Donald Glover is dressed as Cleavon Little's character from Blazing saddle and Danny Pudi is dress as Clint Eastwood's character from A Fistful of Dollars.
After years of watching this episode of "Community," I recently realized that their card names associated to them reflected the cards that they selected while voting on Pierce.
For those not familiar, "The Good The Bad and The Ugly" was the 3rd movie of the series, the first two being "A Fistful of Dollars" and "For a Few Dollars More"
Harmon's not a fan of Lost. In a recent episode of Harmontown he said that he only watched the first season of the show and he said, "As a writer I know when I'm getting dicked around." He doesn't seem to be a fan of heavily serialized shows in general. Really preferring for things to be wrapped up in a single episode.
That show did not do serialized shows justice. It was kind of fine to watch it when it aired, but looking back that whole mystery box schtick was annoying as fuck.
@@dangshnizzle6929 There's a difference between full serialization and episodic serialization. Full serialization requires that you need to watch episode to episode to understand the events of the show. Episodic serialization tells an overarching narrative, but each episode is contained within itself. While each episode of Community largely functions on its own, it does keep track of a consistent narrative. The characters gradually change over time and continuity is maintained. Other shows that do this are Gravity Falls, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and even Rick and Morty. Most live-action drama series generally follow the full serialization format.
The episodes did not air back to back. Everyone had to wait a week. They showed clips of the final at the end of this episode. Orginal plan was to have a one hour episode.
This one is my second favourite episode (my favourite is cooperative calligraphy, the lost pen episode). This episode has got the amazing insane movie homage stuff, but it is also an extremely good character episode for Annie and Pierce and the way they relate to the rest of the group. Just fantastic how community manages to tell important character story while doing these over the top crazy episodes.
Goddamn I randomly came back to watch this for the Josh Holloway reveal and only just realised every character’s splash card is the card they used to vote out Pierce. That’s why Annie is the only red suit snd Pierce doesn’t get one.
I’m ashamed at how long it took me to notice that their playing card monikers are the cards they used to vote on Pierce, that’s why he didn’t get one himself in the episode
Yeah I get that, I just wanted to ask since last week Suraj said that there'd maybe be a double upload this week. But they never confirmed or denied it (or maybe they did on the schedule)
GREAT FILMS to check out Dollar's Trilogy: GBU, FFD, FDM Once Upon a Time in the West Wild Bunch Tombstone Outlaw Josey Wales Unforgiven Duck, You Sucker Blazing Saddles My Name is Nobody Butch Cassidy/Sundance Kid True Grit High Noon Man Who Shot Liberty Valance Hang Em High Pale Rider Navajo Joe 3:10 to Yuma High Plains Drifter McLintock Hateful 8 Searchers Death Rides a Horse
Cool reaction video. You kept all the good moments, aside from Brie's "we created a monster" (which has always been one of my favorite along with McHale's famous "you think you're good-looking"). But are you really gonna wait a whole week to do episode 24 ? That would be pretty lame.
Do they not know this is part 1, and the next episode is part 2 Edit - I'm sure there's like a trailer for part 2 at the end of this episode did the version they watch not have it. Spoilers there going from a western to a star wars motif.
I feel like they don't know what "high frame rate" is. None of that was HFR, and actual HFR is trippy and hideous to watch, it doesn't improve the viewing experience at all.
Funny thing is I made my wife watch the whole lost series(which is her favourite by the way) just so I could make her watch this episode on community and blow her mind. (Ofcourse her favourite character is Sawyer).
Who on earth is Sawyer? I've seen this episode tons of times and never thought twice about this character, but to see the normies getting so hyped I'm curious. Who is Sawyer?
9:06 Yeah cus you always call someone you wanna be intimate with “a good kid” Does this girl watch the show I mean some of the shit she says is just so random.
Oh, I don't feel superior by correcting people's spelling. Perhaps it's just a bad habit of mine to correct spelling errors when I see them. My bad, didn't mean to offend.
This is a Russo Bros episode..... In fact, this episode & the next one is the reason they got hired by Marvel for _Captain America: The Winter Soldier_
Because it's a Western themed GAME, and all was part of a conspiracy, the white-dressed team whiping out the cowboys when the plan fails, Vicky and Garret still dancing like robots following a script.
Luchocale Wow. You are overthinking it *way* too much. It's like me asking if the Halloween episode was based on Shawn of the Dead, just because it's a comedy with zombies. No, the episode was a parody of the genre, same goes for this western episode.
i just noticed that at the dinner table scene, everyone is in ther normal seats except Pierce and Jeff are swapped. Clever
Great catch!
Donald Glover is dressed as Cleavon Little's character from Blazing saddle and Danny Pudi is dress as Clint Eastwood's character from A Fistful of Dollars.
Yeah, I've noticed the similarity between Troy's outfit and the one used by the sheriff from Blazing Saddles.
These episodes are what got Kevin Feige's attention in meeting the Russo Brothers for Winter Soldier.

In the words of Britta(who is the worst): "Duh-doy"
The episodes didn't air back to back. We had to wait an entire week for the second part. That was pretty cruel of NBC LOL
Cruel of the normies to make us wait a week too! Damn them!
5:00 lmao Chris reacting to the rest of the Normies' reaction to Sawyer
Is that frickin Sawyer? That's frickin Sawyer😱
Araani M I never noticed that. I just watched for the others reactions but his anticipation of their reaction is awesome
@@joevictor53 I love your reaction to the reaction about Chris reacting to the other normies reacting to Sawyer.

5:05 for the Sawyer moment.
Because you know you're rewatching it multiple times to get each of their reactions.
😂
5:18 Now we know that Rana really liked Sawyer :)
Watched their reactions again in x 0.25/0.5 speed
Who is he from?
@@lastfirst1516 Lost. I can't stand watching it but it's a favourite of some of the Normies.

After they basically revealed that the monster was a smoke monster, i knew it was going to be crap.
The promo for this episode didn't show Josh Holloway but it did show that shot of Alison Brie running in slow motion!
Huh? I remember he was in the promos...
Garrett, Leonard, and Vicki are always the entertainment in these episodes.b
Your faces when we got to the Josh Holloway reveal...so awesome. Totally worth the wait.
Chris' alter-ego, Spoiler-man, made an appearance near the end lol
"i gotta better look at him, hes not that handsome" :D:D
>show disbelief that fans had to wait a week for part two of this episode
>still makes subscribers wait a week for their reaction to said episode
I was waiting for Suraj's reaction
I enjoyed the manspreading in this reaction
FINALLY!!! So worth the wait.
same there's a few episodes i like better than this one-but this is the reaction been most excited for
I had to go rewatch their 2x11 reaction after this.
You forgot the cut scene in the credits where they were told their resistance is as useless as their degrees
The other major LOST reference we were all waiting for 😜
Bleh! 😜
Hard to say who's more in love with the Black Rider, Rana or Suraj.

I love how they all screamed! Man I love me some Sawyer
Is he related to zoey holloway?
of course chris comes back for the paintball episode 🤣
The audience needs episode 2x24
NOW!
One more ep of season 2 to go "For a Few Paintballs More"
Rana: "-laughs- the music..."
