the later stages of endless mode. The only difference between it and a regular Gargantuar is that it has double the health.
matt, if you uploaded this game every wednesday for a year, i would watch it for as much. i just enjoy the combination of nostalgia and vicariously experiencing this stuff without knowing whats next.

Tip: When upgrading a sunflower to twin sunflower, (how relevant) make sure it makes sun and THEN upgrade it even if you have enough, this way you full potential of your sunflowers.
Matt, if you ever need to put a specific plant down faster, save up on cash and get the imitater from crazy Dave’s shop. It basically becomes a plant of your choice, so you can have, let’s say, 2 marigolds or two “pears” in your seed slots. The only downsides are that one: it also copies it’s cool down if I remember, and two: it costs 30,000 in Dave’s shop
What I like about my favorites of your series is that when you like a game and when your audience is engaged you really take the time to explore the game and see what can be done and laughs about it on the way. You cheer me up man
Hey Matt, Ive played the original PVZ for ages now, totally loving your playthrough! I hope to dispense some knowledge for ya. 1.the green pots in vasebreaker (the ones with the leaves on the front instead of the question marks) ALWAYS contain some form of plant. you'll never get a zombie from breaking those, so it's a good idea to start with them and slowly break vases as you work your way from the pots on the farthest lane, to the ones closer to your house. 2. Chompers seem to be a bit more powerful than you'd think, capable of swallowing zomboni's ice machines in one bite, as well as dealing with the wall-nut zombies in Zombotany fairly well. The only thing they can't bite are Gargantuaurs, although they deal decent damage to them before getting smushed. 3. Remember those bungee zombies that bring in extra zombies on the final wave in the roof levels? if you happen to have an umbrella leaf, you can stop them from placing down some of the zombies when the final wave hits. just make sure you put it down when you see the shadows on the roof, and the umbrella leaf will block the zombies from being spawned. 4. If you ever want to replace a plant that is sitting inside of a pumpkin, hold the shovel and aim for the upper-half of the tile the plants are located. You'll see the plant inside is highlighted, but not the pumpkin. once you click, only the pumpkin will be left, allowing you to swap plants placed inside them when needed. 5. A good stratedgy for building up a huge stockpile of sun for survival modes is to spam as many sunflowers as possible in the front. Not only does this ramp up your sun production signifigantly, the sunflowers can act as meatshields while your plants attack the zombies. Pair this with snow peas and repeaters to keep the zombies at bay and you'll have TONS of sun to work with for the next few rounds. 6. this one does not help gameplay-wise, but is still quite funny. If you head down to the achievements area, start scrolling downwards and you'll see some other famous faces and things from other games (Bjorn form Peggle, and the Bejewled gems for example.) Keep scrolling and... well.. I'll let you find out what's at the bottom for yourself.
A strategy I find quite useful in survival is using garlic to move the zombies to lane 2 and 4 and use spikeweed/spikerocks in those lanes with a tall-nut in a pumpkin at the end and with magnet shrooms marigolds in the spaces.
I’ve been in love with this franchise for over 10 years, so much content in this game, but what if you finish it all somehow? Just wait for pvz 2, you wouldn’t be able to finish that one. Ps. Don’t know what all these people are talking about the yeti being on 4-2, only spotted him on 4-10 before.
FYI Matt, the winter melon is absolutely busted and can completely shut down hoards of zombies. Even with just 1 row of them (sometimes you don’t even need that many due to the splash damage) you can permaslow zombies, and that’s not even counting the high damage
Hey Matt! Just a quick tip for gloom shroom tactics. Don't use instant kill plants on any zombies except gargantuar! Bring a squash and jalapeno to deal with gargantuars. As long as you're not doing survival Endless there will not be more than 1. It's easy to deal with. Also use spikeweed for extra damage when they are moved by the garlic. Matt, The Melon-Pult does a splash-damage of a 3 by 3 area, if you do the right pattern, then you can actually hit all of the zombies on the field. Also Winter-Melons are extremely OP.
tip: As far as I could remember, you can plant over pumpkins, wall nuts, tall nuts, garlics, any plant that deteriorates, of its own kind, so they could restore to their full health, instead of having to wait for them to die.
Snorkel zombies can actually be hit by catapults when submerged. This means that if you use Cabbage Pults on a level that has snorkel zombies you can defeat them without jebaiting them into surfacing with another plant. The same can't be said about balloon zombies, however. Also, if a bungee zombie tries to steal an armed potato mine he will be instantly destroyed, but you can't plant an umbrella leaf to get rid of a bungee zombie that's already down.
Matt, I think you should definitely start using the cactus more often. More specifically in front of walnuts, because when a zombie comes too close, it acts just like a spikeweed except with less DPS. It also has a piercing shot, which is great against crowds of zombies
To add to the glitch comment, Yes you can do a money glitch which works really well. Basically you have to play the aquarium gamemode and right before you finish the game and when the trophy appears, you must quit out. Then you can go back into the same gamemode and it will put you back where u left off. Now you can collect the trophy and then leave the game again immediately. You can do this as long as you want and it will really speed up the process of getting the every plant.
wednesday is my fav day of the week for two reasons: early school day and pvz upload :D also pult type plants can hit scuba zombies underwater, as well as screen door zombies.
Matt The plants I think you should buy in this order is Imitator: you can have two of any plant (non premium) Cob cannon: you can air strike zombies Spike rock: takes like 9 hits for gargantuan to kill ( don’t quote me on that I only remember it’s a lot) Twin sunflower: this will be vital in endless mode Wintermelon: this will slow zombies down yes even the splash damage slows them down Then whatever else I forgot existed Of course just get what you want but I think that’s the best order
Hey Matt, playing Bonus Adventures or Survival Mode will give you a plant for your Zen Garden, it is random, and it will only have a minor chance that you can win a plant for your Zen Garden. For example, If you earn a plant for a Zen Garden at Night, you will get a mushroom plant, which you will need to buy the Mushroom Garden in Crazy Dave's Shop. Same thing applies when you earn a plant in the Zen Garden at Day, Pool, Fog, and Roof levels.
Matt, there is an achievement there when you scroll down on the achievement section as fast as you can and reaches it's end. You have to do it as fast as you can. Also, CATTAILS ARE DOG!
Hey Matt, you should keep a pumpkin around the garlic. This is because the zombies will gather up there and when the pumpkin is eaten , all the zombies will bite the garlic together.
Hey matt, in the zen garden once you fully grow a plant by feeding it 3 fertilizer in total sell it to crazy Dave for profit. Also you can buy plant gifts in the Shop witch give a random plant (except marigolds) and they make More profit in total even tho they cost More, but sometimes they give you a mush room or a water plant and outside of their respective gardens the cant grow.

hey Matt, you can combo that gloom shroom and garlic with the starfruit. placing the starfruits in the back means that zombies will take a barrage of stars while dying to gloom shrooms
Hey Matt, go to the achievments scroll down there will be some easter eggs lol tip: put a cabage pult in the middle of a lane then put ice peashooter to slow the zombies then put gloomshrooms on the side next to cabage pult then after that you put the gloom shrooms put peashooter & torch wood beside gloom shroom but if your in a water level if you want put spike kelp or cat tail i reccomend cattail for the most part this strat may probalay help out im not sure sincrley. - fuzzaluga for enddless mode or moderen
Hey matt, I think you REALLY need to buy healing option in crazy dave shop (it's on the second layer of the truck with a picture of wallnut with a bandage) it's cheap and usefull to heal your meatshield immediatly so you don't have to wait the plant being eaten first. It can used for Pumpkin, garlic, and the nuts family.
Tip for Matt:For the OTHER (yes there’s more than one) Zombotany mini games puff shroom will be use full since all the ranged zombies won’t be able to shoot them due to their small size Also joke:What do cocky plants say? Oh I’m gonna squash these zombies no biggir

Here's a tip for harder level (more of a tip for mods like the Hard mode mod, but whatever XD): When a mower or pool cleaner is used, zombies won't spawn on that lane for a while. You can use this to clump up zombies on the other lanes
Tip:You need to get the Winter Melon, they are crazily OP! They act like Melon Pult, but they slow down Zombies like the Snow Pea, making it awesome Use them in Survival Endless with the Spike Rock, Gloom Shroom, Cat Tail, Cob Cannon, and Twin Sunflower, and you're great to go! It lasts like 12+ Flags Another Tip:In Survival Endless... You need the Imitater too, because you need it to plant Pumpkins everywhere on your Plants so that they are really really safe
Tip: about the gloom shrooms thingy after you have the ultimate formation and many sunflowers, replace the sunflowers with you know Make You Rich Flower, xd. Hope you see this matt! Btw dont forget to buy all the upgrades of plants!
Here's a tip: You don't have to use coffee beans on fume shrooms or magnet shrooms if your going to upgrade them to a gloom shroom or gold magnet, btw I love your channel, keep it up!
You still need to wake up Fume-shroom/Gloom-shroom When a Magnet-shroom is upgraded into a Gold Magnet, it is no longer a mushroom, so it stays awake without Coffee Bean.
Monster Mondays and PvZ really help me figure out what day it is since I have classes on Monday and Wednesday and both of these series help remind me so that I don’t miss class
Matt, if you place a walnut/tall nut and let the zombie chew on it, put a potato mine on the tile where the zombie is eating the walnut/tall nut, the zombie won't actually eat the potato mine. So that means you could troll the zombies by making them think that you are letting them win, but the potato mine will explode.👍👍👍

If there balloon zombie then use blover in endless mode u need 3 explodonator can kill GIga-gargantuar in endless mode cherry bomb or jalapeno or Squash or doom shroom is overpower. If u use ice Shroom can freeze Giga-gargantuar or garagantuar
Tip: I don't know exactly how to get it, but I think if you click the "options" flower pot in the main menu, it will show you a "leaderboards." option. If you click it, you will be taken to a garbage can with a pile of dead zombies inside, and if you scroll up to the top, you can see the amount of zombies you've killed! Plus, if you grow your pile of zombies to space, you will get the Dead Space achievement. I think that's the way you reach the leaderboard, but i'm not sure.

When zombies walk on it they do damage (extra damage) 3.gold magnet shroom It's an upgrade of magnet shroom it collects coins as well And must be placed on magnet shroom 4.winter melon pult It throws ice melons that are cold and freeze zombies 5.cob canon Is an upgrade plant that fires cobs in 3x3 area and you can manually choose the area (Must place a corn pult and place another one in the front then place cob canon)

-Squash and spikeweed will instantly take out zomboni at the cost of the plant. -Wall nut repair means you can place a wall nut on another wall nut that is damaged, instantly repairing it. -Potato mine can blow up a gargantuar -Green vases in vase breaker always contain plants.
Hey Matt if you buy the wall-nut wrapped in bandages it allows you to repair wall-nuts, tall-nuts and pumpkin shields so you don’t have to dig them up to replace them
Hey Matt, whenever you use the garlic strat, you need to have a source of damage for the lane your garlics are in anyway. This pretty much only applies when there are pole vaulter zombies, because they mess everything up

AND A TIP FOR PvZ, you can replenish the health of these (walnut, tallnut, and pumpkin), by REplanting them with the plant that they are, I really cant explain how, but if it didnt work, you should buy at Daves😀
Whenever you see a bungee zombie in the loadout, invest some sun for Umbrella Leaves, they save your butt big time against them and catapults' basketballs

Chomped is trash, it’s cost is decently high, slow recharge, and it’s just a squash but way worse
@@liguow It may have a high sun cost, true, but it can be pretty helpful in my experience for dealing with the Zambonis when you first encounter them

FYI Matt, the winter melon is absolutely busted and can completely shut down hoards of zombies. Even with just 1 row of them (sometimes you don’t even need that many due to the splash damage) you can permaslow zombies, and that’s not even counting the high damage
Hey Matt! Just a quick tip for gloom shroom tactics. Don't use instant kill plants on any zombies except gargantuar! Bring a squash and jalapeno to deal with gargantuars. As long as you're not doing survival Endless there will not be more than 1. It's easy to deal with. Also use spikeweed for extra damage when they are moved by the garlic. A great strategy is this:
First lane: Some spikeweed (or spikerock an upgraded version) and normal fume shroom behind to shred a pile of weak zombies. (Pumpkin not needed)
Second lane: 2 gloom-shrooms with pumpkin (pumpkin not necessary if no gargantuars or pole vaulters.) And garlic. And whatever behind.. you can get creative and put Winter-Melons!
Third lane: Some spikeweed (or spikerock an upgraded version) and normal fume shroom behind to shred a pile of weak zombies. (Pumpkin not needed)
Fourth Lane: 2 gloom-shrooms with pumpkin (pumpkin not necessary if no gargantuars or pole vaulters.) And garlic. And whatever behind.. you can get creative and put Gatling Peas!
Fifth lane: Some spikeweed (or spikerock an upgraded version) and normal fume shroom behind to shred a pile of weak zombies. (Pumpkin not needed)

Also another tip is to get winter melons , they slow zombies as much as the snow pea but they do it with : splash damage , high damage and can also damage another lane. Very usefull indeed! Pumpkins are also needed in this strategy. :)
Matt, The Melon-Pult does a splash-damage of a 3 by 3 area, if you do the right pattern, then you can actually hit all of the zombies on the field. Also Winter-Melons are extremely OP.
tip: As far as I could remember, you can plant over pumpkins, wall nuts, tall nuts, garlics, any plant that deteriorates, of its own kind, so they could restore to their full health, instead of having to wait for them to die.
not garlics because I believe they have the same health as normal plants but zombies only take 1 bite befoew switching

Snorkel zombies can actually be hit by catapults when submerged. This means that if you use Cabbage Pults on a level that has snorkel zombies you can defeat them without jebaiting them into surfacing with another plant. The same can't be said about balloon zombies, however. Also, if a bungee zombie tries to steal an armed potato mine he will be instantly destroyed, but you can't plant an umbrella leaf to get rid of a bungee zombie that's already down.

Matt, I think you should definitely start using the cactus more often. More specifically in front of walnuts, because when a zombie comes too close, it acts just like a spikeweed except with less DPS. It also has a piercing shot, which is great against crowds of zombies

To add to the glitch comment, Yes you can do a money glitch which works really well.
Basically you have to play the aquarium gamemode and right before you finish the game and when the trophy appears, you must quit out. Then you can go back into the same gamemode and it will put you back where u left off. Now you can collect the trophy and then leave the game again immediately.
You can do this as long as you want and it will really speed up the process of getting the every plant.

Matt The plants I think you should buy in this order is
Imitator: you can have two of any plant (non premium)
Cob cannon: you can air strike zombies
Spike rock: takes like 9 hits for gargantuan to kill ( don’t quote me on that I only remember it’s a lot)
Twin sunflower: this will be vital in endless mode
Wintermelon: this will slow zombies down yes even the splash damage slows them down
Then whatever else I forgot existed
Of course just get what you want but I think that’s the best order
tip: check the garden everytime without recording so you can get money by taking care a plants,
and dont accidentally play when you didn't record
Hey Matt, playing Bonus Adventures or Survival Mode will give you a plant for your Zen Garden, it is random, and it will only have a minor chance that you can win a plant for your Zen Garden. For example, If you earn a plant for a Zen Garden at Night, you will get a mushroom plant, which you will need to buy the Mushroom Garden in Crazy Dave's Shop. Same thing applies when you earn a plant in the Zen Garden at Day, Pool, Fog, and Roof levels.

Hey Matt, you should keep a pumpkin around the garlic. This is because the zombies will gather up there and when the pumpkin is eaten , all the zombies will bite the garlic together.
Hey matt, in the zen garden once you fully grow a plant by feeding it 3 fertilizer in total sell it to crazy Dave for profit. Also you can buy plant gifts in the Shop witch give a random plant (except marigolds) and they make More profit in total even tho they cost More, but sometimes they give you a mush room or a water plant and outside of their respective gardens the cant grow.
Matt, you should get the Imitater that costs 30,000 coins in Crazy Dave's shop. The Imitater lets you have a second copy of any plant!

Hey matt, I think you REALLY need to buy healing option in crazy dave shop (it's on the second layer of the truck with a picture of wallnut with a bandage) it's cheap and usefull to heal your meatshield immediatly so you don't have to wait the plant being eaten first. It can used for Pumpkin, garlic, and the nuts family.

Here's a tip for harder level (more of a tip for mods like the Hard mode mod, but whatever XD): When a mower or pool cleaner is used, zombies won't spawn on that lane for a while. You can use this to clump up zombies on the other lanes

Here's a tip: You don't have to use coffee beans on fume shrooms or magnet shrooms if your going to upgrade them to a gloom shroom or gold magnet, btw I love your channel, keep it up!
You still need to wake up Fume-shroom/Gloom-shroom
When a Magnet-shroom is upgraded into a Gold Magnet, it is no longer a mushroom, so it stays awake without Coffee Bean.
Monster Mondays and PvZ really help me figure out what day it is since I have classes on Monday and Wednesday and both of these series help remind me so that I don’t miss class
Matt, if you place a walnut/tall nut and let the zombie chew on it, put a potato mine on the tile where the zombie is eating the walnut/tall nut, the zombie won't actually eat the potato mine. So that means you could troll the zombies by making them think that you are letting them win, but the potato mine will explode.👍👍👍

Tip: I don't know exactly how to get it, but I think if you click the "options" flower pot in the main menu, it will show you a "leaderboards." option. If you click it, you will be taken to a garbage can with a pile of dead zombies inside, and if you scroll up to the top, you can see the amount of zombies you've killed! Plus, if you grow your pile of zombies to space, you will get the Dead Space achievement. I think that's the way you reach the leaderboard, but i'm not sure.

Matt, if u buy the 1st aid on dave's shop, you can put garlics, pumpkins and both tall and normal nut on top of a damaged one to "repair" it

-Squash and spikeweed will instantly take out zomboni at the cost of the plant.
-Wall nut repair means you can place a wall nut on another wall nut that is damaged, instantly repairing it.
-Potato mine can blow up a gargantuar
-Green vases in vase breaker always contain plants.
Hey Matt if you buy the wall-nut wrapped in bandages it allows you to repair wall-nuts, tall-nuts and pumpkin shields so you don’t have to dig them up to replace them
Hey Matt, whenever you use the garlic strat, you need to have a source of damage for the lane your garlics are in anyway. This pretty much only applies when there are pole vaulter zombies, because they mess everything up
Hey Matt - idk if this is only a mobile thing, but if you go into your achievements screen and scroll all the way down you get to see zombie china because you are scrolling to the other side of the planet. might only be mobile, but you should try it
AND A TIP FOR PvZ, you can replenish the health of these (walnut, tallnut, and pumpkin), by REplanting them with the plant that they are, I really cant explain how, but if it didnt work, you should buy at Daves😀
Whenever you see a bungee zombie in the loadout, invest some sun for Umbrella Leaves, they save your butt big time against them and catapults' basketballs
