I’ve always said that the way these two praised their moms is so beautiful. To hear about their moms friendships with each other is just so sweet. What lucky guys to have such special heartwarming memories to share with each other.
I had no idea they were so close. Kay seemed more mature, but then again, she was. I don't mean that disrespectfully. She was theatrical in her blood, where as Betty was a homemaker and Alma worked and didn't have the time to explore that. Again, no disrespect, all 4 mother's were full time mothers, with large families and an experience I will never have. Their little boys were traveling around the world.
Danny what's up I want to say you're very nice and you're very sweet and the other night I'm talked to your friend Jordan ya just me and him let you know friends of hate and just friends I told him about my cat and my dog dying and went up to heaven talk to you later I love you may God bless you
You know, you know the stories of how they grew up and how Donnie wondered where the next meal would come from, but to hear specific stories about their mothers, and father and siblings, it really cements home how close you really were and are.
The way these men respect and love their moms is beautiful. What a gift it is to have a lifelong friendship like they do. God bless the Wahlberg family for the loss of a beloved mother and grandmother.
I found out today about the passing of Alma, Donnie's wonderful mother. And then I find your site tonight and I wasn't even looking. I love hearing stories of how people grew up, what they remember, their favorite memories, and more. I loved Alma, so hearing you all talk about her cooking was great. I miss the show and seeing her. Sending my condolences and love to all her family and loved ones.
Oh Danny...I am a cancer survivor...last year was the hardest year of my life, in remission as of 1/11/21!!!!, and hearing you guys talk about your Mom's bout with cancer and how Alma took her to chemo and the hospital...made me ugly cry because I know how much that friendship meant to Betty because I had friends that took me to chemo and radiation and those friends are by far my closest. Danny I just recently watched an Oprah interview with New Kids' Mom's and Your Mama's love for you lit her face up in such a beautiful way...I cried through the whole thing...because not only is she the mom of one of my 5 favorite band members but she is a sister in this battle against cancer... you are such an amazing dude because your Mama raised you that way!!!! ❤ your face and your channel!!!! Donnie 💘 you and Alma too!!!! #rememberbetty #cancersucks #thewoodworks
When Donnie said government cheese I spit my coffee out! Government cheese makes the best grilled cheese sandwiches and Mac n cheese!! I thought i was the only one who remembers or loved government cheese
@@brandyacton3541 no.. Why did it close? We need one in Washington State for real Donnie if your reading this or Danny please please please we need a wahlburgers in Washington State please 💜💜💜. RIP Alma much love and respect
I hope they do some kind of tell all book or documentary with the real behind the scenes stories. I can only imagine all the girls and other things that went on that they've never told the public about
What an amazing interview a heartfelt discussion the main message throughout their conversation was the importance of their family lives and the love both of them had for their mothers. So saddened to hear of Alma's passing sincere condolences to the entire family. Donnie's tribute on his Instagram was so heartfelt it brought me to tears. He is such a lovely man with the biggest heart.
This is an entirely different side of badass Detective Reagan I have never seen! HOW sweet to hear Donnie reminiscing about his youth.... that gumball machine he craved. He felt his friend's house was RICH, but splashing in a cold puddle of water sounds like my little sparrows splashing away in a large flower pot bottom to bathe in. Such wonderful reminiscences. I'll never see Donny in the same way on Blue Bloods. This was better than ANY interview he could of been in. I loved it.
Beautiful memories and a great recipe. What an honor to have an insight into your friendship and Betty and Alma's friendship. Thankyou so much for sharing.
Dear Wahlberg family, it is with a heavy heart that I'm writing to you sending my deepest condolences. I so enjoyed hearing you speak with such Love and adoration for your mom when you were reminiscing the other day. I'm so sorry you're all going through this difficult time. Your all in my thoughts and prayers ❤️
This was a wonderful episode. Grat show Danny. I laughed, I cried. I've been a faithful BH for 33 yrs & my love & respect for these loving, genuine guys never ends. I'm also from MA & adore how their accents seem more pronounced during casual conversations together like this. I hope one day I can meet Donnie - he seems so kind.
Donnie coming from such humble beginnings, is still so humble, I just love him. He's so appreciative of everything he has. He's one of 9 siblings! I'm the youngest of 4 kids, and my Mom worked 20 years as a nurse, while raising 4 kids, and she did an amazing job (she's an AMAZING COOK and baker btw) and I have 1 child, a daughter, who's 21 now. I've always been a single parent, but.... as soon as she was born, if I ever complained about anything, like I'm tired, or anything I would say like that, my Mom would ALWAYS say, "what would you do if you had FOUR kids?" Lol, so I could never get away with saying anything was hard about raising my daughter, she would say that line every time! Lol
Danny, thank you for Alma's Chicken Soup. The conversation with Donnie was nice as it showed how tight and far back you to go. I wish I was in contact with like you two have stayed. Again, thanks much.
I’m so sorry Donnie for the loss of your mom and Danny your breaking my heart right now.. your loss as well..Clearly you loved your moms so much!!They adored Yous.. you made them proud ❤️
Love this. I’m the same age as them so hearing these stories makes me think of my growing up in the late 70s and 80s. I use Bell’s in my soup, I sprinkle it in my seasoned flour when I make fried chicken, and Turkey for holidays, and I also sprinkle it on bread for stuffing. God Bless Alma and Betty.❤️
That is why the new kids were successful because they had good family values, and the Mother's were caring and gave their sons lifelong lessons that allowed the boys to develop into intelligent, articulate, sophisticated men who care about their fans.
This got me in my feelings. I have my adult best friend and it was late in life. U can't understand as a young person. I've had hundreds of good friends. But I'm set now, I have my adult best friend and it's for life. I didn't know Betty and Alma were so close. Breaks my heart for Alma to have been so close during Betty's breast cancer, then to lose her. Love these boys.

Donnie us just a regular guy. He and brother Mark never forgot where they came from. Just regular guys. And that's why they are so special. They came from the hard working family's.
