Hey, man.. My wife and I have been seriously talking about moving to Nashville "Area" for about 3yrs now.. (Its not as easy as the thought of how amazing and easy it seems lol) We've lived in Indianapolis or Suburbs of Indy our entire life and we're both massive fans of the Nashville Culture.. Obviously the Music scene!! Being a Serious and Passionate Musician, Nothing can beat Nashville!! Even if I'm 100% Punk Rock lol, I'm just a huge fan of all things Music.. also Love the Southern Culture and way of living!! Anyways, lol.. curious if you'd mind sharing your thoughts on a question my wife and I need to know before we decide to pack up the Uhaul and head south. Lol.. So, what would you say is like the "Average price" to Rent like a 3 bedroom Apartment or Condo outside of the city in a surrounding Suburb? I'm just curious Ballpark figures.. Thank you so much man, and I apologize for this super long comment/question and the rambling Lol!! Thanks again!! 🤘
I would highly recommend it. It's very upbeat and there is an understanding of being cordial with each other. Country light feel with city atmosphere. Good luck!🤠❤️
I like visiting Nashville a lot but I don’t think I could live there. It’s way too hot and humid for me in the summer, I don’t like that it’s land-locked (I live within a train ride or a car ride from the ocean), it’s a tornado-prone area and that’s scary for me coming from NYC which - knock wood - is not tornado-prone. I don’t drive either. I think it would be tough to live in Nashville without a car. But it’s a great place to visit.
Thank you for the great info, I live in New Jersey it's a horrible place to live for so many reasons , My wife and myself are thinking about moving to Nashville, it looks like a peaceful life for a lot of reasons.
Everything from the high taxes to the people that are just so nasty to the horrible way the state is ran, the roads are a mess, I can keep on and on, but there is not enough time.
Hey man, I'm from Brazil and I'm looking to move to Tenessee I'm a brewmaster, so work with breweries and distilleries, I'm finishing my college as an agronomist next year and I thought about taking advantage of the last period to work in Tennessee, do you think people at breweries or farms are open to foreigners?
Thinking about moving to Nashville from the finger lakes area of Central ny. Cost of living is insane here currently and as a chef I'm getting more application hits from restaurants that seem to fit the mindset out of nashville area. I pay a grand for a crappy single bedroom apt here. Utilities are well over 300+(gas, electric, internet) for 8 months out of the year. As a renter it seems like there are at least more options if I were to make the move.
. Texan who tried living in nashville because I couldn’t afford to move back to central Texas where I’m from. Made the huge mistake of assuming central Tennessee culture would be similar to central texas. Fellow Texans, it’s completely different. Don’t do what I did and assume it’s the same kind of south. Very different. It really feels much more overcrowded than central texas with a geography that is so hilly you feel trapped in the chaotic crowded suburbs and “pikes.” People are not trusting of others at all so there’s no “hospitality” that would have normally covered up the locals true feelings that they’ll never let you be part of their “club.” It’s the chaotic busyness of the northeast with a culture of people who like it the way it is: they value lying to save face over risking being honest and truly connecting. People are worn out and assuming you are there to be transactional rather than neighborly. EXTREMELY hard to develop honest relationships with anybody because of that. DO NOT assume like I did that Tennessee is like Texas culture. It will leave you never having any idea who to trust or how to connect because you’ll overwhelm them with the Texan “straight shooter” way, they’ll pretend they’re fine and tell you one thing but say a bunch of stuff behind your back. Reminded me a lot of some time I had to spend in California for work years ago. Passive aggressive, transactional, impossible to trust people who love a cool sounding “turn of phrase” more than developing trust thru honesty. When they tell you they don’t want you there, listen to them. They don’t. That’s the most honest sentence you’ll ever get out of a culture mired in British classism and status based treatment of one another. If you like performative relationships with people, if you enjoy the game of always having to guess what people really think of or feel about you, if you live for the American rat race of busyness with no easy way to connect with God’s natural world, Nashville is the place for you. Having more opportunities to play music with other musicians was NOT worth me giving up a rural Montanan lifestyle for the “opportunity” in Nashville. There’s a draw there that makes you think if you’re more freedom minded, you’ll feel at home. The freedom values I was raised on was always be honest, respect hard work, let people take care of their side of the street and you take care of yours. Middle Tennessee’s idea of freedom is VERY different. You are NOT free to be an individual. You must find your group or live in isolation as punishment for being an honest individual. You’ve been warned.
I’m a Texan thinking of moving north. This is giving me something to think about for moving to Nashville thank you. I definitely feel people in my area do not trust people, until they get to know you, and are a mix, often just social with what they consider their own kind ect. Nashville sounds like on another level… I was considering Cincinnati as well, it has a rep of being a friendly town ( outside of downtown )
@heythere6983 Austin is great.. it's great for outdoor activities . It also has a huge night life. Great Bbq great tex mex food.. the price of rent averaged is 1300 -1800 depending on what you looking for. I've lived in texas all my life.. just curious what it's like living outside my state
@@killerkano79 By any chance you know if people tend to have mold issues in their houses/apartments? I worry about the high heat and humidity. I considered nashville too but idk, i have mold sensitivities so its like ptsd, now im concerned with moldy places. It seems nashville is more expensive than austin , in terms of food, drinks etc. Tornadoes also worry me. IDK. Its tough when you havent lived somewhere and want to relocate. Especially for finding a basic job
@@heythere6983 there probably will be mold in some houses/apartments. Just buy you a great air purifier.. rent from newly established apartment complex. I think you'll be alright.. where do you live now?
@@killerkano79 NJ. Honestly once you get sensitive to it, a purifier wont work and it gets in your clothes and items and everything you own becomes a problem . Iv developed many issues. Its wild. People often have to throw away everything they own once they get sensitive. Apparently NJ is one of the moldiest states even tho its less humid than TN or texas.
I love Nashville so much. I’m from Southern California. It’s one of my favorite places but boy has it changed in the past few years. Traffic here is gross lol but I drove from Memphis to Nashville and when we got close to downtown it was awful, lol there is just so much construction. Also I don’t visit in the summer lol way to hot. Spring is great and so is fall. Never been in winter, for me from Cali seems cold but doable. I’ve wanted to move there for years. I do think it’s a little to conservative for me. At least in the outskirts but I’m not very political so. You didn’t talk about the wildlife and BUGS lol lol

Flonase is excellent for allergies and NOT addictive! Highly recommend for fellow allergy sufferers.
This is my kind of city. Music and food.
Very nice video tour, different points of view, pros and cons are very nice too, thanks
Great video. I've been thinking about moving to Nashville. I'm from Missouri, so I feel like I would be use to the weather there
Wow. This was a great video. Great editing, shots, and talk for such a small channel! Very impressed.

Welcome to the south :)
Why does Nashville look so 🥶 cold 🥶? How much snow do y’all get?
from what he said in the video - it was winter, and was about 50 degrees when he was filming, they have all 4 seasons, very mild winters.
In the past couple of winters, we've had ice storms, which is very rare.
However, normally just light snow.
Great video, thanks. Me and the family are going on two years here. From SoCal- we love it.

I will (hopefully) be relocating to Nashville from Middle Pennsylvania. Just need to secure employment and find a decent apartment first.
